We stayed in a two bed room. The beds were comfortable enough with plenty of pillows. The AC was one of the loudest we've ever had with wall controls. It was definitely noticeable when running. The door had large gaps around the sides and bottom which allowed hall noise to infiltrate the room. Add mildew in the shower, a broken tv stand, and nonfunctional ice machine on our floor and we wondered why we spent so much for the room. Staff were ok. Cathy at breakfast was friendly. However, she ended up apologizing for the lack of items due to a missing shipment. For example, the milk was spoiled and could not easily be replaced. My husband remarked that the parking lot was a bit small for hotel capacity. Anyone pulling a trailer should plan to arrive early or pick another location. read more

The Hendersonville Hampton Inn is a great choice if you are staying in the Hendersonville area. It is the staff that makes this place special and I got to meet and talk with them every morning at breakfast as I was up early. The first morning I met Cathy and she made sure that we had everything we needed at breakfast. They offered omelets or scrambled eggs depending on the day; waffles; oatmeal; cereal; bread; apples and bananas. Then water bottles were available and prepackaged boxes that had a bagel; cream cheese; and a yogurt. I also spoke with Michael at the front desk and was told of all the places I missed visiting on my stay. I have lots of places to visit next time now. The Hampton Inn is sold out for the dates I wanted in August though or I'd be staying there again. My room had a large mini fridge and a microwave. There was also a table on wheels that could be moved to where you wanted. The chair didn't seem adjustable though. The bathroom had a corner counter/sink to maximize the space. Rooms were not serviced during my stay but if fresh towels were needed or trash bags they could be obtained from the front desk. read more

Decent if outdated property, friendly staff, familiar breakfast options. However, the A/C in our rooms was truly inadequate. The A/C never really cooled the rooms and the rooms felt humid for both nights of the stay....the carpet even felt a little damp because of the humidity. This is a typical Hampton Inn. The location is nothing special, but there are not a lot of choices in Hendersonville. If you want a Hilton property, this is your choice. If you like Hampton Inns, this one will feel very familiar--which is a good thing. Operations during the pandemic were good and cleanliness seemed like a high priority. I didn't care for the gentleman, who I perceived to be a manager, pressuring us to agree to forego maid service during our stay to "reduce contact." No complaints whatsoever. After checking reviews I made sure to secure a room away from the elevators. We were on the second floor at the end of the hall. I believe we were in Rm: 232. The room was cute and cozy for two. It was clean and it was ready for our early check in. I called maybe a week before we arrived to see if we could check in early and was told we could. I called again the day before to make sure this was okay. Note: Anytime you make an important call, always get the name of the person you spoke to, write down the time you spoke to this person and the date, and important notes of what was said. I usually put this in 'Notes' in my phone. Anyway, check in was quick and smooth. Breakfast was the usual. I usually just get their eggs, a couple pastries and some cranberry juice. Simple, free and easy. Anyway, I'd stay here again. read more

If I could give this Hampton Inn a zero I would. I had a reservation for a Sat, to arrive and stay for 5 nights. I hurt my ankle and spoke to Brianna, very helpful and she suggested I think about waiting an extra day to come. I then decided to go and arrive on the 17th INSTEAD OF THE 16th. I called THREE TIMES on the 15th to change the arrival date to the 17th and asked for an email confirmation. I received THREE EMAILS CONFIRMING the 16th as the arrival date???? What was the problem. The times I called the people I spoke with couldn't seem to understand changing of an arrival date AND I REPEATED my email address over and over ?? At 6:30 PM I called a 4th time and explained all of this to a man. He told me to get out a pen to write down the confirmation number, snappy manner. I then asked what do you see as the arrival date and he stated, "The 16th." Minus zero for customer service. Of course I was upset after making a FOURTH PHONE CALL TO SIMPLY CHANGE MY ARRIVAL DATE! At this point, I said to cancel it. I'd looked so forward to this getaway. I've always had very positive customer service at Hampton Inns so it was a very shocking experience. Front desk staff was very hostile and condescending due to my friend and I being local and needing a room. My friend experienced a major trauma and did not feel comfortable staying at home so I bit the billet and got us a room two nights in a row. Despite telling us it was against policy, they still booked a room for us but not before snapping at us about it like it was our fault that a loved one died. We just needed a neutral space for her to grieve in and get some much needed rest. We were not loud or disruptive during our stay, we just ate snacks and cried. Local folks need hotel rooms for all different kinds of reasons, from death of a loved on to loss of property due to disaster etc. I hope that the hotel will either reconsider their policy, or at least invest in holding their staff accountable to appropriate communication with guests. If it is against policy, why do you accept the reservation just to be rude when we come to check in?? Regardless, I'll be sticking with air bnbs in the future and not recommending this location to any of my future out of town visitors. Not to mention all the vending machines were broken and the lamp was duct taped to the wall- what are they trying to gate keep here anyway? Good location at US 64 exit of I-26 not far from downtown (no hotels in downtown area). Good Hampton Inn quality and service. Hotel had a remodel a few years ago and now is Au Currant with decor and finishes. Has fitness room, indoor pool and laundry room for your personal clothing. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. When a guest needed to get to the airport for 2 am flight on Christmas Eve and the taxi was a no show, the night maintenance man drove him to the airport himself. I was knocked out by how nice our room was at this hotel! We stayed in a suite that had a sitting area, fridge, microwave, sink, and a bedroom with a separate mirror and dresser nook perfect for makeup and hair. There were at least two dressers and two wardrobes, and the room was the cleanest I have seen in a while. Breakfast was better than average and changed daily. There were eggs, protein, pastries and bread, fruit, waffles, hardboiled eggs, cereal, oatmeal, and smoothies. I was impressed with it as most places just offer packaged things that don't feel fresh. There is coffee available all day. My only disappointment was check in. There were four people trying to check in, one person, and he answered the phone in the middle of checking me in and became distracted, which made things take longer. Room was smaller than other Hampton Inns I have stayed in but that may be an illusion brought on by the tube type TV. The staff is very good and accommodating. We found the king size bed very comfortable. OTOH the stool (no chair) for the work area had a missing caster making it a challenge to use. The stool and no work chair also indicates a smaller size room than a typical Hampton. The breakfast was a first for me in a Hampton in that waffles, French Toast and pancakes were in packages to heat in a microwave. I passed on them and took the fruit and bagels. I also had trouble with the key cards. The second card did not work. When I took them down, the desk clerk gave me two new key cards and again one did not work. Not a big thing but annoying. As we got a very good rate compared to almost twice as much as other Hilton properties just up I-26 in Asheville, we will likely stay here again if visiting the area. read more

Assigned me a room that was not ready/not cleaned, so I lost my king sized bed... They did assign me to another room, but instead of upgrading to a better floor or room, I simply got assigned to a room with a double bed and a horrible, non-existent view. The poor service was mainly surprising because it had been a non-holiday, middle of the week night - so it was pretty quiet. Besides the poor service, however, the bedroom was fine... We checked in on Jan 9th for a three night day at this hotel. That same day we notified them that we were going to check out the 11th instead of the 12th. because bad weather and needed to travel back home. When we checked out our hotel bill was a shock! Our reserve room rate at Senior rate was 115.00 a night not including the taxes. They charge us a 200.00 a night bill for the amount of 400.00 dollars. We talked with a manager named Annette Counce and told us since we left a day early that our stay rate changed and stated that it was all of Corporate Hilton policies. We called Hilton CS number when we got home and they looked into it and they noted they never heard of this. The bed was uncomfortable and the breakfast was subpar with not much variety. We requested housekeeping during stay day at check-in but when we returned to our room housekeeping wasn't even provided. Had to call to get the trash empty and towels provided. This Hampton Inn seems a bit on the older side. I think this particular room may have been a smoking room in the past. My room was quite small for a King + sofabed layout. The coffee maker and coffee supplies were kept on the bathroom sink which doesn't seem sanitary. The room stayed hot. The thermostat said it was 60 degrees which should have been freezing, but it was hot and uncomfortable. The bed was comfortable. The sheets were clean and soft. Oddly, there were no outlets on one half of the room. We had to plug cpaps, phones, etc into the bathroom. Thankfully the nice front desk staff provided an extension cord. I travel every month for work and I thought this was the best option in the area. As a Hilton member, I decided to go with it as it had complimentary breakfast and a fitness center. To my surprise, the so-called fitness center has 5 medicine balls, the heaviest weighing in at 8 pounds. You can't do very many exercises with medicine balls, to begin with. As a female, even 8 pounds is pretty light. I'm not sure how men would even attempt to lift here. I've never been to a hotel gym that doesn't have a full set of dumbells. The complimentary breakfast isn't great either. Everything is greasy. The fruit is clearly old. I'm definitely not pleased and wish I could switch hotels for the rest of the week. Great hotel. This is my second stay here. I arrived in the late evening after a long drive. The front office staff were very nice and accommodating. Check In was very easy and I was in my room in no time. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The room was spotless. I hold out on 5 stars only because the water pressure in the shower was weak and the bathroom lacked an exhaust fan to ventilate the room after a shower. I usually stay at Hilton-affiliate properties (HHonors account) but I had not stayed at a Hampton recently... and not a newer one that has been "cheapened down" to rival HI Express. The room is smaller than earlier Hamptons. The bathroom lacks an exhaust fan. The coffeemaker uses those scary disposable plastic trays for the dollar store coffee maker. The tub/shower surround is simulated plastic tile & creaks in use. The TV was a LodgeNet driven device... to watch TV it said press # or info buttons on the remote: there was no # button & info merely illuminated all buttons RED! After a call to the desk I learned to "push the + channel select until it responds" then it should work to enter channel numbers. Well, sort of... in the next 30 minutes I discovered about 8 channels that it would let me select (next morning, only one). The selections were poor & vanilla offerings... most exciting was the Giants losing to the Colts. Ho-Hum. Perhaps the remote needed batteries changed... or maybe... the whole thing is designed to drive all choices to PPV movies or games! Ya think? I do. Then came breakfast! Hampton Inn... weren't these the guys FAMOUS WAY BACK for FREE BREAKFAST? Well, rest assured SO FAR Hampton Inn has not screwed up coffee, milk, hot chocolate, PB, jelly, cream cheese, cereal, or fruit! One amazing thing was ONE waffle maker that actually produced good waffles... IN 4 minutes with a waiting line of 5 people (as a mom made waffles for dad & 3 kids). Eggs & sausage/bacon you say? WHERE? Oh... in the white bags of frozen mystery breakfast next to the two microwaves. French toast, sausage biscuits, something I could not identify, and something resembling a quesadilla (salsa single serves nearby gave it away). This accounts for the pictures on the bags which also matched FOUR of the SIX PICTURES across the top of the microwave. Left top next to the pictures was a button labeled "ONE 2X"??? Boldly going ahead, I selected French toast and 2 sausage biscuits. PUSHED a BUTTON... any one pushed seemed to make the microwave operate of ONE MINUTE 5 SECONDS... and hoped for the best 3 times. I got passable French toast, two terrible sausage biscuits (biscuits got tossed due to soggy nature). I ultimately had 2 slices of French toast and 2 sausage patties, decent coffee, and a bowl of special K. No eggs, toast, and bacon. No eggs, toast, and sausage. No eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy! OH for the "good old days" now fallen by the wayside! I should also say that the "pastries" on display were all of the "plastic faux pastry" kind found in those 8x10 foil trays in the stores not too ashamed to display them. Should I have paid more elsewhere for a real place serving a real breakfast? Should I have paid less... no that invites serious regrets. AH... best idea is to pay a reasonable price for a FULL-SIZED room and go to Cracker Barrel next time. Neither the front desk clerk nor the manager seemed concerned with my unhappy experience... I mentioned TV and less than expected breakfast. SO MUCH for the "satisfaction guaranteed 100%!" NO WAY you are staying FOR FREE, sucker! I will give them that the Hamptom Inn seems CLEAN... in fact the stick-on inside the elevators BOASTS that the bed linen is clean... each day for each guest. I stayed here while on a quick business trip recently. Lobby was nice and the staff very friendly at the front desk. My real issue was with the fact that I had a non-smoking room and I spent my evening with towels stuffed under my door trying to keep the smoke smell from the hallway from wafting further into my room. All was fine until I awoke to the smell of smoke in my room (cigarette smoke) in the middle of the night. I opened the door to find the smell was coming from the hallway, but no one was smoking in the hallway. The only thing I could assume was that someone was smoking in a nearby room (at 2am, if you can believe that) and the smell was so strong that it was coming into my room. I never called to complain to the front desk because it was the middle of the night and I just wanted to try and rest because I had an early meeting nearby. Needless to say, it was a horrible night's sleep and I'll probably try and find a different hotel chain to use the next time I have a trip in the area. I still wonder if they have smoking rooms that close to non-smoking rooms or if someone was just smoking in a non-smoking room... and why they even have smoking rooms in what is an otherwise pretty nice hotel. read more

Just got in for the night around 11pm. Was about to crawl into bed and found two bugs in the bed. After putting them into a cup and taking them to the front desk they gladly switched our room for us. I hate to be snobby about these things but that wasn't ok. But after getting a new room and looking at a new clean bed, the staff called to make sure it was ok and gave us a free stay. I travel on business frequently and am constantly in and out of hotels. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Hampton Inn in Henderson North Carolina. The Accomodations were standard, meaning the rooms were clean, well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. But, Honestly, what made the stay so pleasurable was the staff, namely Ms. Rose and Ms. Gail. These two ladies run the kitchen area.
