We arrived at night and the lady working the night shift refused to open the doors for us, even though it claims they are open 24 hours, so we ended up staying in our camper van and then at 4am when my whole family was asleep she came and banged on the door and told us we had to leave. We never distributed anyone and we parked far out on a dirt plot of land. She yelled at us to leave as if we didn't try to come in and stay earlier. Spent the night here with construction on the other side of my wall. Banging on my literal wall, not down the hall. Workers in an out of the hallway in front of my room with no privacy. Also, the fridge froze all of my food and drinks, so no lunch today. Sadie, the manager had nothing to say about this, and offered no reconciliation. Instead, she was rude in her response. I was in Wyoming for the first time for work. There are some pretty scenic drives to Evanston from SLC. Right before we pulled into the freeway exit leading into the hotel we saw lots of liquor stores and liquor and fireworks stores. The place is named Pyro City - guess you can light it up all year round! Anyways... The hotel itself is clean, affordable (~$100/night), and has excellent staff. Run out of free cookies? No problem they took the tray and immediately refilled it full of mac-nut chocolate chips for us. Free and powerful wifi. Rooms were large and beds super soft and comfortable. Bottled water is also free - just ask at the front desk. We will definitely choose this hotel on our next visit to the area! I'm normally a strict Marriott fan but Hampton Inn being part of the Hilton Chain is also very good. read more

We stopped here to charge our car and really thought this place was clean and nice with lots of accommodations and facilities.

This place is super clean and modern. My room was spacious and relaxing. I love that the toiletries are Neutrogena products, which is absolutely awesome for your skin. I had a microwave and refrigerator in my room, which came in handy for storing and reheating leftover chili. There is a decent pool and whirlpool, which I found myself in the whirlpool. It was a lower temperature than normal hot tubs, but that just meant I could sit in it longer, without having to get out. Check in was easy since we already had reservations. Now this review would have been a 5 star, except for my experience during checkout. Overnight, they put a receipt under your door so that you can do an express checkout. I know it says that my card WILL be this amount and my total due WILL be $0, but I really need a bill that shows I in fact did pay. So, I go to the front desk and wait 5 min for an employee. She asked if she could help me and I tell her I need to checkout. She asked if I received a bill under my door and when I told her yes, she responded that I was all set. I told her that I needed a bill with a zero balance to show that I paid my bill. She tells me that she can only print what was slid under my door. I tell her that it's not true because the night before I stayed in an Hampton Inn in another city and they were able to give me a zero balance bill. Her response was "Well, that's because you stayed more than one night." Um no, I only stayed 8 hrs there. It wasn't until I showed her my bill from the other Hampton Inn that she actually wanted to check me out and give me a zero balance bill. Finally, I received a zero balance bill. She then asks me if I still needed the bill slid under my door. When I told her no, she gave me what I needed, she responds "OK" with an attitude then musters a "Have a good day" still with an attitude. I used to work the front desk at a hotel and I know that asking for a zero balance bill is not a huge request; it's actually part of the job working at the front desk. And I NEVER did nor would have given a guest attitude. Furthermore, as a guest, I should not know that you're a smoker. She smelled like she just took her smoke break and came to the front desk. read more

Hampton Inn's are generally very clean and pleasant to stay at and this one is no different. With their digital check-in and key I was able to go directly to my room. The reason I am giving them a less-than-great rating is two-fold: -I called them a few days before my trip to specifically confirm that they still had their kitchen open for breakfast. They said there wouldn't be any of the usual warm food which was a bummer but understandable. However, I was told their cold items would still be available like cereal, yogurt, etc. That ended up being false as all I received was a sack containing a muffin, water, and a bruised apple. If I wanted that for breakfast I could have gone to any other hotel as that's what they are doing. Please stop advertising free breakfast as that is not even close. -Check out is at 11am and because I had planned to bike around for a few hours in the morning I was going to stay until that time. One of the housekeepers pestered me three times before 11 asking when I was leaving. I understand they're on a tight schedule to clean all the rooms but after the first time I told her I'd be staying until 11 she should have continued to clean the other rooms. My visit was in early June on business. The staff was friendly, though it seemed like some of the staff members I spoke to were new and uncertain about some questions I had. The room was excellent. Not a single issue. Loved the big screen t.v. and the fact there was a fridge in my room. They offer a continental breakfast. We stopped here on our road trip to Colorado and the experience has been nothing but great and worth writing about! We checked in around 11pm last night and the lovely gal at the front desk was so warm and helpful with getting us checked in. She was very personable, friendly and professional. The room was very clean and pretty. It had all the accommodations we wanted: microwave, fridge, hairdryer, tv, etc and even a huge shower! Plus they had an indoor pool and jacuzzi on site! The breakfast buffet was awesome too. They had a make it yourself waffle iron and it was delicious. They had a good variety of choices of foods and what I liked most was the oatmeal bar- perfectly cooked with toppings available like dried fruit, maple sugar, fresh fruit and slivered almonds. The only thing was I wish there was was a nondairy option for milk but I didn't even ask soooo that's my problem! Otherwise a perfect start to a day back on the road. Thanks Hampton! Great service! The rooms were adequate (we had an issue with the room thermostat and temperature), but the service was outstanding. For example, Jessica went out of here way this AM to make turkey sausages for my wife, who suffers from allergies and couldn't eat all of the breakfast food. We stayed there one night in January. When I booked online, the hotel details stated that they accepted pets, and no fees were posted or mentioned. I checked on the reservation request that we were traveling with our pet. When we arrived the lady at the desk said they didn't accept pets. I told her that the web site indicated they did and that I had included that on my reservation. She looked again at her computer and said "oh, there it is" and that they were in the process of changing over to accepting pets and she was unaware they had already started. She never mentioned any pet fee. When we checked out I had the receipt emailed to me - when I got the email I was shocked to see that they had charged a $50 pet fee! I called a day later asking to have the charge refunded since we were never advised there was one, and the person I spoke with said that the manager was not there and she would submit for a refund but to check back with the manager if it didn't go through. A week or so later I checked back (as I did not receive a refund) and again the manager was not there but they assured me the manager would call me. I have never gotten a call. I complained to Hilton guest services and they have told me multiple times that they have reached out to the hotel on my behalf and that the hotel will contact me but they never do. I still expect a refund as there is still no indication of a pet fee in the hotel details and they have no right to charge one if they don't communicate it, and I have multiple screen shots showing that the fees were not posted on their website or app at that time. I have continued my quest for a refund by filing a complaint with the BBB, it's not the monetary amount but the principle of the matter. It is a shoddy way to treat your customers, especially refusing to even respond. We have never had a problem with Hampton Inns' before (we frequently stay with this brand) but we will never return here, as they were not particularly friendly even before this charge. read more

I was not impressed with the hotel. I was there for business trip for 6 nights in March. First night as I started to get ready for bed after a long day of traveling, the heater wasn't working, I notified the front desk and got my room switched after a few hours of the front desk person trying to fix the heater and brought me a portable heater. I was not happy with having to pack everything and unpack to go to a different room. One of the treadmill was not working for days in the fitness center. Not enough water pressure in the shower. I was stuck in the elevator for 20 long minutes, a few days later the elevator was still not operational. Additionally I was working the night shift and housekeeping knocked on my door for service, I told her to come back and she never did. During my stay, I had to ask the housekeeping ladies twice for extra roll of toilet paper. Needless to say, I am a fan of staying at Hilton properties but absolutely not this one. If I have to come back for business again, I would not stay here. read more

Stayed there on the 1st of July. We were told that our room was $94 before taxes. They came down and interrupted our family time to tell us that our dog was crying, barking and scratching at the door. We went up right away to find that he was completely passed out, exactly how we had left him as he was heavily sedated from our trip. We called down to ask if they had the right room number as he was passed out and not crying. The woman at the desk apologized and told us to have a good night. We checked our bank account and were charged $199 dollars! When we called to discuss the woman said we initialed papers that said we agreed to $139 and a $50 dog fee. They told us we were asked to come down to sign a waiver for the dog and that we had refused. We were never asked!!! We also wouldn't have stayed there if we had known about the outrageously priced pet fee! Breakfast was horrible. We had a small child that needed milk and they didn't even have anywhere to buy small bottles! Would never stay there again If my life depended on it! read more

Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else, anywhere else! I had to switch to 3 different rooms in less than 3 hours. Room #1 only blew out freezing cold air, Room #2 was clean (except for the half used water bottle), but it was at the end of the hallway and apparently rooms at the end of the hallway do not get internet or cell service, Room #3 did not have a refrigerator nor a working phone. The hotel also does not do a great job of keeping the sidewalks salted and de-iced - I slipped and hit the ground hard! The staff was nice (especially Yolanda), but I have never wanted to scream so much in my whole life. All of the frustration, on top of a $100 room rate, was not worth it. We're sort of road weary after 3 weeks of traveling and staying in hotels, but of all the hotel rooms we've been in from Boise, to Provo, to Denver, to Boulder to Steamboat Springs--all pale in comparison. The room was so spacious and full of light-we had two large windows with a wonderful view. My husband & I said we could live in that room for a long time. Comfortable seating, nice table for eating and computing, great kitchen space! My only complaint is that the Hamptons don't have what we like for breakfast. They have oatmeal but it's kind of watery and not very hot. We prefer our hard boiled eggs already peeled. The fruit doesn't really taste fresh. We don't eat the waffles or the scrambled egg dishes due to calorie concerns.But I don't fault Evanston for that because the lesser breakfasts are in all the Hampton Inns. HIlton needs to improve that quality. We prefer Marriott breakfasts in general. The Evanston hotel was gorgeous. read more
