I haven't been here in a while. My family had a reservation on Friday evening. We were seated upon arrival and our waitress was very accommodating. We ordered appetizers, the jalapeño crab stuffed peppers were very good. We ordered our entrees and one person in our party didn't feel well so we asked them to box our order to go and they were very quick to help and accommodate us. Great lunch find while visiting Martin Guitars. Friendly service, quaint atmosphere and relaxed setting. We had cheesesteak sandwiches which were fresh and well seasoned. I chose to do chicken buffalo style and was super pleased with the melted blue cheese and sautéed onions. My husband had the Fisherman's Pie, I thought he was going to eat the bowl! This place is old school, like really old school. If you've be been searching for a place that still has Salisbury steak and liver and onions on the menu then you're in luck. If you want any semblance of modern healthy food, this isn't your spot. After looking over the menu and not really loving the options I settled on scallops. It was basically the only thing I could eat that wasn't breaded or fried. The scallops came with two sides, side options were also super unhealthy. Zero vegetables to choose from, but they happened to have cauliflower on special that day. I opted for cauliflower and mashed potatoes. I'm not sure if the mashed potatoes were homemade or not but they were not good. They were lumpy and bland and needed some major seasoning. The scallops came out swimming in a pool of butter, too much butter. The cauliflower was the best part of the meal. Another funny thing was that my stepmom ordered an apple martini. They made a regular martini and poured on apple juice, yes apple juice! Umm what? That's gross, just say you don't know how to make it! I would not come back here. Stopped by for some tacos and went to sit at the bar by my self and was asked if I called ahead for a single seat at the bar. I said in the 15 plus years of being a customer there that was the first time I was told you need a reservation for the bar. And there were six open seats. Had been a here a few times over the years and I decided to stop by again after reading some favorable reviews. Got there very early on a Saturday and with our reservation. Nothing that we had would we get again. The bacon wrapped scallops were overcooked scallops and strips of bacon not really wrapping but laying on top almost raw on one end and burnt black on the other. My "po boy" was like a cheap carnival stand sandwich and my wife's ham steak was bland. Service was ok but our silverware was greasy and didn't look so clean. My fork had a chunk of dried food stuck to it so I asked for another fork, which never came. Giving two stars because I try to save 1 for truly scary experiences. Our family is a regular visitor to Cherry Hill. The food is consistently very good-excellent at reasonable prices. There are a regular raw bar and steamed clam specials; and if you like fried oysters this is your place to be. Over our visits the oysters, calves liver, roast beef, fish&chips, fresh salads, beef tenderloin roll-ups, strip sirloin, filet mignon and lobster tails have all crossed our table. We have never been disappointed with the quality of quantity. Finally, the most desserts are home made by a local pastry chef and are great. The service is always prompt and pleasant. I really hate writing negative reviews, but second time here and my experience was not positive First, yes we were a large party, and with that I expect things to take a little longer then I'm acustom too. Now we were there on "clam night", that being said out waitress asked if anybody was ordering clams and or appetizers, a few did, she said she will put them in first so that it doesn't take long, first batch comes out everybody digs in, (except my wife and I) soups and apps follows, now we expected to order. It's been a half hour since we were seated. Nope, waitresses asked who is ready for the second batch. Of course they all said yes, then she left... Uh...yeah.. Mean while the table behind us. Sat at the same time. As well, also a larger party, ordered drinks,apps, and main courses. While we didn't even order. She finally comes back with their (other tables) food, and says I'll be right over to take your order!. My wife just about lost it. An hour later and we were finally ordering, no big deal for most of the table they had clams but some of us were holding out for the main course, we finally ordered about an hour after being seated. Now, we wait again, I ordered chopped steak medium, with periogies and corn nuggets, my wife ordered chicken parm. Along with her uncle sitting next to her. When the food finally came, it was the smallest, saddest, chopped steak I ever seen. It was well done and dry. the gravy tasted like it was from a can. The periogies came out almost ten minutes later, they some how managed to over cook them on the outside and under cook them on the inside. The corn nuggets were the best part of the meal and I know those were frozen, oh by the way for those two sides was and extra cost, for an already over priced chopped steak. Chicken parm, it's one of my favorite dishes, it's my go to when I'm not sure what I want, in stark contrast to my little dry burger patty, my wife's chicken parm was two generous portions of chicken with a helping of pasta and garlic bread. At first she said it was pretty good. But that was the first bite, I noticed right away the chicken parm was uh..dark..like left in the fryer too long, sure enough the breading had a burnt taste to it. In some part straight up black (see photo) she was not alone. Her uncles was darker, and he instantly regretted changing his order from the seafood combo to the chicken parm, he was pretty vocal about it. Despite being so hungry both only finished one piece of chicken. In fact her uncle wouldnt take the left over and tasked us to take them. Trying to eat it for lunch now I can see exactly what they were talking about. It's over cooked and taste burnt. I've eaten a lot of chicken parm, but this is up there with the worse I've eaten. Over all I can't recommend this place, even though it seems to be a favorite of my wife's family, food seems pre packaged and frozen, which I can deal but not for the prices, and the execution, way too expensive for portions. Started with a peach bourbon old fashion and ordered the baby back ribs with mashed potatoes and gravy. Push aside your knife and fork and pick up the ribs and dig in. Just enough BBQ sauce on top and as they say they fell off the bone. Others in our party, had the Delmonico steak sandwich and scallops in butter, seafood pot pie, and the chicken taco. I've been before, but this place has new owners. Had NE clam chowder - very good & a fish taco also good. - Food 4 stars Ordered my usual - Ketel One & club soda, but they don't carry Ketel. So I got Grey Goose. The fruit was bad & bartender didn't have a problem w/ serving it - sad & that'll be some bad service right there. Bartender also kept running back & forth to get the kitchen orders - Hello hire a food runner, really some high school kid would love to get $8. per hour & free meal. read more

Only one sort of negative comment: If you're looking for date night ambiance, go somewhere else. This is just a basic bar with an attached restaurant and it's a bit dated inside. However, if you're looking for basic, really tasty food with generous portions, this is your place. As you'll see by the online menu, it's quite inexpensive but, nonetheless, my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I'm a somewhat picky eater but there were 5-6 other things on the menu that I'd order without hesitation; sometimes I struggle to find one. All in all, the next time I'm in the area, I'll look forward to returning here. read more

Pleasant surprise today when we choose this restaurant from Yelp list and had a delicious lunch. Food was fresh. Burgers were handmade. My flounder taco was tasty and both people who ordered soup, New England clam chowder and lobster bisque, both with chunks of clams and/or lobster enjoyed the flavors & hardiness.
