Terrible beds. Bed frames sticking out the side of the bed and mattress sagging to the right. 30 seconds in the room and my daughter was badly cut and punctured on the shin by the frame rail. Took hours to suppress the bleeding. Horribly dangerous, needs to be rectified immediately. Reported the injury to Managment and placed a call to corporate, no one called back. Apparently they don't care (seemed like the front desk didn't care as well). Not worth the stay. Other hotels in area better, cleaner and nicer. Still waiting for the call back I was promised next I'll turn the injury over to someone who will take action. read more

For a 2 star hotel this one is alright. 4 stars for what is expected. Everything was pretty clean and beds were comfortable. AC worked. The only weird thing was that they didn't have house keeping in the evening and my son threw up and we had to just clean it up ourselves and put a towel over it. We were fine cleaning it up but the lady had no interest in keeping the carpet from getting gross. Surely they need to have something to soak up and treat areas like that until housekeeping gets there. read more

Front desk person was nice. Hotel room - holes in the wall, dirty carpet. Bathroom - no soap at sink, bottle empty.

Really poor experience and will choose a different location next time in town. Very difficult getting help from the front desk employee, Dyaonna. We had two separate reservations for consecutive one night stays. Requested a room we could keep to avoid checking out and re checking in. This was impossible for Dyaonna to help us with. The room we originally had we could not keep for two consecutive nights. So we moved to another room and was insured it was "taken care of." It was in deed not taken care of. The housekeepers had no idea we were keeping the room for two consecutive nights. Other negatives: rooms are not very quiet. Pool is closed and has been for a very long time according to locals. TV remote did not work with the tv in the room. Replacement remote didn't work as well. Not many positives to take away except free water bottles on arrival. Easily accessible from I-20 but not noisy & just across the street from a Wal-mart & a shopping center full of restaurants--& a Cracker Barrel next door! Hotel was clean & served a typical Hilton breakfast. Staff were friendly, kind, & welcoming. Perfect for our 6-lady reunion! read more

For a Hilton property, I was beyond disappointed especially as a gold member. This property is in dire need of a refresh/remodel. I've stayed at Motel 6 properties nicer than this. My room was facing the main highway(opposite) of the Walmart so all I heard was constant Highway traffic. I can't imagine the Walmart side being that much better with all the big rigs idling in the parking lot of Walmart. Needless to say it was noisy. -The room was dark and dilapidated -Sink drain was clogged and water was slow to drain. -Water was lukewarm at best for the shower -Shower faucet fixture was broken -One of the towels had what appeared to be rust or make up stains -HVAC had parts laying underneath it -Closet door latch was broken and held with duct tape If my work trip was for more than 2 nights I would have insisted on changing rooms or properties. Unless you have to stay in Pell City, I'd stay in Birmingham or Oxford. read more

Very disappointed. It's the middle of July. The hotel advertised pictures of a beautiful, clean, outdoor pool with no statement or note stating that the pool was out of order. My 4 year old was very disappointed. Advertising one thing and then driving 5 hours to the reality being something different is very frustrating and misleading. Would not stay again. The Hampton Inn in Leeds is MUCH better. read more

Quite standard for a Hampton and I know Hamptons as not only am I a Diamond with the HiltonHonors program, but I stayed in a different Hampton the night before (Monticello AR), the night after (Arlington VA) and the whole week after (Grand Rapids MI and Marshall MI). Our double room was clean and comfortable and pretty quiet. It overlooked the pool and the highway but there was no noise from either. A few slammed doors from the hallway but that ended at around 10pm. We were up and out early so did not have any morning noise. Parking was okay - the loop around the back was easy for our Uhaul truck with trailer and another one pulled in behind us later. I guess we weren't the earliest as the scrambled eggs were not yet refreshed and nor was the pot roast hash. Still, we made do and got coffee to go. Very convenient to I-20 east of Birmingham on the way towards Atlanta. There are restaurants and a Walmart within walking distance. [Review 11165 overall, 939 of 2019.] read more

Great Hotel

This was a very disappointing stay. We checked in on Saturday, August 26, 2023. Upon entering the room we found out there was not any soap. We asked housekeeping for soap and they told us they had none in the whole hotel. Next we found the clock did not work properly. You could not see the numbers on the face of the clock. Also, the message light was blinking, even though we did not have any messages. It Blinked at us all night long. There also was no hairdryer in the room and we ask housekeeping for one. They said they would bring one up it never arrived. In the bathroom, the wires to the light above the sink were exposed. Also the tv changer had a greasy substance leaking from it. I had to take it apart to clean it. I think the most disturbing is after we checked out my bill was correct. Then when we looked at our credit card statement on Monday it had posted a $50 incidental fee. When I called they said that was to cover anything that we might've done to the room and that it would be given back in 6 to 10 days if everything was OK. To me this is totally unacceptable. All in all I would not recommend this hotel for anyone. read more

The hotel is in need of maintenance. The tub was clogged so when you ran the water for a shower the tub filled up in seconds. The sink had a leak and water ran out to the floor. The room rate for the quality and service level were not worth it. I told the front desk about these items and the response was "ok". I am a loyal Hilton member but this was disappointing. read more

Second Hampton I've stayed in this week and I might be a loyal customer now! I loved this Hampton and I'm glad we chose to stay here. The rooms were fresh and clean. Breakfast was good! We stay here every time we drive from Oklahoma to Georgia! You really can't have a better experience in a family friendly hotel! We got our room for under $100 with our AAA discount. The check in agent went out of her way to look up my Hilton Honors number to apply it to our room....really, we couldn't ask for more. Great staff, clean rooms, cozy beds, wonderful pool area. Great stay for 5 nights. Despite the 1 star review, we elected to stay here based on our usual experience with Hilton brand. The staff was VERY friendly, room was clean, COMFY bed, quiet. We used the fitness room and the laundry. Coffee, water, cookies available. Did NOT smell smoke. Cracker Barrell walking distance. Be sure to try Daylight Donuts just down the street. Much better than Dunkin donuts!! If you want to treat yourself to a really good catfish and shrimp dinner, go one exit towards Atlanta, left, try The Ark. Not fancy, but service and food are great. We would absolutely stay here again. read more
