She was able to turn it off (false alarm) and let us know it was a false alarm as she was going down the hall to do something else related to it. Room was clean and I like to sleep In a cool room. A/C definitely got it cool. Bed was ok. Not hard but not soft either. Shower was warm and decent pressure and you can adjust the shower head for a concentrated stream. Breakfast was ok. Eggs look like instant eggs and were a little runny. Potatoes and gravy were ok but not great. Plenty of other options like scones, waffle station, fruit, yogurt and bagels. Juice was a little watery. Would stay here again if needed.

The luggage carts were readily available at the front door so we quickly loaded our necessary items and checked in. Check in was quick and efficient after the receptionist finished speaking to her friend. Once in the room, we quickly changed into warmer clothes and walked to Cracker Barrel behind the hotel. As we walked out the door, we saw that the peep hole had been covered with a napkin and bandaid! Back from dinner and in for the night, my husband 'stole' the remote and channel surfaced most of the night. I continued to work on my computer/paperwork. Upon a good stopping point, I loaded everything back into the back pack that was sitting atop the pull out couch. While putting my things away, I saw hair in the couch pillows and several spots of something white on the arm rest and seat cushions of the couch. The AC WORKED TOO WELL! I was under 4 (yes four) blankets, in my Jammie's, and my feet tucked under my husband.... STILL freezing! The pillows may as well have been called napkins... they were as flat as pocket square and not much bigger! Definitely NOT a good night's sleep! While brushing my teeth this morning, I looked up at the ceiling and noticed the black mold/mildew all around exhaust fan. Then I closed the door to used the restroom and noticed the hair on the floor behind the door and the mildew on the grout around the base of the tub. Both only is that disgusting, it's unsanitary! The last thing I took issue with is that this hotel DI NOT have the option of late check out. There couldn't have been more than 15-20 occupied rooms on Sunday evening and I'm sure no influx is reservations on a Monday afternoon. More than likely won't be patronizing this location again.

I was charged $200 more than my confirmed total rate and that is a large difference. If another Marriott accepts my discount then this owner should as well and to inform me at check in doesn't allow me time to cancel my reservation and not be charged 1 night room rate for it being after the deadline to cancel and the discount should have not been available for booking. I stayed at this hotel anyway because I was afraid they would charge me for the room anyway due to the cancellation policy. There's no way I could trust the employee when she said they would not charge me if I went to another hotel, after the way I'm being treated about my rate. I Never have had a problem from a property that is participating in the discounts refuse a confirmed room rate at check in. I was told by the employee that the Owner, (the Management) doesn't care and can choose to change the rate anytime before check in even if I have a confirmation of a lower rate.
