Just checked in and the process was kind of interesting. I was asked for my ID, which was fine and then I was handed my room keys, but was never told my room number and how to get there. O_o. No I am not lost in some hallway of this hotel, but usually the front desk discloses this information. Luckily, it was written on the card sleeve :). Please retrain the front desk staff to not just hand the room card keys without telling the tenant, the room number or where to go. The elevator was kind of rickety. The ceiling panels on the 2nd floor are pretty low. I am 5' 10.5" (nature could not give me the got dang .5") and I found this to be a little claustrophobic and I am not claustrophobic. 7/26 The breakfast was nice. Again, like Ashland's Hampton Inn, it had like a breakfast cup (egg spread with sausage crumbles on bagel type bread), bacon strips, seasoned potatoes with pepper and lime? (it was a different taste for me), banana nut muffins, pastries, and bread. I love the fact that they have a business center hidden in the breakfast area. This was probably the first hotel in the chain of ones I have been to that has a private room for a business center. All the other hotels I was at, people could see easily see what you were doing (not that I am doing anything suspicious...O_o). 7/27 I noticed that in the bathrooms (even yesterday...do not want people to think I go a day without a shower) they have spigots on the walls to hang things. This is a good way they decided to use extra space. They get kudos for that. Not too many other hotels I have been to have hooks to hang things. They rotate breakfast! Today, they had omelette du fromage (cheese omelette..needed to bring back Dexter's Laboratory), turkey sausage links, and Red Skin potatoes (I actually prefer these over the potatoes served yesterday. Lime is too sharp a taste for in the morning!) Oh also, in the rooms there is a coffee maker and they give sugars and creamers BUT no stirrers in these packages. Best to grab some in the breakfast room for however many days of your visit. 7/28 They rotated breakfast again. Biscuits and gravy replaced bacon strips or sausage links and eggs over the last two days. They replaced the breakfast potato option with Yukon Gold Potatoes (kind of a bummer I never thought to actually read the food signs in front of the food until the third day of staying. I could have eaten three different kind of potatoes!). I would state that this hotel is probably one of the top, from the breakfast options they offer. This is compared to ones offered from other hotels I have stayed at across KY. read more

While outdated, this hotel is excellent for the amenities. This hotel uses the old hotel key card system that can easily deactivate your cards - be careful putting them near phones! The rooms are large and have all the amenities you would need. There is a gym with limited equipment. The breakfast in the morning is excellent - simple items but tasty. It is kept really clean as well! Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, and I really appreciate that about this hotel. read more

The important thing for Tesla folks is there is a supercharger here right behind the hotel. This is a typical Hampton Inn like many others I've stayed at. The rooms were nice and we had some of the kids in our room on the pullout bed and the older ones in an adjoining room. Plenty of stuff in the room for showers and all that. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. I don't travel near as much as I used too but this was a great road trip stopping point on our trek to see family for Christmas. read more

Very, very, very nice. I was exhausted from driving and got the last room. The gentleman at the front desk- I swear looked like Chris Stapleton- was very helpful. The room was clean. Although I don't choose to be on the first floor, my room was quiet. I needed to get back in the road in the morning, so I don't have an opinion about breakfast. read more

First you must know this is a "2 star" hotel and I am rating it as such. It is not overly fancy, cheap TV, refrigerator I had to unplug because of noise, kinda of tacky like heavy knock down texture on walls to hide very marginal drywall job, if this bothers you move on. On the other hand if you want nice clean comfortable room with amazing bed and great pillows, and an attached bar and restaurant that is also in my opinion 5 star this place is for you. Oh did I mention all this for under $100. Should mention it is a motel not in anyway a suite. Another plus I love having my van right outside the door. read more

Driving from Florida to Minnesota, we got as far as Kuttawa and decided to overnight. Stayed at this Hampton. It was busy, though they had an extra parking stop for us (I am a Hilton lifetime Diamond member). Check in was a breeze, room was fairly standard, and clean (though the window shade did not work). We went to bed, slept well. Up early, grabbed coffee in the lobby and a couple breakfast sandwiches and hit the road. Overall, a very good stay read more

The property is well kept. Amenities such as the outdoor pool make this a perfect family stop. The rooms were fully modernized (missing only the digital key feature of the newest construction) including USB charging ports everywhere throughout the room. Definitely would stay here again. read more

Reason for a 4 Star at this hotel is their staff! KUDOS to always having smiles, being professional and pleasant! This is a smaller hotel and has recently had upgrades, which was needed. Most of the rooms still need updating pretty bad. While being located right off the interstate it is a smaller 2 story~ yet always clean. Staff also makes sure the cookies and breakfast buffet is very well supplied. The outdoor pool is perfect! Again, thank you for a job well done! KUDOS!!! read more

I stay here for work sometimes, and while it's by no means fancy, it does the trick. The rooms are clean and quiet, which nowadays is saying a lot. There's a computer and printer in a room that looks a little like a repurposed closet (which I actually find cozy and endearing) and the breakfast is free and seems fresh. They offer the little grab bags if you have to dash out the door in a rush. Food nearby leaves a lot to be desired, but there is a phenomenal liquor store right across the parking lot. My advice? Drink enough there and you'll be pleased enough with the nearby Huddle House and Oasis Southwest Grill. After nearly getting caught in a flash flood, finding new ways around and down through the back roads of Mo, and finally reaching Kentucky last night, Mom decided we needed to find a place to crash. When I saw the moniker of Hampton Inn, I pulled in. First, the offer discounts for AAA, AARP and Military discounts. The rate for the room was Excellent and the rooms themselves were AMAZING. Very comfortable, very nicely appointed. And the breakfast in the morning was better than I've seen at any others. If we ever get back to this place, We'll stay here again! read more

This is a pretty basic one suite having small town hotel. It was clean and the staff was really nice. I did think that our room had the stench of old cigarette smoke that had been sort of covered with some other scent though. It wasn't overwhelming but it's definitely noticeable since we normally stay at non-smoking properties. I also didn't see non-smoking signs on the door so they may actually allow that. (Gross but it was only one night and we needed the suite.) Where they really wowed me was breakfast though. So often hotel breakfasts start at 7:30 on weekends which is hell if you're traveling with small, early-rising kids. I went down at roughly 6:30 to check on the situation fully prepared that I might be walking my kids across a snowy parking lot to Huddle House if I didn't want to deal with another hour of whining and found everything was already out! Totally not he hotel's fault but you may want to bring bottle water. The municipal water has so much chlorine that it smells and taste like pool water. read more

Driving 16 hrs from Florida back home from spring break we hit midnight and needed to rest. I read the reviews and wanted to get to a bigger city like Paducah where the hotels had better ratings, but we were so tired we settled here. Total rip off at $140/ night. We walked in a side door with fluorescent lighting and heinous white tile, mausoleum style and saw a frog which freaked all the kids out. Carpet in the hallway is icky brown, super worn and ripped in our super small room. This is NOT vintage, just downright rundown. The largest rooms they have are rooms with two full-size! What a joke. Three of us squeezed into one bed, two in the other, I think we would have gotten better sleep at a wayside sleeping in our car. The ONLY good things I'd say is the sheets were clean and it looks like they've tried to renovate the front desk/dining area. I'd stay away from the hot foods (my boys hated it) and stick to cereal. Typical Hampton and to me that means old school. Hampton's are nice but they are "dated luxury". Older hotels that are kept up. This one had a really nice lobby area. The rooms are ok. Beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are updated. The ac/heater in our room was dying, as it made an unpleasant noise when it was on - we had to turn it off. Fortunately it wasn't too hot or too cold so we survived. Breakfast was awesome. It's an average Hampton Inn. Probably the best option in the area but it's also $120. read more

There's nothing fancy about this Hampton Inn, but it's a great, clean place to stay in the area for a few nights. I've stayed here Labor Day weekend for the past few years when visiting with family to spend some time on the lake. The staff consistently goes above and beyond to be helpful and make their guests comfortable - one year when it was pouring down rain (a very sad situation for lakegoers), the guests were all huddled around the large screen television in the front lobby area, and the staff brought out fresh baked muffins and other goodies. They are also helpful in restaurant and other recommendations. This is a particularly good hotel for kids. Complimentary breakfast is served with waffle makers. Each time we've been there, staff has handed out little things for the kids, such as silly straws. The front lobby area, where breakfast is served, also has a couple of baskets of toys and books to keep them entertained, as well as fresh fruit, lemonade, water, and cookies throughout the day. The outdoor pool is nice and clean, with plenty of seating, tables and umbrellas, as well as pool towels. Other than breakfast, there is no dining service, though there is a Huddle House and a bar and grill in walking distance, as well as a microwave and refrigerator in each room. We got takeout from the bar and grill (menus are found in each room) and ate at the tables in the lobby area, which worked out well. read more

This ended up being one of the best hotels I've ever pulled off the road to stay in without overanalyzing the reviews. Albeit, we were desperate after the moving truck we were driving started beeping and flashing alerts. You may think after four hours waiting on the shoulder of the highway for a tow (finally being told it was going to take another four hours to arrive) anything would look good but we kept limping along in the broken-down truck an extra two miles past the first available hotel just to get to the Hampton Inn and it turned out to be worth it. The staff was friendly and very accommodating, allowing us to stay in our room as long as possible as we waited for a replacement truck. Everything needed for a comfortable stop for those traveling across country. Decent free wifi too. The only omission: no mini-fridge. When I called the Front Desk, they offered to switch us to another room. So if you do care about having a fridge, you should ask ahead. All of the staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful. I stayed here overnight on a long road trip. The room was comfortable and had a nice size fridge. Water was hot when I took a shower and used the sink. The free breakfast here was amazing. There was a lot of variety of options, including things for those who prefer to eat more healthy. And they have free delicious chocolate chip cookies later in the day. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Great value for price. read more
