For location and the cost, that this hotel should be top shelf, with so much more than the basics being offered. Business receptions and other things should be offered, besides just cookies. As it sits between beautiful hotels, bring this to the level it deserves. As a Hilton Honors Gold, was not even offered water on arrival. The AC unit within the room was obnoxiously loud also.

I recommend Always check the A/C Units Dust Collector/Catcher Pads! ‍

As a precaution, I recommend always always Always check the A/C Units Dust Collector/Catcher Pads! I've noticed no matter how many 's an establishment has, NO One, ever seems to take any care in cleaning the air unit system for each room.‍ Stay educated, Stay Healthy, Stay Aware!

For the location it great. Complimentary breakfast was good and staff was friendly. Best price we could find for that "right on beach" location. Room was clean and bed comfortable.

    Bed bugs

I've been staying at Hilton and Hilton properties for a very long time. I've never had an issue. We stayed at this particular hotel one night in late June. The room was clean, staff were friendly. No issues. After leaving I realized I had some bites on my arm. After have them confirmed at a doctors office that they are in fact bed bug bites I contacted the hotel. I called a few times being put on hold and hung up on once. Finally reach the GMs voicemail and let them know what had occurred. I've never heard anything back. It's been 12 days and arm is so itchy and has raised welts on it. I'm so frustrated and praying this doesn't get infected or leave a scar.

One of the bed bugs in my bed, there were also bed bugs in the second bed

Do not stay here unless you're okay with roaches, fleas and bed bugs in multiple rooms. Our first room had roaches in the bathroom, front desk gentleman was apologetic and helped get us into a second room downstairs. We packed our family of four up into two luggage carts and moved to our new room only to finally go to bed and see bed bugs in both beds! Yet again, the front desk gentleman is apologetic and calls his manager while I once again pack up our things onto two luggage carts and head to the front desk area where we meet another couple, sitting down with their things waiting to be moved since their room has fleas. While we were waiting at the front desk I also see a bed bug crawling on my 8 year old's Tshirt which I pulled off her and killed. We were moved to the Hilton Garden Inn, where the Hampton manager, Sandy Beebe gave us a one night voucher to stay and she refunded the cost for our stay. We booked the Hampton for a four night stay; after three packings and unpackings in one day and late into the night, moving to a second hotel, along with throwing away the clothes we were wearing to bed, my son's favorite childhood blanket and two of our personal pillows, we were exhausted. I asked the manager to provide vouchers for the remaining three nights at the Hilton Garden Inn and she refused, saying she would file a claim with insurance to reimburse us for the items we had to toss in the trash which I acknowledged and appreciated. I explained to the manager we would not be able to pay for three nights at the Hilton Garden Inn as it's much more expensive than the Hampton and therefore we would have to find yet another hotel and yet another packing and unpacking of our things. This also cut into most of our first day evening and second day in Florida all while managing my daughter's dance competition schedule. The manager became frustrated, unprofessional, condescending and rude and then got upset even more when I returned the frustration and called her out on her unprofessionalism. She basically accused me of bringing the bed bugs into the room and also denied the roach and flea issues after I saw the roaches and talked to the couple dealing with fleas myself. I wish I had taken a picture of the roaches but I did snap an awesome picture of one of the bed bugs. Which, by the way, Sandy the manager didn't really seem concerned at the fact there were bed bugs in our room and all our things were exposed. The only reason I give this a one star is because I HAVE TO and due to the front desk gentleman at the Hampton who maintained his composure and was authentic in his apologies. I honestly felt bad for him as he was dealing with our bed bug issue as well as the other couples flea issue at the same time. I stay at Hilton hotels multiples times a month for work and pleasure and this by far, was the worst hotel experience I've ever encountered.

BYOP. Bring your own pillow which I'm glad that I did. Not a reason to knock off a star. We absolutely loved it. We had a room on the first floor and had a bunch of beach stuff and was on a beach cart. Your balcony was a direct walk to the beach which was amazing we loved it!

Our stay was good. Beds very comfortable. Showers were clean and had very hot water. The sink drain was very slow draining. The breakfast was amazing! The only complaint was the air conditioning was little difficult to set! Hotel rooms have side views there is only 8 or 10 rooms with gulf front views. Still very nice up-to-date rooms. Will return!

First of all I booked the wrong Hampton Inn, thought it was Destin. But was quite pleased with my mistake. If you are on the 1st floor the ocean is about a 60 second walk. Nice white, clean sand and no sharks The room was clean and nicely laid out. Free HBO and Wi-fi. Small fitness room open from 6 am to midnight. And free breakfast from 6am to 10 am. The front end people were very friendly and made sure I was happy with the room. Overall pleased with the hotel and location.

The hand soap and lotion dispenser was broken and needed to be replaced as well. Unfortunately, the WiFi was slow and only worked in certain areas of our room. The microwave had to be replaced twice because it stopped working initially (it was overheating and something was going on with the breaker) then the staff brought us another one that turned on but didn't warm up the food. So finally the 3rd microwave worked properly. Unfortunately, you do have to pay for breakfast ($18-$20), but if you stay at the Hilton Garden Inn next door, they have free breakfast.

Over all, we would stay here again because of the cleanliness, friendliness of staff, convenience of in house restaurant, food truck, outdoor bars and two pools as an option, and walking distance to four other restaurants and souvenir shops and the location was perfect! Everyone has expectations of their own in how they "think" places to stay should be, but, there again, we were very fortunate to be able to book this place and would stay here again. Cons: 1. Did not know that they would put a hold of 445.00 on our credit card for any other charges 2. Phone in room did not work the whole time we were there and notified staff 3. The only area that appeared updated was the remodeled section, which seemed to be reserved for guests without children and/or guests who did not book through a third-party site. Our room did not have a beach view, despite the overall impression that the property offers that type of experience. The refrigerator barely kept items cold, and the beds were advertised as queens but felt like full-size beds at best. There was also no elevator, which made it difficult to carry multiple bags and a cooler up to our second-floor room. This was especially frustrating when traveling with children. On top of that, there was a parking fee of $17 plus tax per night and a resort fee of $32 plus tax per night. I am honestly not sure what the resort fee was supposed to cover because we did not feel like we received any resort-level amenities or experience. The positives were that the resort is next to the pier, which was convenient, and it was not too far from the Gulfarium. Unfortunately, those positives did not make up for the condition of the room, the motel-like atmosphere, lack of elevator access, or the added fees. I would not stay here again unless major updates and cleanliness improvements are made.
