Overall, we had a nice stay. The property appears to be undergoing a pretty major renovation, so there are definitely some areas that are a little rough around the edges right now. I'm not sure when the renovations started or how long they're expected to last, but it looks like they're making improvements throughout the hotel. The lobby could definitely use some attention, so hopefully that's part of the plan as well! The front desk staff was very helpful at check-in, and the breakfast attendant was especially friendly. Breakfast had plenty of options, everything was well stocked, and there were several hot choices. There was also plenty of parking available, even with some of the lot currently being used for renovation dumpsters and shipping containers. All in all, a pleasant stay, and I'd be curious to see the property once all of the renovations are complete. read more

Still in the middle of renovations, so I will give this hotel a little grace. No hand towel yet and no toilet paper holder up yet. The bathroom flood was sticky. The new bathroom shower doors don't stay closed all the way and slide open a little bit, so a lot of water got on the floor. The AC unit was super loud and made it hard to sleep. The breakfast selection was subpar with the normal eggs and ham, but the ham didn't look very cooked. The coffee was also very watery. Lots of room for improvement! We have stayed at Hampton Hotels for years and always enjoy walking into a clean room with fresh Duvet covers. This hotel was no exception. Our room was spotless clean. Overall the hotel had some age that could be seen in the furniture in the breakfast area. But, it was a clean area and the food was good. We'll return if we are in the area again. read more

It shouldn't matter what room I stay in . I should get a Hilton bed. If I wanted a super 8 bed I would have went across the street. After tossing and turning all night I'm awake at 5:40 from the pain in my lower back. These mattresses need to be donated to super 8. Also, the amount of dust in these rooms is insane. I have sprayed so much mineral spray. This should be an embarrassment for Hilton to give one of its members such a disgusting room. I can't tell if I'm speaking from the pain in my back or the sneezing fits my family has had but I'm definitely upset. I wanted to be at the top of my game for my kids today and now I have pain and I'm tired. We stayed on the second floor in one of the double rooms. I'm not coming back to this Hilton and I may revoke my membership at go to comfort suites from now on. read more

The employee at the front desk was incredibly nice and the room's features were nice. It was decently spacious for a Hampton Inn. That said, the cleanliness left much to be desired. Just look at the pictures of our tub - covered in hair and dirt. I definitely expect more during a pandemic. That said, you can use your digital key here (including on the side doors). After many years of staying at Hampton Inns across the U.S., I am officially done with this chain. Our family booked this hotel as a convenient location during the recent Indy 500. After our first day out, we return to our hotel room only to find out that housekeeping only cleans the rooms every other day. We were very disappointed, no fresh towels, no made bed. Nothing. And we reported this to the front desk, this is when we found out we would not receive housekeeping until the next day. In fact, housekeeping left at 1:30pm that day (Saturday). We headed to the Indy race early Sunday morning, only to return at 9:30 to find out once again that housekeeping did NOT clean our room. My wet towel from the shower was still draped across the unmade bed. Oddly enough, our Kleenex tissue box had been used and was completely empty, and a couple new towels had been dropped off. No floor mat either. In addition, the bathroom had no fan . A hot shower quickly turned into a sauna, left with foggy mirrors and hot, soggy And the so-called "comforter" on the bed looked old and thin, probably 10+ years old. Things just did not feel clean at all. I leave you with this: Good luck Hampton Inn in your future endeavors as a hotel chain. For my family, you no longer check the boxes we require for hotel stays. Not even the minimum requirements. Somewhere along the line, Hilton has lost its way with this segment of their business. read more

I stared at this hotel the night before flying out of Indianapolis. I generally stay near the airport but i chose this location because there is a lot of restaurants in this area. I didn't have any issues with the hotel. My only complaint was that it seemed old. Maybe need some updates. I didn't eat breakfast, I went to look and see what options were there and i didn't see anything that looked good. The clerk was very nice, i asked him about a late check out, and he gladly told me that wouldn't be a problem. All in all, no real issues, it just needs updating. read more

My daughter had a gymnastics competition planned in Indianopolis on June 5, as there is no early check-in at the hotel, only at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, I needed my daughter had a rest from the road since the competition was on the evening of June 5th. I booked the hotel in advance on May 19 for 2 days, so that when we arrive from California, I thought we will immediately check into the hotel, 7 am in the morning,because I already reserved for 4th of June. But then a surprise awaited us ((( I was told that since I did not show up and did not check in on June 4, your reservation was canceled and there are no more rooms, but at the same time this rude person at the reception also said you can make a new a reservation for $ 277 per night, which is correspondingly much higher than I had booked before. I am a pregnant woman who flew in with my 7 year old daughter to the competition 10 times explained with a calm tone that I had specially booked a hotel specifically for 2 days in order to check in earlier in morning, for that he told me make a new reservation or he will call the police. Good covid response. Only a couple of guests walked through lobby without masks. Most were respect of the need to wear them. Room had a seal on the door but appeared to be a normal clean process. The room was a King deluxe but basically a king bed with sofa. Appeared clean though mini fridge, not so much. It also appeared to be in need of an update. The bag breakfast included yogurt, a bagel , hard boiled eggs & OJ. Over all based on the covid protocols it was a good stay & would recommend. read more

This place was amazing! I stay at a ton of hotels. And, I don't often walk into the room and say "Whoa! Cool!" The beautiful wooden desk/cabinet was just gorgeous. I'm a stickler for a clean room. I notice ever single detail. (I wouldn't say I'm OCD. But, that's just because I don't like being CALLED OCD. Haha!) But, the cleanliness even met up to my standards. The staff is lovely. The breakfast was fantastic and there's a coffee station right when you walk in. And, the rooms are QUIET!!! So, I could actually make use of that beautiful desk in my room to get work done, undistracted. I highly recommend this place. I'll definitely be back! :) read more

I like how there is a level of comfort and predictability when it comes to Hampton Inns. This one is no exception. Clean, well maintained, and the staff is nice. I've been here twice already and the first time was when they were remodeling their lobby for the breakfast area. The Hampton Inn was a really nice hotel. The hotel is doing its part to keep COVID at bay by offering grab and go breakfast, shutting the pool/hot tub and extra cleaning. The room was a large space, all of the rich wood in the room made the room feel more luxurious and the room seemed clean. The bed was comfortable and the mini fridge and microwave were nice. The entire chain disregards security for its guests and their vehicles. We are smart enough not to leave valuable but hotel security lacking for the entire chain of hotels. Replacing windows is covered by insurance by possessions and people can't be as easily replaced. Again things could have been worse but this chain obviously doesn't spend a dime on security read more

I recently stayed at Hampton Inn Indianapolis-South. I must say that I would have never given Hampton Inn the time of day (for some reason I thought they were more of a Motel - think Days Inn), were it not for a co-worker who had stayed there before recommending the place. I have stayed almost exclusively at Marriott Hotels, and must say I was pleasantly surprised by this Hilton Brand. Location - We were doing work at a plant on the south side of Indy and for us the 10 minute drive to the plant was quite convenient. Plenty of restaurants near the hotel as well as shopping. I forgot my contact lens case and was happy to find Target just down the street. Appearance- Hotel appears to be either newly renovated or new. I was given a spacious room on the 4th floor. Room had a very comfortable king size bed, 32" LCD TV, microwave and mini fridge. A pullout couch was also provided. Decor was nice and updated. Overall a very nice place to spend the night after a long day on my feet in steel toed boots. Amenities - While I didn't have a chance to check them out, the hotel offers a small gym and an indoor pool. A quick glance at both, and they looked clean and presentable. Included in our rate and I assume all rates was a hot breakfast buffet. As mentioned I have been staying almost exclusively at Marriott Properties, and more specifically Residence Inn - I found the food here to be on par, if not better than Marriott. Hot oatmeal, eggs, turkey sausage, fruit, yogurt, make-your-own waffles, bagels, pastries, etc. What I found really impressive are the grab bags at the front desk with fruit and pastries that allow you to grab one and go if you don't have time to eat before starting your day. Overall a great hotel with nice rooms, amenities and very comfortable beds. Would stay here again and I look forward to trying out other Hampton Inns in the future. read more

I would have given this Hampton Inn location 5 stars, but they did not have any MEAT on the breakfast buffet! What's up with that? The lady blamed it on Corporate and said they change up the menu every 5 days. She indicated they would have bacon the next day. Really???! That wouldn't help us out, since we were checking out that day! We pretty much stay at Hampton Inns exclusively these days when we travel for my son's gymnastics meets. There has ALWAYS been meat on the buffet! If you're going to have a "hot" breakfast buffet, you gotta have some meat, folks!!! read more

I hold a lotta fondness for this Hampton Inn, as I've stayed here countless times throughout my life, whenever I've traveled South(mainly most of the time though, on trips coming back from Georgia). My stays here have been pretty consistent in quality, even to this day. Not to mention, it helps that the south Indy suburbs have developed so much from when I first stayed here, as I remember the time when there weren't much options for shopping or eating around here. Of course, it's definitely the opposite case today, with an abundance of options for getting a meal. And score for it being right by the first Texas Roadhouse I ever ate at! read more

As a frequent traveler I dislike surprises after a long day on the road, so I frequent Hilton brands and often Hamptons. This one was very well kept up, the staff super friendly and helpful. Solid service and even though they got slammed with a large group arriving as I did they brought out extra folks and check in went smoothly and quickly. Room was clean, up-to-date and comfortable. This was an emergency stay while in Indianapolis Indiana for a conference. I was relieved at the homey Hospitality starting with the reservationist through the front desk manager who turned out to be a doll of a woman. Our room was small but adequate in fact the location of smaller than most Hampton Inns but the service and Hospitality was as exceptional as expected with quality Hampton Inns. We enjoyed the nice breakfast that was always fresh and hot each morning. Because of our conference schedule we usually missed the weekly evening cookies. I mentioned that to one of the night managers and he was kind enough to save us cookies for when we returned to the hotel. This was just one example of the exceptionally great service we received. The morning office manager what take her time and wrap each bottle of water with an encouraging message daily. What more can you say about great hospitality I find no fault with this Hampton Inn and if I ever venture you to Indianapolis again this Hampton Inn will be my first choice. read more

I was here four days and five nights, for work. The staff was very friendly and laid back. My room was clean, bed was so comfy I did not want to get up and the a/c worked great! The exercise room was clean and cool. Treadmill, stationary bike, elliptical machine, balance ball and free weights. Stayed here for a day/night after driving all night traveling with my family from Florida. I was able to call ahead and worked it out to check in extremely early for the day as we were all exhausted from the drive. We had great service!!! The room was extremely clean and the bed was so comfortable and the price was just right. IMO best bang for your buck. My wife and I kept saying this was by far the best hotel we had stayed at for the $$ during our whole 2 week Florida/DISNEY Vacation. It was just what we needed and we couldn't of been happier! Checked in the night of 11/2, wanted a late checkout like 1:30 instead of 12, as I was going to run a marathon the next day. Did not like the hospitality of the male person behind the desk when I checked in. He was very rude and said everybody is running a marathon and he cannot get me a late checkout the next day. Later next morning when I was checking out, the lady at the desk was very very polite and she said no to late checkout too but in a very polite way. Stayed one night and was impressed. We didn't book ahead of time but the staff at the front desk were polite and helpful and it didn't hurt that we got a great rate. The room was a bit small (king bed with a pull out sofa) but it was fine for one night. The room was very clean, which is what is most important in my book. I also noticed a lot of charging outlets throughout the room which I appreciated after a long car ride and lots of devices to recharge all at once. The kids loved the pool and I loved that there were plenty of clean towels on hand.
