We have stayed here a few times to visit family that lives near by. This mother's day weekend we had the kids swim , which the pool area was really dirty this time. After there was only Luke warm water for showers in the AM there was zero hot water. After 10:30 we had to all take cold showers as the issue had not been fixed. We spoke to the manager and ask for a discount she did nothing and said it was to difficult to do. I have called and emailed still nothing. So we won't be staying here again. Also we missed the commentary breakfast having waited to long to shower. No one wants a cold shower when its cold out. Disappointed. The entire place was dirtier than normal. read more

The staff of this hotel are the most competent and friendly I have ever encountered at any hotel. Wonderful. The location is very convenient and close to everything. If you travel with a dog, like we did, this hotel is excellent. Plenty of grass outside for walking your dog. Behind the hotel is a series of peaceful roads for walking or jogging. read more

FIRE ALARM went off when we were sleeping. Had to evacuate via the stairs, which would be difficult for a person in a wheelchair. Outside there are 15 different type of firetrucks and rescue vehicles. For about 20 minutes most of the people who evacuated were standing in the shade under the covering by the front doors until somebody asked them to move further away from the building. Someone left their dog in their hotel room because the person was at the hotel breakfast buffet and they wouldn't let them go back and get the dog so I'm sure after all those alarms, going off in the hallways and in your room, that dog will probably have PTSD. They're still in the middle of the rescue. No one from the hotel giving any direction. It was Sunday August 4, 2024, about 8:00 am morning and the hotel was full. UPDATE: Hotel washing machine caught on fire, lack of maintenance, just like the rest of the hotel. The hotel is not clean. The shower has pink slime mold and black mold in the shower, bring your shower shoes or cleaning tools. The shower doors are difficult to move. The bathroom door is not aligned properly and is hard to open and close. read more

The pool was smaller than I thought, but was perfect for our three kids.  They had a blast!  Also, the fitness center looked small, but had both cardio and weight options. Heads up, they don't have a generator, so when the power went out, we were out of luck.  (They said that the last time there was a power outage was in 2015, so at least it doesn't seem to happen too often). Super thankful for the kind staff you gave us a refund and helped us out by finding us some flashlights to use and waters to drink.  Mike was a great; we felt taken care of and appreciated. Next time we take a mini vacation to Rochester, we will definitely stay here.  I'm dying to try their hot breakfast buffet, which is available daily and included with your stay.  (Plus it's only 15 minutes from the arena and 4 minutes from my beloved UNOs). read more

During a November business trip, I spent one night at this Hampton Inn. The front desk was friendly and fast during the check-in and check-out process. My room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff kept it clean and neat. Also appreciate the To-Go bag with a bottle of water and breakfast snacks. read more

The beds here are not hard as a rock like other Hampton Inns I've been too, which is a huge plus! First night, the hot tub was barely lukewarm. Next day, it was fixed. Short visit to ROC city but the Hotel staff was very pleasant. They pointed us in the right direction to find some necessary shopping and dinner. Breakfast was breakfast, nothing to really talk about, standard buffet style scrambled eggs and bacon - no potato though. read more

This place is tired, outdated, unclean. They don't care. Complete lack of eye contact at check in, lack of room cleaning unless requested. This brand caters to the business traveler - yet their business center wasn't working - internet was not reliable - resulting in 2 missed meetings and I had to drive to the library to print something. (I know they had a printer in their office they could have let me use...jerks.) Loud and malfunctioning climate control. Slim pickings in this area - but worth going a little further away for better quality. read more

Parking was good. Desk staff was nice and helpful. Room was in need of an update; they only provide housekeeping every other day and the room just seemed to be dirty....not just messy. The bathroom and shower were worn and depressing. The worst part was that the breakfast buffet kept running out of coffee and other important things, such as waffle batter, yogurt, eggs....and no one bothered to resupply the buffet. And this was early...like 8:30 AM. We had to knock on the kitchen door to get someone to come out and help us. I would not recommend this motel. read more

I'm just gonna give two stars We checked in on Thursday night and we are staying over the weekend till Monday morning the next day the room was not cleaned I called the front desk and the guy he was very nasty you didn't approach me the right way and I will not recommend this hotel to nobody the rest of the stuff a perfectly professional but I got one person it's always one person in the world be though to annoy you with the commas it was very negative and no I don't like the way you talk to me he doesn't know how to treat a customer service and you should not working the front desk OK that's my opinion and I will never stay here again read more

As compared to the Hampton Inn that I normally stay at which is in Penfield this is an older location by design. When you first walk in the lobby area smells of chlorine from the pool area. The room that I stayed in needs a complete modern makeover. The bed was very uncomfortable. Most hotel mattresses use foam instead of springs this bed I could feel the springs coming through the mattress which made it a very uncomfortable 4 nights sleep. The heating unit in the room was very loud. It made a rattling noise every time it kicked on. Night 1 when I checked the sheets on the bed, the comforter had blood in it. We has to go to the front desk to request new bedding which we changed ourselves that night. The bathroom wasn't really cleaned. There was still hair on the sink and a stained bath towel. I get we just came out of a pandemic however, we never got our room cleaned by house keeping. As much as we paid for 4 days our room should have been taken care of daily instead of us having to request our room to be cleaned 24 hours ahead. Next time it's safe to say, I will pay the price to stay in Penfield. You get what you pay for... read more

Last week my friends and I visited this hotel for a fun little sleepover/trip for us. The room was very nice and clean when we got there and everything was seemingly going smoothly. We visited the pool/hot tub multiple times and had lots of fun. Now as we get to our last night staying there, we went to the pool to hangout there one last time when we notice a couple, husband and wife, coke back from dairy queen to sit on the patio outside of the pool. While they were sitting there we noticed them taking pictures of us? and after a few minutes the wife walked in the pool with a phone camera facing us and she continued to walk all the way around the pool, grabbed one of my friends towels? and put it back on the towel rack. We were beginning to get a little sketched out because of this and later we had noticed every 20-30 seconds the husband outside had been moving to look at us and at one point he stood up and walked towards the window to watch us. We were extremely uncomfortable considering we are all very young and some of us are minors. We got the front desk lady and she confronted him and it went downhill from there. This man was screaming at me, a 16 year old girl, calling me a "stupid little bitch" and much more. this screaming went on all the way into the lobby and I was forced to apologize for calling his haircut bad, but he didn't have to apologize for calling me a bitch? He threatened to call the cops multiple times and the hotel did absolutely nothing about this situation. And if some of you aren't aware, Fairfield Inn's are owned by Marriott, a hotel company known for human sex trafficking. And I believe this man and his wife had very bad intentions towards me and my friends, and considering how badly he reacted.. he was doing something wrong and he was mad he got caught. This stay made me so uncomfortable and scared and I will NEVER be back. This whole situation was completely unacceptable and he and his wife should've been asked to leave the hotel. Another complaint I have was the food/breakfast buffet. I ate 2 full plates of that food because it was sooooo good. But later I would regret that. Me and all my friends got food poisoning and were sick for the next 4 days after this. I am extremely disappointed with this hotel stay and I could keep going on and on about what this man and his wife did. But i'll leave it at that. I went on a business trip to the Rochester/Webster area for a customer visit and I was placed here by my company's travel agency. I had never stayed at a Hampton Inn before, so i had no idea what to expect. I was rewarded with a spectacular level of customer service and a a GREAT room! I attached images of the hotel and the room I was in to give you an idea of what the rooms look like. The room had free coffee and tea with coffee maker, a plasma TV, a couch, a comfy chair, lap desk for my laptop, nice huge closet , a huge bed, superb bathroom shower and plenty of room. They offer FREE hot breakfast buffet, cereal, coffee, tea, yogurt, granola, fruits, bagels, sweets, waffle makers (with premade waffle mix) multiple juices and MUCH more! Warning, sometimes the eggs are kind of bland, but everything else was really tasty! They had a pool, jacuzzi, gym and they also offer FREE toiletries! So if you forgot your razor, toothpaste, tooth brush and so an, never fear! Just ask the front desk and they shall provide for FREE! There is also a little "vanity kit" in the room with a nail file, qtips and cotton balls in it. There are paper bags on the front desk for you to take if you are in a rush in the morning for free that have muffins etc in them so you can have a quick breakfast on the go!! The also have a business office where you can do work or print anything you need, also for FREE! There is also free wireless Internet in your room or wherever you decide to roam within the hotels borders! The Hampton Inns are my FAVORITE hotel now forever, or well until they start to go downhill at any rate! WHOO HOOO! read more

The hotel was probably the worst Hampton Inn we have stayed. Mold had accumulated in the corners of the shower, and dead flys were laying on our window seal. This all comes from the lack of cleaning. We were planning a long trip the next day and needed to leave by 6:00 am. They were suppose to serve breakfast at 6:00 am. Not so! We waited another 10-15 min(s) and it became apparent breakfast was not going to be available. The desk clerk did not seem surprised or concerned that breakfast was not available at 6:00 am. She assured us it would eventually be ready. We left and headed down the road. We have stayed at worse hotels, but this hotel did not meet Hilton or Hampton Inn's standards. read more

I have been staying at this hotel every week for work for about a year. Minus vacations when I'm not here. Honestly, it made me fall in love with hampton inn.. The staff: Top notch, they care, they welcome me like I just got home... The cookies help :-) I try To always get a suite, it is spacious and love having the sink outside of the bathroom. Everything is always super clean and comfortable. They give me the company corporate rate which makes it very affordable :) Tea, coffee, hot chocolate all day anytime... I stayed at this Hampton for the first time on my most recent trip to Rochester. I was not sure to expect, but there was a previous review here that indicated that it was okay, and since my other alternative was with another brand that had been poorly rated, I gave it a shot. Check-in was seamless and easy - what I would expect at a Hilton brand for a HHonors member. They placed me on the top floor at the end of the hall away from everyone to give me privacy and quiet. That was wonderful. The room was clean, odorless, and the temperature was easy to adjust to my comfort level. From a service standpoint, the fill-in night manager was great. We spoke each night at least once, and anything I needed he took care of. I had on-time wake up calls each morning, without fail. Fantastic. My one service issue was the night of check-in. I called down because there were no towels in the pool area, and the front desk said they would have someone bring some to the pool. After 2 hours, there were no fresh towels at the pool. Thankfully I brought one from my room. One nice thing the Hampton Inns sport is a free breakfast. While I did not partake, there were options. Unfortunately, the fruit (one of my favorite items) looked wilted and not fresh. I've seen fruit out of a can that was fresher looking. The hot items were a better bet, and they had some combination of eggs, meat, and carb (biscuit or hashbrowns) each of the mornings I was there. I don't want to sound too disparaging, I was mostly disappointed over the fruit. Overall, it was a great stay. I've stayed at a few hotels in the area across several business trips, and the Hampton is definitely up there in the top 3. I will stay here again on a future trip, I'm sure. read more

We stay here several times a year when visiting my wife's family. They have always been very friendly and accommodating especially when my wife arrives before me and checks in. When we have requested extra pillow on the reservation for my wife they have always been in the room ready to go. The rooms have been clean and maintained well. read more

Excellent service at this hotel. The rooms are your average hotel rooms- nice and clean and white, though a little chilly with the AC blasting. They ignored their own towel rules, which makes me sad because they're wasting a ton of water. But service at the desk is great and there is coffee 24/7. Breakfast has a ton of options from cereal to parties to eggs and bacon. There were a ton of kids here the same weekend as us, so we didn't get to the pool until the all left at almost closing time. The pool manager happily let us stay so we could enjoy the pool in peace and quiet. Definitely our go to choice in Webster the next time we need a hotel here. read more

I stayed here while on business. Overall it was a pleasurable experience. The bed was comfortable, the linens were crisp, and the staff was very accommodating. They have a free happy hour down in the lounge area next to the lobby. Plus from what I have been told (I am not a morning person) they have complimentary breakfast in the morning in the same area. read more

I love almost everything about this hotel. The beds are comfortable, rooms clean and modern, staff super nice, indoor pool, great price and location. My only gripe is that there are no real glasses available in the room or in the lobby. It stinks having to drink a glass of wine or a cocktail in a paper cup. Penny wise and pound foolish. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the updated decor and appearance of the hotel. It looked better than several upscale hotels I've been in lately. Simply moving the bed to a different wall, gave the room a fresh/upscale look. Having the ability to reach from the bed to the thermostat without getting up, was extremely appreciated. I'll be back! I hope other Hampton Inns are as nice as this one. read more

This could be the worst Hampton that I have every stayed at every. (I.E. no breakfast bar, pool closed, hot tub closed, workout room closed. Ice machine on my floor out of order? no daily room cleaning ! If you want fresh towels come down to the front desk and get them yourself. ) I would expect so much more from a hampton). Some of the staff are rude (ie i tried to take a extra snack page to my room for the spouse and was told if she wanted one she would have to come and get it herself.) This was the first day! second day I came down from the room at 6:00 looking for coffee! not ready ! ( you have all night to make a pot of coffee!) So I ask the staff how is the coffee coming. Be ready in five minutes. In the mean time he is talking to another hotel working about the days news! (still no coffee) (Five minutes later no coffee) in short, 20 minutes later still no coffee! So, when another hotel guest comes down looking for coffee he decides to make some! So, In short, it is now 6:30 Am when the coffee shows up.. But at this time I have already left for Mc Donalds for coffee. not sure what will happen on the third day. read more

My extended family stayed at the Hampton Inn Rochester-Webster for a funeral. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained, and the breakfast was excellent. But what gets 5 stars is the service. The staff at the Hampton inn went above and beyond to accommodate my family during a very trying time. With so many stressors, having a pleasant hotel to serve as "home base" was a godsend. While this hotel is very nice and has a good, free breakfast, I am astounded by the different rates it charges its guests. We reserved a block of rooms for friends and family for a nearby wedding, assuming this would get everyone that booked a cheaper rate. Far from the truth! They charged MORE than someone walking in the door that same night(s)! Others that stayed here but weren't in our block of rooms paid far less! So my advice is, go somewhere else if you're in our situation. Don't get ripped off at this hotel! read more

It's your typical business travelers hotel. Large functional rooms are well enough appointed for a stay of a week or less. The rooms are clean as is the whole hotel. The staff is polite and the shuttle van is nice and cordial to bringing you to local places. The rooms amenities are average though. It cheap. The free keg beer after 5pm is a nice touch though perhaps getting something a little better than Miller light and solo cups would be nice. The free breakfast is exactly what you think it should be, free and subpar. Best bet is to stick to bagel or toast ect. My biggest complaint is the dang tiny tiny mini coffee and juice cups that are good for a single sip. Thy need to change this for sure! read more

My family just stayed at this Hampton Inn over Christmas. We were very happy with our stay. We had adjoining rooms which gave us plenty of room to spread out. I agree with other posts that the staff is friendly and very helpful. My kids love the waffles that you can make for breakfast and the swimming pool. The breakfast area/lobby even served as my extended family's meeting place for appetizers after the Christmas Eve service we went to. It was very nice. read more

We had the room block for our wedding here and also stayed ourselves after the reception. They were very helpful and accommodating with the shuttles to and from Eagle Vale. Also, their continental breakfast in the morning was much more than we expected. Emilie was a pleasure to work with setting everything up. They handled our welcome bags for our guests and everyone was very happy with their stay. read more
