I was very satisfied with this Hampton Inn. The check-in and out were smooth and the staff members were friendly and informative. The entire room was very clean, the elevators were quick to serve, and we spent a quiet evening with no hall noise. We enjoyed a plentiful complimentary breakfast and the courteous breakfast staff. 10.2020 This hotel is so convenient to many businesses. There is a shopping center across the street with a Walmart, novelty stores, food warehouse and a host of fast food places, as well as another shopping center across the street from them. The check in process was so easy, quick and convenient. There are a few amenities available that I didn't indulge in (gym, indoor pool, business center, wifi, breakfast to go, etc). This place is the full package. My room was spacious, clean and comfy. There is not one thing I would change about choosing this place! We stay at a lot of Hampton Inns and this is definitely a contender for the nicest we've ever visited. It's exceptionally nice and new-looking in the lobby area, with beautiful flooring and a whimsical little horse sculpture by the elevators. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and most of all, quiet. Both our digital keys worked for the two rooms, which hasn't always been the case at Hamptons. The front desk staff were friendly. Complimentary waters were left in our rooms. Check-in and check-out were both a breeze. Wifi worked great. Complimentary breakfast among the better ones we've had at a Hampton (OK, the bananas were overripe, but that's the only nit I have). My wife, my infant, and I stayed here for 1 night during our stay in the Poconos region. I didn't love my experience at this hotel and I would not be gung-ho about staying here again. These are some of the things I did not like about the place: 1. At the breakfast the following morning, I was a little surprised to see paper plates. But even more so, there was a bit of motel feel in the breakfast area that perhaps I hadn't expected at a Hampton Inn. What annoyed me more were the timings of the breakfast. On a weekend, it does make sense in my view to have the breakfast stay open for longer than 10 a.m. But even if that isn't the case, it makes sense to replenish items on the buffet at least until 10 a.m. - the stated time until which the breakfast stays open. However, I found that the pancake mix had finished by around 9:25 a.m. and the person dealing with it, seemed unperturbed by that fact. That is unacceptable. 2. When we were unloading our luggage, we were somewhat inconvenienced by the complete lack of luggage carts in the check-in area. Given that it was late in the evening and we had a 4-month old infant with us, it would have been nice to have had some help but unfortunately there was none. 3. And lastly, the entrance to the hotel is a bit hard to find. One can see the hotel as one is driving on Nazareth Rd. but the entrance isn't located on Nazareth Rd. itself. One has to take a right turn on Nazareth Rd. (we were coming from Milford Beach) and then look around a bit before one comes across the entrance to the hotel. Now as I was writing the review, I chatted with my wife to see what her impressions of the place were and they were much more favorable than mine. Her reference point is a Hampton Inn in NYC that she travels to occasionally for work and compared to that she liked this hotel. In her view, there were a number of healthy options in the breakfast area that she liked (smoothies and yoghurt for example) and she also found the room to be well-equipped with tables and chairs in order to keep our stuff. But because this is my review - and not hers - my view is that a hotel which charges $164 a night in the Poconos (and not in Manhattan) should have all of the features which my wife liked and not have the shortcomings that I listed. That therefore justifies my 3-star review, i.e. a pretty average place and not a place that I would feel enthusiastic about staying in again. read more

Upon arrival the hotel staff were very friendly. I arrived approximately 1 hour before check in and a room was available, which I extremely appreciated after a 2 hour drive to get there. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable. The room seemed recently updated. I unpacked my luggage. Approximately 2 hours into me stay i went to use the bathroom and noticed the toilet seat cover was broken, no big deal i was still able to utilize it without injuring myself. I didn't want to move all my belongings to another room so I dealt with it. The second evening as I was getting ready to go out to my dinner reservations I stepped out of the shower and noticed 2 bugs crawling along the bathroom floor. I thought to myself maybe they were attracted to the wet towel on the floor. They looked like roaches, I later learned they were box tree bugs. No big deal or so I had (mistakenly thought) I killed them and continued to get ready for dinner. As I exited the bathroom I noticed 2 more of said bugs on the door, then a few on the ceiling, 1 on my bed, a few near the window and the air conditioning unit. It was as if they were multiplying, I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I was afraid that they may have crawled into my luggage and other belongings, I was totally grossed out by this ordeal. I went to the front desk and discreetly informed the employee of my situation, I didn't want to alarm any of the other guests. She was so kind and helpful, she assigned me another room which I really did appreciate. As I moved my belongings to the new room which was 1 floor up I took the stairs I noticed more of the bugs in the ice machine area and in the stairway. I was so disgusted. I couldn't sleep that night I felt as if the bugs were crawling on me. I feel so disgusted. I departed the hotel at 3am there was no employee at the lobby desk to inform. I headed for the 2 plus hour drive home without sleeping. I just couldn't wait to get into my own bed. I shook all of my personal belongings to make sure I didn't take any of those disgusting bugs home. That afternoon I called the hotel lobby and spoke with a very kind, caring and professional woman employee. She informed me that those bugs are box tree bugs from the trees outside nonetheless I was still disgusted by the whole ordeal. I requested some type of refund at least for the 2nd night since I had departed at 3am. She informed me that she would have to speak to her manager which is understandable and I appreciated her assistance. A day or 2 went by and no call from a manager of that location, so I called corporate and explained my situation. They offered me points for a future stay. I just wanted to let them know that I just wanted an acknowledgment from the manager as to my situation. I accepted the points but truthfully I will most likely never stay at a Hampton inn again. The manager showed a complete lack of professionalism or empathy for my situation. So disgusted by the manager's inaction and from the many unwanted visitors to my room. read more

We came here this weekend for a ski trip to pocono mountains. Our first time skiing so we were excited. I chose this hotel for two reasons: 1. Location right in the middle of bluemountain and camelback mountain as we were headed to these for activities. 2. Hilton honors The hotel was clean, breakfast included, staff was nice. The reason I am giving them one star less is because I asked for a good view facing room and even if the hotel was almost empty they ended up giving me a room on the 3rd level facing all the mechanical equipment right outside of my window. Generally good hotel here. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly enough, and a decent selection of free breakfast. As others have noted, it is a bit hard to find but my GPS app (Waze) directed me to it easily enough. I did find a bug on the floor of my bathroom at one point but was told that they do occasionally show up in Pennsylvania this time of year and while they do their best to stop them, they do occasionally show up. This is somewhat understandable I guess. And it was just a millipede or something, not some horrible pest like bedbugs which can ruin your trip and your life, so it's not too big a deal. On a couple of occasions the staff would be away from the desk when I needed something or the phone would ring a bunch of times before anyone answered when I called the front desk, but everyplace is understaffed right now, I don't blame the staff who do work there for that. They were doing the best they could. Still, it's worth noting here. read more

My wife & I stayed at your hotel this past Saturday night, 5/8/21. Donna was at the desk to check us in. She was a very friendly, helpful & professional person. We had done a lot of tough driving & were very tired. We asked her for any ideas re food delivery & she couldn't be more positive in her willingness to help us. She had a smile on her face the entire time & we deeply appreciate her kindness. She made our stay at this hotel a very positive experience. When we went to checkout, she was again at the front desk. Found out she also had been the bartender the night before, until 1:30 AM & was back at the front desk at 7:00 AM. She is a great asset to your hotel & you are lucky to have her there. read more

Stayed here when I came to PA for a wedding. The hotel is rather easy to find though the entrance is off to the side off another street. Parking is plentiful and free (yay). The rooms were clean and spacious though a bit outdated. It also had a fridge and microwave which was very useful. There is also a free breakfast during till 10am and it was just ok. I have been to other Hampton inns and enjoyed it more elsewhere since the offering were more tasty and plentiful. Also, I did not like that there was only one waffle maker since it was always occupied. The hotel also offers free wifi which was great and fast. I used it to stream Hulu+ through my ipad and it only had connection problems once or twice. Overall decent and an A-OK place to stay the night read more

Hampton inns are good for what you get. Plain, simple and basic. Unfortunately, this Hampton experience was not as good as it could of been. Pros- Breakfast spread was great. 2 waffle irons, hot food...you name it, they have it. Room is good and clean. Plenty of towels. Cons- Pool was closed for maintenance and has been for weeks supposedly. The bar area that many reviews had loved was never open and no explanation was given. Two of the biggest appeals to this hotel were closed so I can't say I am 100% thrilled with my stay. If pool and bar are open, this gets four stars. read more

My family and I stayed here 1 night and overall it was ok. There were definitely some positives but the negatives balanced them out. Positives: The pool was nice and clean, free cookies, the breakfast was good and the internet worked well. My kids were able to use their iPads while we used our phones with no lag time. Definitely a plus. Also, the staff was friendly. Negatives: The room was clean up to a point. The sofa bed definitely looked liked it had been through a lot and was WELL past it's prime. It was dirty, sagging and uncomfortable. When pulling out the bed we had to improvise with extra layers of bedding to make it comfortable. In addition, when walking into the room, there wasn't that pleasant smell that I look for when I walk into a hotel room. It may have even had a slight funky smell. Who knows, maybe this smell was coming from that worn out sofa. I would stay here again if I had too. Maybe the next room given to me won't be as bed. The amenities made up for it. read more

Extremely dissatisfied with my stay here on 6/1/19. Myself and my wife are both active duty military and we're up on work duty and thought this would be a perfect place to relax and get some sleep. Room was fine until we laid down to take a quick nap before dinner at around 6pm when all you could hear was the thumping of music from downstairs. We called and were told that it was due to a Birthday party and that quiet hours did not start until 10pm and they could move us from the 3rd floor to the 5th floor which they did. Unfortunately the loud music continued well past 11:30pm. In the morning my wife almost slipped in the elevator due to liquid all over the floor. We wanted to speak with a manager but there were none available until the next day. The staff member on shift was not helpful and acted like it was not her problem. I would not recommend this location or stay again. read more

We stayed here for two nights during a ski trip, and would definitely stay again. The place offers a great deal where you get two ski passes with your room. While I wouldn't call this place a cheap stay, we definitely saved money through this deal and were pretty pleased. Additionally, our rooms were large and clean and I enjoyed the free continental breakfast. They had a wafflemaker! That was definitely exciting and one of the better continental breakfasts I have had. The location is OK, kind of ugly area on a nondescript highway. But there are plenty of restaurants around and of course it is close to skiing so in the end, not bad. Recommended for those looking for skiing deals nearby. read more

My family stayed here for one night because we were attending a wedding. The wedding rate was lower than what the hotel quoted on travel web site so that was a nice plus. The room that we stayed in was clean and the bed was comfortable. They offer free breakfast. I think they are those heat-and-serve type, but I can't complain because of the price that I paid. In a way, the complimentary breakfast is a better deal than some of the 5-star hotels that I stayed in where I was nickel-and-dime at every little thing. We needed a place to stay for one night as we were on a two day mission to pick up a puppy! We arrived late and left early with no problems. Giving this Hampton 2 stars because of noise. 2 issues. First, the elevator is adjacent to my room (09 series, ie, 209, 309, 409, etc). Every time it moves (amazingly all night long), you can hear the whirring of the mechanics as it glides along. You can also hear voices/conversation inside the elevator in the room, and I was awoken during some loud exchanges on both nights I spent there. Secondly, this Hampton allows rowdy parties with live music. On Friday, the noise was acceptable and did not interrupt sleep. On Saturday, however, we could not drown it out and the bass or drum beats filled the room until about Midnight, preventing sleep. The rest of the experience was the usual Hampton - room was clean, beds very comfortable, etc. Shame about the other negatives that would prevent my coming back. read more

The room is why I rate the room only two stars. The bed feels like I'm laying on springs. It is NOT comfortable at all! The pillows are great. But the bed is not. I've stayed at other hotel chains that are what I'd consider lower end and the beds feel so much better than these beds here! The room is also pretty small for money. I expected a bit more room in my room. For the value, I'd say go to another chain. I'll never stay in another Hampton Inn solely because the bed (one of the most important parts of a hotel!!) is absolutely horrible! read more

First time in a Hampton Inn with a bar. Great staff, great pour, good selection for hotel bar. No food, but staff is quick to provide delivery menu if the Amish pretzels aren't enough. Atmosphere is all hotel bar, but personal music playing makes up for it. Best Hampton Inn amenity ever! read more

Once again Hampton Inn lived up to our expectations. Clean, comfortable and cozy!!! This particular Hampton Inn was my favorite because of the location of the bar to the pool. Even when I went to the bar to refill my drink the kind bartender offered a safe glass so I could enjoy my beverage at the pool. My only wish was if there was a person to come to the pool for refills. Lol. I know I'm spoiled. I know it's not a cruise. Hehe. But I was on vacation so a girl can dream. Really not clean. Dust & dirt in all corners of the hallway and room. Purple carpet in the hallway looked faded by the layer of dust at the corners and edges. The room was the same with layers of dust and dirt at the edges, inside the closet, and between the furniture. Bathroom had pink mold on toilet and shower. Reminded me of a well used airport hotel but this is not an airport hotel. Heavy fragrance that'll make those sensitive feel terrible. Maybe it's cleaned monthly and I happen to be here on day 29. WiFi was terrible for it required constant full login every few minutes. Was on 2nd floor and had 2 bars. Great location though with shopping and restaurants nearby. Free cookies upon check-in and free snacks late night in the bar area. The bar was reasonably priced for a hotel bar and they accommodated the entire wedding party for post reception festivities. I travel a fair amount for work and probably stay in up to 10 different Hampton Inn's per year. This is, by far, the nicest Hampton Inn that I have stayed at. The lobby and breakfast areas are designed very nicely and are very clean. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are typical Hampton Inn rooms, but again very clean. The best feature is the bar! I have not been to another Hampton Inn with a bar, and this is a nice one, with a friendly bartender and great selection and prices. This Hampton Inn is the most run-down steaming pile of horse manure of a hotel ever. The nice staff was pretty much the only upside to this hotel. Where do I begin on the negatives. The whole entire hallway area smelled like something had died in it. It also felt like there was no air in it. That was nothing compared to the room. The AC was cranked up so high I began sweating. Our carpet was wet and smelled like a sweaty tourist in 90-100 degree weather. My bed was made but somehow wrinkled? To top all of that, the free wi-fi I was promised ended up being non-existent. How do you pay for something that doesn't exist? When I called for help at the front desk, they told me: "Our apologies, but we don't really have anyone who can help with that." Avoid this hotel. This hotel is very clean and the staff is amazing. One of the ladies gave me and my mom free water bottles and continued to basically serve us while eating our breakfast.
