The Hendersonville Hampton Inn is a great choice if you are staying in the Hendersonville area. It is the staff that makes this place special and I got to meet and talk with them every morning at breakfast as I was up early. The first morning I met Cathy and she made sure that we had everything we needed at breakfast. They offered omelets or scrambled eggs depending on the day; waffles; oatmeal; cereal; bread; apples and bananas. Then water bottles were available and prepackaged boxes that had a bagel; cream cheese; and a yogurt. I also spoke with Michael at the front desk and was told of all the places I missed visiting on my stay. I have lots of places to visit next time now. The Hampton Inn is sold out for the dates I wanted in August though or I'd be staying there again. My room had a large mini fridge and a microwave. There was also a table on wheels that could be moved to where you wanted. The chair didn't seem adjustable though. The bathroom had a corner counter/sink to maximize the space. Rooms were not serviced during my stay but if fresh towels were needed or trash bags they could be obtained from the front desk.

No complaints whatsoever. After checking reviews I made sure to secure a room away from the elevators. We were on the second floor at the end of the hall. I believe we were in Rm: 232. The room was cute and cozy for two. It was clean and it was ready for our early check in. I called maybe a week before we arrived to see if we could check in early and was told we could. I called again the day before to make sure this was okay. Note: Anytime you make an important call, always get the name of the person you spoke to, write down the time you spoke to this person and the date, and important notes of what was said. I usually put this in 'Notes' in my phone. Anyway, check in was quick and smooth. Breakfast was the usual. I usually just get their eggs, a couple pastries and some cranberry juice. Simple, free and easy. Anyway, I'd stay here again.

Don't go... over priced for what you get.. uncaring front check in staff.. doesn't take legitimate complaints seriously. Just brushed off.

We booked the Silverbell Tree room directly through the Waverly, totaling $595 for two nights. The Waverly charged an additional $17.99 for a booking fee. Unbeknownst to us, there is evidently a "late check-in fee" of $42.70 for checking in after 8 pm. (Our first time EVER to be charged for a late check-in.). We couldn't find record or notification of this charge anywhere, however. Trying to keep a long review short; $655 total for two nights in a semi-clean room that didn't include refreshment of bath towels/cloths or any housekeeping after night one was a bit disappointing. The claw foot bath tub is ok, but feels less than clean. (Showering is kind of gross since the curtains don't leave much room to keep your own rear end off of them, let alone whoever's rear was rubbing on them before.). The bed was great. The breakfast was ok. The coffee was ok. Overall the experience was sub-par compared to other historical venues that have accommodated us. I hope you have better luck than we did or look elsewhere.

It was such a great experience that I would recommend traveling to Hendersonville just to stay at the Elizabeth Leigh and eat at the restaurants on Main St. It's a very relaxing and classy small town. Main St. is a short 10 minute walk from the inn. When I walked into the inn, I was blown away by the elegant antique decor. The pictures online just don't do it justice. I stayed in the Blue Room. It had a large comfortable bed, two chairs, loveseat, wardrobe, and a few other various decor items. All the colors and patterns went together flawlessly. The bathroom was incredible. It had gold and white accents, but still went really well with the blue theme. There were plenty of fresh high quality thick white towels neatly rolled in a basket. The shower had an adjustable head. Water stayed warm the whole time despite showering at the same time as other guests. Breakfast was southern, filling, elegantly served, and tasted amazing. The first breakfast was eggs, bacon, and thick French toast. The next was a cream cheese, berries, and French toast casserole or 'hot dish' depending on where you're from. There was complimentary bottled water, wine, ice cream, homemade white chocolate macadamia cookies, homemade pound cake (which was wonderful), and beer. Now possibly the most enjoyable part, the rest of the property. The inn has a wraparound porch with big white rocking chairs that overlook the yard and the little street in front of the house. The backyard has a fountain, swing in front of a little waterfall pond, and corner area with seating. There are multiple places to have private conversations with your loved one(s). If you get the opportunity, getting to know the owner Cindy and her husband Mike will be the best part of your stay. The inn is an expression of Cindy and her dream to give guests a relaxing, but high quality environment to experience genuine southern hospitality in the gorgeous mountains of western North Carolina.

So I have been staying here a few times a year. Parking is around the perimeter of the hotel and you can use your key to enter from doors near where you park. On my last visit, I got back late from a performance so I appreciated the multiple entry doors and all the lighting in the parking lot as the spots in front were taken. When I arrived, I was given a feather-free room but on the second floor. The room was clean. The walls were on the thin side or the couple next to me were just loud talkers. The tv lineup was good for the little time I was in the room. WIFI was in the good range. A very serious ice/snow storm was forecaster for our area and, as we don't have a generator at our home, we needed to find a hotel on a main road that might not lose power. Due to their reviews and location, we chose to stay at the Fairfield for three days. While power went out at our home for over 25 hours, the power and the internet at the Fairfield remained in place. We had selected a room with a king bed. The room was tastefully decorated with ample sources to charge our electronics. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable. Though, I really think the bathroom was the most remarkable aspect of the suite. The shower is quite large--as is the bathroom itself--and the bathroom mirror has LED lighting, The breakfast (my favorite meal of the day) was outstanding. There were eggs and bacon or sausage, a pancake bar, and a very generous cereal and granola bar. Finally, the staff--including the manager Nick Tarleton--couldn't have been more helpful, friendly, and focused on the cleanliness of the facility. Hunkering down in the hotel (unable to leave because of the storm), we saw them often. A special shout-out to the woman who manages the dining area--she was a delight to encounter each morning. Unfortunately, their pool area was closed due to updates, however, we did go into the gym which contained new equipment and generous options for working out. To summarize, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Fairfield. Very easy access off of I-26, which makes it a great base for seeing the many sites and mountain destinations for which western North Carolina is known.

Dog friendly with outside entry into the rooms which is great for walking your dog. We weren't told that dogs weren't allowed inside the main lobby. Reasonable priced with a weekly rate and $15 a day for a dog. The room was very small and the bathroom was tiny. Carpeting was worn and frayed and exposed the tackless. When we advised the management about this, they gave us another room. The staff was caring and rectified any problem we had. In the second room, the refrigerator stopped working. One call to the front desk and the handyman was there to fix the problem. The housekeeper Maria was wonderful. Rooms were spotless but the rules said you were entitled to only one cleaning a week, which was ridiculous. Jerry was very helpful at the front desk too. The location was very good, right off the highway and close to the beautiful downtown. There is a Mexican restaurant right inside the front lobby. The dog walk area was very well maintained with replacement baggies for dog waste.

Got all the information sent in and back--text indicated I was in cabin 27 and had the code for the door. No problem at all getting into the cabin. Cabin was spotless and the queen bed was very comfortable. The cabin had a small fridge and freezer compartment (so I was able to refreeze my cooler blue ice pack and cool down additional sodas for the next day of traveling) and a nice work desk. The bathroom had plenty of nice towels (lots more than I would use--my wife would have LOVED it). WiFi worked great and I had a much-needed break from the road. I would have liked to have information on some of the trails nearby because I would definitely consider coming back to this area. I would definitely stay here again as long as I was traveling without my dogs. I FaceTimed my wife and she really loved the place--she and her sister may come and stay here depending on what trails and other places are in the vicinity. An added bonus (for me) was that the exit from the highway had a Waffle House so I had a place to get breakfast before getting back on the highway.
