I have family in Niceville and remember when this hotel was built (before the homes there now impede the bay view). When we walked through the doors, Christy warmly greeted us and was so kind. She ensured we had everything we needed and explained breakfast/the hotel layout. She was so kind. The other front desk workers were great as well. Our room was SPOTLESS. Charli cleaned it prior to our arrival and did excellent. Though we brought an air purifier to block our hall noise, we didn't hear a peep. We noticed several military families stayed at the hotel, but they were all so nice. At breakfast, we appreciated the spread of food options they offer. I can't have gluten and had scrambled eggs/bacon the first day and boiled eggs and Cheerios the second day. My husband enjoyed the waffle iron, especially the s'mores waffles. Though I wish they'd offer more gluten-free options (Udi's muffins are a great start), I realize not everyone can accommodate every food allergy. Overall, we truly had a five-star experience and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will absolutely be back! read more

I cannot recommend staying here currently. It is undergoing a major renovation. The front desk and breakfast area are under construction. The elevator is in the remodeling area. Much of the parking is blocked by dumpsters and storage containers. I expect when this wraps up it will be much much better, but I would avoid staying here during construction read more

I have never been treated so rudely by a hotel associate. We stay at the Hampton Niceville quite often and knew that renovations were being done. We never expected an unusable building with no lobby, no elevator and no breakfast. We were told that we could walk over to the hotel next door (Tru) for breakfast. We were also told that we could stay there but would have to pay the rate of the Hampton, which was more than the rate for the Tru hotel. The receptionist at the Hampton was extremely rude. Easy four stars Hampton. Stayed here scores of times with and without work. Super cliche to say but super nice hospitality here. Super nice. Mostly. In fact, this is the only Hampton that's washed my clothes when I was on TDY for so long. From here to the red woods of California this is the only one's that done that when they don't have a laundry room. Most of them scoff when I tell the tale. lol Just the same, nice as it is, some of the rooms could use some deep cleaning and maintenance. From the wibbly wobbly toilets, slow drains which incidentally isn't so uncommon, and smells, they're getting a touch long in the tooth or letting themselves go a bit. One upside is they're closer to Destin than Eglin. read more

It's ok for a 1 night stop over on the way to wherever. The staff is super friendly & helpful. Little gift bags are given to Honors members, so that's nice. Coffee is available 24 hours and a light breakfast is provided: diy waffles, premade omelettes, muffins/breads, juice, yogurt, oranges... The toaster was "out of order". The room was musty smelling and damp. The carpet was dirty-I had to wipe my feet before getting in bed. The bedding was clean & comfy. The room was sanitized & sealed otherwise. Horrible management (Andy Patel). I reserved 2 rooms (3 nights each) for family to celebrate my daughter's graduation. My father had an emergency which required him to checkout 1 day early. Andy said they would charge an early checkout fee of 1 night stay even for emergencies. I asked if he could transfer that penalty night charge to the other room I had and our guests will stay an extra day. He said "no". I am a loyal Marriott Titanium member and frequently stay all over the world. This was extremely unreasonable. read more

When the guests in the room next to ours were still whooping it up after midnight, I called the front desk to complain. After being reassured that they would take care of it, they didn't quiet down until well after 1 am. Additionally the next morning we tried to grab some breakfast in the cafe, but people were packed in there with no masks and no social distancing. Very irresponsible. So we just left. First and foremost, the staff was very friendly. The room itself was good. Wifi was faster than most hotels I've stayed at. There are power outlets (and powered USB ports) on the nightstand, so you don't have to reach behind the bed or anything like that. There isn't anything interesting within walking distance, but Destin and Eglin AFB/Northwest Florida Regional Airport are both around 20-25 minutes away by car. The only downside was that the hotel didn't have a laundry room. If you're staying here for more than a few days, check out the Magic Kastle laundromat in Niceville- they have a service where you can drop off your laundry in the morning and pick it up later that day (2 small bags of clothes came out to $13 or so, totally worth it if you'd rather spend your free time at the beach). read more

I've been awake the last 90 minutes laying in bed not happy. They lock the thermostat so you cannot adjust to a temperature you prefer. In this case I would like to sleep in a cooler room but you cannot go any lower than 68°. At this temperature, my room is muggy and in my opinion unpleasant. Tried calling the front desk for 15 minutes and nobody answered. Called from my cell phone to the hotel and got redirected to Hilton honors reservations. They tried calling the front desk for 10 minutes and no answer. I finally got dressed at 3 AM. The overnight clerk spent a half hour in my front at this temperature, my room is muggy and in my opinion unpleasant. Tried calling the front desk for 15 minutes and nobody answered. Called from my cell phone to the hotel and got redirected to Hilton honors reservations. They tried calling the front desk for 10 minutes and no answer. I finally got dressed at 3 AM. The overnight clerk spent a half hour in my room trying to unlock the locked thermostat to no avail. I didn't see that the air conditioning would be limited and restricted when I booked the room. This is ridiculous. I'm not asking for it to be 40° in here but just a more pleasant temperature for my liking. read more

Very nice hotel. Safe and comfortable. Way off of I10 but the beach drive through the forests was gorgeous. Friendly staff and good service. Only complaint was that the breakfast staff front desk person was not wearing a mask. I get perturbed at that because the signs on the front door clearly stare masks. read more

I stayed here for 5 days. One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and become a Hilton honors member so you can choose your own room! I was able to get into contact with someone at the front desk just by sending a message through the honors app, and Edward and Karoline replied Instantly. Sadly my toilet got clogged during my stay and the front desk was able to send someone to repair it even when I was out exploring Destin. And it was up and running by the time I got back to my room! If I have one complaint I would say the chair and the rugs in the room need to be shampooed or replaced my feet felt dirty and sticky walking around too much barefoot. Other than that the room was very clean and had a seal on the door so I seen it was cleaned before my arrival. The location was the best. Right on the rocky bayou. No Other main establishments or party houses near by. Very quiet little area for a vacation. Seriously the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The friendliest employees you'll ever encounter. Stayed here the week off 3 June 2018 for business. Felt like I was coming home at night. They greeted us, asked how our day was, have great suggestions on where to eat. One night after work I took a dip in the pool and the front desk girl came out and asked if I wanted wine!!! There's fresh out of the oven cookies starting at 5 pm. Good coffee 24/7. The Continental breakfast changes daily, but there's always cereal, waffles, fresh fruit and yogurt. The rooms are extremely clean and the beds are so comfy that I didn't want to get out of bed. I appreciate the friendliness off the staff and their genuine care about how my day was going. read more

The week before my husband stayed there and she helped him get a room at last minute. 2 weeks later we were back and had to stay at the regency inn bc the Hampton was booked full. The regency was very dirty, and not a place we wanted to stay. We continued to call the Hampton for a cancellation and Kathy took care of us again! Everyone there was super nice and helpful. We are here on our last night, and before I leave, I have to leave a review! The basics: rooms are reasonably priced. Beds are very comfortable. The breakfast provided is absolutely adequate - cereals, various breads and little pastries, grits, oatmeal, fruit, eggs, potatoes, and waffles. My husbands sole complaint was there was no bacon. That said, our first room had no hot water. I really feel bad complaining, but yanno ... Who wants a lukewarm shower? So I called the desk, and the woman was super and kind, and they moved us right over to the too next door. Which we discovered the lock didn't work on. They offered to move us again, but we were on our way out. Came back to the hotel, just went to sleep! Next morning ran out early, didn't come back until after 9pm! We were stopped at the front desk by the same super kind woman who'd dealt with our original lack of hot water, and she offered to move us then, but ... it's our last night, and it locks from the inside so we said no worries! But she still offered us a certificate for a free night! Completely unexpected and lovely. And when we got up to our room, there was a kind note from the assistant manager! So even if the beds weren't super comfortable, I would give them five stars for customer service alone. read more

Modest hotel centrally located between Niceville and Destin via the Mid-Bay bridge. The price is at midpoint relative to the cheaper, less attractive hotels, or Niceville and the expensive resort type hotels of Destin. They offer a complimentary breakfast in the morning and customer service is outstanding. The pool is small, but nice. My one complaint is that the treadmill in the fitness center was out of order during my stay and the additionally the fitness center was really small. Also, while staying at this location, the parking lot seemed to fill up after 7:00pm on certain nights and I had to park on the side street. There are neighboring houses adjacent to the hotel as well. They are nice houses, but they block the view to the water and if you are the 2nd or 3rd floor on the back side of the hotel, you are looking directly into the back yard of the neighbor's house. Overall, for the price, cleanliness, amenities, and closeness to Destin, I give 4/5 stars and definitely would stay here again. read more

My room smells distinctly like they unsuccessfully used Nature's Miracle to clean a pet stain (though it's not a pet friendly hotel, it's a smell pet owners don't forget) - a fetid sweetness stranger than mildew. The premium internet I paid for barely supports video chat to my family, with lots of hiccups and dropouts. Breakfast room doesn't have any fruit like bananas or apples you can grab on your way out to work. I can hear my neighbor's TV. Air conditioner fan won't turn off no matter what, and it's controlled at the wall unit even though there's a useless thermostat on the wall. read more

Just spent a week here on a business trip. This is a pretty standard fare solid Hampton Inn. Clean rooms, decent breakfast selections. Overall good quality. If there is a downside, it is not one of those hotels in the middle of a bunch of walking distance shopping and restaurants; anything is going to be at least a mile away. What sets this place apart is an unbelievable level of customer service. I've been at a lot of places from low-budget overnights to major vacation resorts. The manager and staff (with special kudos to Karolin) here are something extra special. Just as an example, have you ever heard of a hotel manager driving a guest to a store in his own car (no hotel shuttle) to pick up a few things? I sure haven't. Until now. read more

David and the staff bent over backwards to help us troubleshoot the problem and even let us use the lobby tv to make it work. Always clean. Always hospitable. Daily free breakfast. Wednesday nights they offer free food from a local restaurant. Nightly they have fresh baked cookies. im not much on writing reviews.. but when staff works as hard as they do here and goes above and beyond to make a stay an event , someone needs to note it... my wife and i stayed at this hampton inn using it as our jump off location to visit family in the area, we booked the stay thru travelocity and all i can say is this staff went over the top to make our 4 day stay wonderful.. from the staff at the desk to housekeeping and breakfast workers all were friendly , accomidating and caring the facility is under a renovation and even the construction staff were fantastic.. even in the reno the facility is clean and quiet anyone staying in this area should not hesitate to stay here!! great job guys and thanks again....... read more
