I called Thursday to confirm our reservation only to be told they did not have us reserved for our King, Smoking room on the river. Once I sent over the email confirmation, the room was magically available. On Friday an hour before check in I received a text that our confirmed room was no longer available. Domalee at the front desk was the only contact we had and she could not have cared less. We checked in to our double queen, smoking room, on the parking lot and the bedding was stained, there was no parking due to boats parked in front spots, and 4 unseemly men working on a vehicle they obviously lived in. This is and drug motel across the street was now our view. We left after 2 hours. The dock looks like it going to collapse, there is an abandoned restaurant on site, totally nasty property that looks and smells nothing like the photos. Just neglected and sad and for $150 a night they should be ashamed ripping people off! read more

The location at the river is lovely. The rooms are clean. (Ignore the ghost ants). The employees are efficient. They have a couple meeting rooms and a sport bar on site. Their complimentary breakfast items were not hot. There is an outdoor pool. We stayed in a king suite which was two large rooms. Both room had a TV. read more

Update to my review of this hotel. After three days of no response to my complaint, I spoke with the hotel manager this morning who told me that they had investigated my complaint and had the room inspected by their pest control service. The report said there were no bed bugs present. She told me she thought she had tried to call me, but I have no record of any calls over the past three days after I had left several messages with staff. I am satisfied except for the lack of communication and acknowledgment of my complaint and concerns. She has agreed to follow up with me within the next 48 hours regarding a suitable resolution. read more

I stayed 3 nights. There is no longer a restaurant on premises. Long stay residents were up all night yelling in a foreign language and milling around with loud music coming from their truck. I could hear them in my room until after 2 am. There is a dock on the riverfront with sign saying for guests only. Each night at dark people showed up with bright lights and nets on the dock. The desk person said it was shrimp fishermen. I wonder if it is a commercial operation? The odor of marijuana smoke was strong at times around my building. Each morning there were beer cans strewn on the lawn. The door to my room did not seal completely and there were minute insects on the flat surfaces in the room when lights were on. On the desk and bedside table for instance. All staff were pleasant helpful and friendly. The bedding was clean with no signs of bed bugs. read more

Was definitely an amazing hotel the view walking out of the room is great! The front desk was super nice. Housekeeping checks if you need anything every morning. The pool was super clean! The only downfall was we went here when the restaurant attached to the hotel was closed for remodeling. There is definitely some good restaurants and bars within walking distance which is nice. Definitely will be staying here when we come back! read more

The photos on the web site sure make it look nice, and to be honest the location on the river is nice, but that is were it ends. I started not feeling well while I was there, a friend suggested I check the Air Condition filters, I did, they were filthy, clearly had no been cleaned in years, then there were the bugs covering the bathroom vanity & desk, I was there for work so using the desk was necessary. I was told they had housekeeping every day, I would have been fine with every couple of days, but as it turned out I had no housekeeping for 8 days, and even when I asked and was told that they would clean it that day, nobody came. Had to ask again the next day before anyone came. But all of the above issues pale in comparison to the billing. I was there on a work rate of $98 per night. According to the manager there was a "glitch" and I was being charged $999.00, and although the manager knew this she choose not to tell me and I found out with a credit alert from Experian. Not the best customer service, she told me it was not their fault and that she corrected it. She did not think I should worry about it, easy for her to say, she is not responsible for my credit card bill, nor does she return this mess of a receipt into her company expense reports. She also mentioned that this must be hard for people who live paycheck to paycheck to deal with? What the heck? What was she implying there? I'm on a business trip and just want a proper receipt and all of the sudden she is making a judgement about me because I don't enjoy being charged $999.00 a night!? Good grief. My advice is go across the Hampton Inn or down the street to the Best Western, but stay far, far away from this hot mess. read more

I stayed Saturday, January 21st, 2017 and it was...Too noisy!! Little children running around, jumping on beds, screaming, laughing, crying, slamming doors, VERY THIN WALLS! Because of a construction project, I had to stay here for a month... I can put up with a little dirt, but this place is like a dump. The grout in the bathroom was gray and sticky and smelled like pee. The carpets musty and the bed spread stained. Spider webs are everywhere. Cockroaches were abundant and I even saw bats living above the soda machine in the hallway. On one particular night, about 2am I was awakened by the sound of a jack hammer. I soon found out that construction was always scheduled after the restaurant/bar closed. I guess they forgot to mention that. I guess I should be thankful that my car was only broken into once. Fortunately the punks stole my GPS so I can't find my way back to this hole. read more

I LOVED this hotel, it may not look like much from outside but the inside is great! Staff was very nice and helpful, restaurant and breakfast were great, the view of the river by the pool is great and you can even fish! Only thing that bugged me was the dirt of the bottom of the pool but everything else was perfect will definitely be staying here again read more

Stayed here in March for five unpleasant nights. Some rooms may have been undergoing refurbishment. I was given a non-smoking room, but it had an adjoining (through the interior double doors) smoking room (how bone-headed is that), so my room smelled like smoke and was musty. In response to my complaint about this, the desk clerk gave me a bottle of cleaner. Meanwhile, the room had an abundant supply of cockroaches. When I complained about this, the desk clerk gave me a can of roach spray (not something I really wanted to breathe). When I asked for an adjustment to my bill due to these circumstances (I showed the manager pictures of the cockroaches), I was told my room rate was already discounted, so no. The pool was out of service, but on the plus side, the view of the river was nice. read more

Convenience and friendly employees make this a great place to stop for the night, but the gorgeous waterfront view is just perfection. Out of the three rooms we rented for a wedding party, all were clean, amply supplied with clean towels, and only one smelled faintly of cigarettes. The rooms seemed a bit old and the color scheme was hideous, but our rooms overlooked the St. John's river. The hotel offers free wifi and the rooms have outlets and USB ports above the nightstand so you can easily plug in your laptop charger or phone. The free continental breakfast (ends at 10am) was passable, but the little dining nook they have overlooks the river and is just beautiful in the morning light. Free coffee in the lobby! read more

The girl at the front desk was very nice..room smelled a little like smoke..the restaurant was a joke..we sat outside while 3 employees played with all the guys that were staying there for work I assume..for 15 minutes not one word was said to us..don't think they even acknowledge us..I know they didn't..at least they got the TV working for them! My fiancé and I needed a good place to stay since we have our 4 month old daughter with us. We would be out of the room for the majority of the day and would really only need to sleep there. I looked this place up and saw the good reviews that it had and decided to book it for 5 nights. When I checked in and got to the room I immediately regretted it. The room smelled bad. It was a mixture of smoke, mildew, and piss. I began to check our sheets on the bed and discovered that those had not been cleaned. After we went down to get clean sheets, my fiancé was changing the bed and discovered several stains on the bed liner. The one that stood out the most was the blood stain. Now, I know that a liner is just an extra layer of protection for the mattress, but I would think that if the sheets were changed every day (obviously not, in our case) then they would for sure see all the disgusting stains on the liner, especially the blood stain. I called the front desk to ask about the cancellation process and the front desk asked what the problem was. I told them we had dirty sheets and they mentioned all the "good reviews" that they had. I think I put them down a little when I proceeded to tell them how disgusting the place was. I ended up only having to pay for one night. We didn't even stay there that one night. But that is fine with me. My infant was not going to stay more than 10 mins in that place. read more

Oh my god. This place is a halfway house for really disgusting people. Hotel was dirty old. I drove thirty miles for what was supposed to be a suite only to find out that the contractor took the keys to the room that was supposed to be freshly remodeled. Tried to switch us to another room upstairs. Took one look at the room through the window and observed the old beat up furnishings note I said through the window I didn't need to enter the room to see just how bad it was.the person in the room next door had all kinds of liqueur bottles open and exposed to all that walked by and his lawn chairs in front of his room and couple that with the fact that the desk person informed me that the police roll through every 30 min that was all I needed to hear for me to get my money back and my family heading out as quickly as We got there. This is a long term stay facility . The kind of place homeless people stay at. Do yourself a favor and for your safety stay far far away from this place. read more

We decided to try something new and try a river resort instead of the beaches. We chose the Quality Inn & Suites Riverfront in Palatka, Fl. We were only staying for a single night. I read some old bad reviews but decided to try it anyway. When checking in, we found the front desk staff very friendly and helpful. On our way to our room we saw many staff members cleaning and painting. Our room looked like a brand new hotel room. New paint, carpet, and new bedding. The bathroom was clean and bright. We booked a smoking room for my wife but there wasn't a bit of smoke smell inside. The view of the river and bridge from our room was great. The pool was clean and next to it was a gorgeous restaurant named Beef O' Brady's which had delicious food at fair prices. We brought our two Yorkies with us. It was their first outing away from home and they had a ball playing in the fresh cut grass in the courtyard by the pool. We will be returning again for a long weekend soon. read more
