For the purpose of needing a place to stay for the night, it's ok. The room we were in could use a serious upgrade. There was mold in the shower. Furniture had some wear and tear. Ceiling had water damage. Be sure to use cash for the 100$ incidentals. You get your money back when you check out. Not months later on your card. read more

I booked this room via Hotels.com and have not been able to get a refund. This was the worst hotel value I have ever stayed at. The bathtub was filthy, the desk had some type of residue stuck to it and when I turned down the bed I found crumbs between the sheets (obviously the sheet had not been changed after the last person). I checked out before the "complementary breakfast", but from the looks of it it was nothing more than cereal or prepackaged pastries, OJ and coffee. I will never book a Red Roof Inn again! read more

Was looking for a place for the night that allowed pets and got this one. I paid 100$ for this king size room and another 100$ "disturbance free" what ever that means. I would get it back if there was not any issues. The room smelled like pot when we walked in. The walls are missing paint and the ceiling over the tub was falling in . The tv we had issues with a s found out it was not plugged in to the hdmi. The phone didn't work and the WiFi was spotty. We kept losing it ever few mins. The place was quiet in the bed was comfortable but that was it. read more

This is the worst motel. Im only giving it a1 because it won't let me give a 0. The online pics are very deceiving, it was nothing like that at all. The smell was horrendous. The walls were dirty. My socks turned very dirty after taking my shoes off. The paint was coming off the tub. And worst of all it was cock roach infested!! Everything we took got thrown away, I'm not bringing live roaches or their eggs into my new home. This place is an abomination! I added a couple photos, and I'd add the video of the baby roach if they gave that option. read more

The shower was dirty. The floors were sticky. The paint was peeling. There were two small bath towels and two hand towels for three people. Not enough parking because of the guys in the parking lot with their trucks parked diagonal in the parking spaces. read more

Easy check in, no problems with room and bed slept so good I wanted to take it with me!!! People were really friendly and courteous. Location was centrally located to the city and there was plenty of parking. I would recommend this place to anyone I know. read more

Gross. Water stained ceiling, chipped paint, stained tub and additional "guests" that came with the room. At least the roaches were small. There was an "inspirational" message left in the drawer ( attached to an empty booze bottle) and on the door. read more

This is the worst motel I've stayed in all of North America, and I travel a lot. I was driving from Tennessee to Texas in July when a pretty heavy storm hit, and I had to stop in Forrest City. As soon as you drive into town you know it's a sketchy city. All the better hotels were fully booked so I had no choice but to go the Redroof inn. The girl at the counter was nice and helpful, however I was surprised to see a $90 per night price tag for a room there. After checking in at the front desk, I had to make my way around the motel, towards the back. There way shady people hanging out in the back of the parking lot, near my room. Climbing up the second floor with my bag, I had to literally step over some crackhead having a bad trip on the ground. She was apparently my next door neighbor, or at least she was right in front of that door. When I opened the door to my room, the place smelled damp and it was musty and sort of cold and humid. There was no rugs on the floor anywhere, and very few ofanything except a bed. There was however a door that connected directly to the room next to me (see crackhead neighbor above), and I could hear that there were several people in that room, plus the tv was also playing. I could head everything. The door was locked but it felt really unsecured and easy to just kick in, and there was a 1/2" gap between the floor and the door. I was a female traveling alone and all my safety radars were going off by then. The bedside table (pretty much the only other furniture there) had a lamp on it but there was no outlet anywhere nearby to plug it in. When I got to the bathroom, I couldn't believe it... it had been cleaned but was in such a state of disrepair. Everything stained and extremely worn down, the toilet literally being brown with years of stains and probably a couple of fires being lit up in there. It was a scene straight out of the movie "Spun". I tried to convince myself to stay and get some rest, but I was bordering a panick stack by then, and after less than 10 minutes in the room, and step back outside and over the still bad tripping neighbor, and I got the hell out of town (#SSDGM), in the storm, without even bothering asking for a refund. I figured I had a better chance of survival driving through that tropical storm then staying in Forrest City a minute longer. Seriously, sketchy AF, and a total highway robbery. read more

** MOSQUITOES ** there were so many in our room! And flies! I had read about the mosquitoes in another review but figured it couldn't have been true. Well it was! Paint was also coming off of the walls, the water backed up while taking a shower, and there were stains on the sheets. I will not be staying at a Red Roof again read more

It's 12:30 am and I can hear every word from the next room. The bathroom is a disaster. The tub is missing a wall and there is s huge nail in the side of the tub. This was booked on Hotels.com and I will never use them again either. Oh, and the heater/ac doesn't work. Avoid this place! read more

Convenient location just off the interstate. Room is simple but clean. Syretha, the receptionist, was extremely friendly and helpful.

I stayed for two days there. the room was well cleaned but in state of disrepair. First the heater was coming away from the wall so daylight could be seen. The cool outside air flowed over controls so the heater would not shut off. Second that the TV would not work. I reported these problems and was told that they would fix it (never happened). I had booked a smoking room. The room that I got was a non smoking room complete with no smoking signs. When I asked for a smoking room I was told that the room was a smoking room. I told the clerk that no smoking signs were still up and it would be a crime to smoke in that room. A bit later the clerk told me that they had no smoking rooms and they intended to make that room a smoking room. At this point I smelled a bit of a scam brewing (lucky I didn't light up in there). When I raised these issues at check out, I was told I was told I was a Liar. When I said that I was with a friend when I first told the clerk on duty these issues I was meet with a loud voice stating that I was still a liar. Then the clerk used a vulgar phrase in her native tongue (that I understood) at that point I left fearing that hearing any more of that vulgar abuse that the clerk might possibly raise me to a state of anger where I might just need bail money ( I believe that could have been the clerk's goal). read more

Super friendly staff. Very accommodating. Hotel is in transition of new management and undergoing renovations. Very clean and affordable. Great value for the cost and close to several restaurants within short walking distance. All in all I highly recommend this Redroof Inn, especially if your other choice is Memphis. Decided to go with the Red Roof Inn on my vacation due to the relatively decent ratings, and the fact that it was remodeled. It was close by to our destination and would be the best place to stay. As we pulled up it didn't look to promising, but again why not give it the benefit of the doubt. We paid for a room and went to go up and unpack, when we opened the door it was already preoccupied....We go down to tell the lady she assures us it shouldn't be, and changed our room.okay awesome got a vacant room this time. At first appearance it looked like they were trying with the remodel. It wasn't.....terrible the paint job was a little messy and it looked like dirt from somewhere was sprinkled on the bed so we dust it off and unloaded our luggage, double checked to make sure everything was locked; changed from our 12hour drive , and got ready to go out to eat. I lay down for a minute and keep notice dirt reappearing from an unknown source and for the price we paid it should definitely not be this dirty but I thought it is just for a night so what the hell. Get up to go out for dinner and as we are heading down stairs a man asks to see if we have any spare money and unfortunately I don't hold cash on me so I apologized, and as he walked away he started checking to see if the doors were open this was it I was heading the freak out of here; went in to get money back and the owner said that he was a homeless guy she employed and he was supposed to be taking out the garbage in exchange for a room; he wasn't suppose to be asking for money. This alleviated some of the tension and my dumb ass decided to say you know what it's fine I'll stay still just a misunderstanding ok, whatever. Get back from dinner, watch the news to keep an eye on hurricane Irma; everything went fine; fall asleep....to be woken up by our door trying to be slammed open at 11:55pm this wakes me up and I start to panic thinking somebody is trying to rob me. I had my travel companions call the emregency number they gave us to the front desk to let them now someone is trying to break into our room just to find out our phone in our room is not working! So immediately call the front desk using our cell phones; they answer our hearts jumping out of our throats thinking the worst; to have the receptionist apologize for giving someone else access to our room she thought it was vacant. I went straight from scared to furious, how can this happen? Isn't there written documentation of which rooms are available? What if this room didn't have the safety chain on the door anybody could have came in while we were sleeping. A million thoughts bursting with anger due to someone else's negligence. So naturally I brought the issues to the owners attention said it was the best they could do in a bad neighborhood and that was it. read more

The people at this hotel make the place somewhere that i will return to time and time again. In a world filled with hypocrisy and thoughtless, judgmental people who more often than not use people in lieu of things and love things in lieu of people - it was simply refreshing and comforting to have my faith in humanity restored by witnessing the hard working, ethics and the kindness and goodness i saw at work in the owners and employees of Red Roof Inn of Forrest City AR. I commend them both on their soundness of character and integrity, and on their ongoing renovations of this property that was very much neglected and derilict when they took ownership of it. The rooms are CLEAN and the beds are new. The furniture, mini fridge, microwaves, coffee pots, hair dryers, etc in all of the rooms are NEW and if an issue is taken to the front desk or other hotel personnel, then that issue is addressed and any inconvenience that may have been incurred is apologized for. The location is central to restaurants or any shopping in town and the interstae is right beside it. There is big truck parking and they are pet friendly.... all of that at a great rate. I did not want the only review on this site to be something so derogatory to a new business in town that is truly doing a wonderful job. Give the place a go. You wont regret it. I promise. read more
