So quiet and relaxing!! We've stayed in quite a few lodgings the last week and a half of travel and focused on "saving money". We were happy to invest a bit more for this stay. Staff were SO friendly and you could tell they enjoyed each other and their work environment. It was very peaceful in the evening, good beds and choices of pillows, clean, solid breakfast, pool was a perfect temp for a morning swim. The only negative would be that I couldn't use the fitness room due to my anaphylaxis to latex. The flooring was rubber and the whole room reeked of rubber. Rubber is made from latex so I had to avoid the room, but I got several walking laps in around the hotel. Would definitely stay here again. read more

Good solid place to stop for night when traveling. We didn't want to stay in Memphis and this was just an hour further. The hotel was full, but it was quiet. The rooms are a little drab compared to newly renovated ones, but it did the job. The bed was more on the firm side, but again, for one night it was okay. Breakfast was clean and well prepared. They had the usual waffle station, but they also had omelettes, sausage, and potatoes. Check in was quick, even with a full lobby. Used points, so I can't speak for the price. read more

We appreciated the attention to COVID cleanliness in our room. Everything was sanitized. I had requested "no-feather" pillows and the desk clerk noted the request and confirmed that our request was honored. The breakfast was surprisingly good for reduced services. An excellent egg fritata (an omelet by any other name) along with bacon was the hot portion. Of course, there were breads, fruits, cereals, and yogurt. The hotel was pretty full; so parking was a bit of an issue. But overall, an excellent overnight and I wouldn't hesitate to stop in again when we're passing through. read more

It was comfortable, clean and the staff was friendly. Pool was clean Breakfast was very good. Western Omelet, smoked sausage, potatoes, cold cereal, oatmeal, bagels and juices. Waffle maker was broken but not the staffs fault, it happens. Very close to Highway but far enough that Highway noise was not an issue. read more

So far, so good. We checked in here on a trip from central Indiana to Dallas, recommended by the friends we are visiting. We were welcomed by the smell of popcorn, an offer of chocolate chip cookies and a very informative clerk. We were checked in efficiently and took the elevator to our 2nd floor room. It was very clean and typically appointed as other Hampton Inns where we've stayed. Super hot shower, so nice on a cold evening. Everything I would expect in the bathroom here. Very nice king bed and comfy pillows, and the chaise is a very nice addition. A better than usual Hampton Inn, very much recommended. read more

This review is for May 1, 2020 about 7 weeks after Covid-19 hit and each State had their own restrictions and guidelines. I always enjoy staying at this hotel but this return trip was quite an ordeal due to the pandemic. I had to travel to Texas to close on my Mother's home on April 30th. I would have closed remotely but the buyers needed immediate possession so I had to be on-site early to remove the remaining personal property. On my trip to Texas, I had absolutely no problem staying in Arkansas at another hotel 3 hours away. After the closing, on my return home to Indiana, Arkansas was only allowing hotel stays due to emergency travel and closing on a home wasn't considered an emergency. I found myself stranded as I can't drive at night, all the other hotels had the same restriction so I found myself needing an open rest park or a nearby truck stop. My husband was livid when he thought I'd be sleeping in a rest park for the night. He called the Manager and after much discussion she allowed me to stay the one night. The one stipulation was I had to show the property closing paperwork to the night clerk upon checking in. No problem! The hotel night clerk wasn't receptive to the Manager's decision and spent the entire check-in trying to guilt me out. Even at checkout she said she hoped I understood I placed the hotel in harms way. The night clerk was not sympathic to my situation at all. Regardless, the Manager was kind, compassionate and I hope put herself in my position. Due to the pandemic the lobby furniture had been removed to provide social distancing, the breakfast buffet and dining area was closed, the lobby coffee pots had been removed and a to-go brown bag breakfast with fruit and granola bar replaced the buffet. Coffee pots were in each room if you wanted coffee otherwise you had to drive to a convenience store, Starbucks or restaurant. All staff wore masks and guests were required to wear a mask outside of the room. I am forever grateful to the Manager allowing me to stay the night and sleep in a safe environment. The pandemic has caused and continues to cause havoc with many people's life. I just didn't expect it to impact my hotel stay after being allowed to stay in another city and hotel just a week before. These are ever-changing times we're currently living in. Thank you again to the Manager. read more

We have stayed in Hamptons all over. This Hampton has no business charging what they do for this place in this city. But no many choices so I am guessing that is why. Room 236, the lamp shades are on upside down and taped because they are using the wrong light bulbs. You have to hold the potty handle down until the flushing is done. Then wait for the tank to fill up and giggle the handle to get it to stop running. I would recommend staying in Memphis or Little Rock if you are driving through. read more

We arrived around midnight after being crazy-tired from our road trip. We had reservations at the Holiday Inn Express just down the street and found bed bugs in our room there as well as crusty food under the lamp where some bugs scurried. After being rudely treated there, I didn't know if we'd have any luck at the Hampton Inn. even before learning our cause for late check-in, the front desk employee was so nice and accommodating. The rooms and facility were very clean and it was truly a breath of fresh air and respite on our journey. Thank you! read more

We have stayed at this Hampton before and had good service. However, this time the electric went off twice, once for over an hour, the next time for approximately 15 minutes. The weather was bitter and the room quickly got cold. The next morning, all we could get was lukewarm water. We left without showering. I would have thought the least they could do was check to make sure we were ok. When we left, the desk clerks seemed to know nothing about what happened the night before. It was probably the best place in this town. Took forever to get hot water in the tub. Also, I did not like the duvet cover. Stick to plain please. It was scratchy and probably not sanitary. But overall polite staff, well maintained and new. Convenient right off the freeway. I stopped here because it was exactly 400 miles on my moving trip. However the town itself was incredibly depressing and rundown. There is no place to get a healthy meal. Everything is fried, processed, and super sugared. And beware of the buffets where you can easily load 5000 calories on one plate. read more

Wow- what a pleasant surprise nestled on the edge of Forrest City, right off the I 40! Don't be afraid as you drive up the road to the hotel - once you step inside the Hampton Inn you will be super happy and feel welcomed by the amazingly friendly staff! Clean rooms, large and updated, great breakfast (waffles!), and most of all, excellent front desk staff. We were very comfortable staying overnight while in town for thanksgiving - was not sure what to expect being from CA but all the reviews are true - I would def stay here again! read more

Wow! What a wonderful stay. We stayed in a double queen suite with our children. The room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Kudos to the housekeeping staff. And thank you to the kitchen staff as the breakfast bar went above and beyond in cleanliness and selection. So did the coffee bar which had quality coffee or hot chocolate and many options so that we could make just the perfect cup! They even had stevia sweetener among the myriad of other sweeteners! The staff was very friendly and helpful and the manager (owner?) was on site overseeing everything and greeting guests with a smile. We were very impressed and are going to make it a point to stop at this Hampton Inn every time we are in the area. read more

Road tripping to see family, and we decided to mix it up and try a new stop-over. Great stay for us: clean, a pool, and a hot breakfast. Just enough for the family to relax from the long drive and get a good nights sleep. Pros: - Clean rooms - Competitive Rate - Easy access from the highway - Pool and area were clean and just the right size for some splashing fun. (Nice touch, they have a line of pool bouys at the 3 foot mark, which helps keep little ones from the deeper water.) Kinda cons: - Pool area is also right by the back entrance, lots of foot traffic around the pool. Tip: - Easy access parking from the back using your room key. read more

This place is tired, ugly, old and seriously dated. Not only that, it might just win a prize for thoughtlessness. We stayed in room 201, which I would not recommend. Not only was there no night stand or light on my side of the bed, the HVAC unit was pointed directly at my body. The HVAC system was not working properly and produced either hot air or cold air so I awoke with what appears to be a cold. The laundry room had only one working washer out of two and the desk clerk did not know how long the wash or dry cycles took. I would not stay here again and I would not recommend it. read more

Absolutely loved this place!!! This was our last stay on our 6-day road trip, and though the most expensive ($124 + tax), it was the best (we usually stay at La Quinta). The staff was above and beyond sweet, accommodating, helpful, and considerate (the sweet breakfast lady had activity packs for both my kids)! The breakfast was amazing (canadian bacon, scrambled/hard boiled eggs, french toast sticks, waffles, pastries, fruit, hot/cold cereals, cereal bars, 3 kinds of juice, and more!). And the owner was walking around, asking everyone how their stay was going. My husband said they were doing construction, so there was less parking than there should have been, but that didn't bother me. He also said the front desk staff offered mints to our kids without asking us first. I guess they should, but that's not enough for me to take off a star. Room was clean and nice. Fridge was a great size, and the toiletries were Neutrogena and way more sundries than average. Loved that because i actually left a bunch of stuff in the car and didn't want to go back out. All in all, a great stay. Wish we could have stayed longer! LOL. read more

Overall good vibes nothing more than expected. Probably the most expensive stay in the area but you get what you pay for here including complimentary cookies tea and coffee as well as toothbrushes and toothpaste and whatever else you need but I expect this from hilton brands to begin with.
