Oooof. Where do I begin. This is a budget motel, I get it. It's the kind of place where the TV in the lobby is probably stuck in either A&E Network or TNT. You know, it's fine. But not great. However, even for a budget motel, this is pretty rough and desperately in need of updating. Paint peeling, doors that somehow got wet and warped that they no longer close properly. Clean towels, but they still have visible stains. When I asked for extra towels one day, they said they were out. All they had was hand towels. Internet was available, but was so slow it wasn't usable even for email. At least that was included. There's more, but I won't get into it. The nights I was there there was some sort of power failure, so none of the keys worked and they had to be reprogrammed at each door. The staff did a great job under the circumstances, but this sort of place doesn't really inspire great customer service. Any one of these, or even a few of them - I would have given a pass. I stayed here for two nights at this Super 8 hotel in Webster New York. Super 8 hotel's brand has been good to me over the last several years when I traveled within the US. So it was a good choice to stay here in western New York. The Super 8 hotel brand has been good investment for those people who are on the road constantly, so I needed a place to stay at an affordable price. It was comforting to know that the Super 8 hotel brand is known for being just that, and definitely a place where you know you can trust. After checking out photos from yelp and hotels.com, I priced checked it and decided to stay here for 2 nights. It was better than the Holiday Inn Express, which was 1/2 mile from where I needed to be for the weekend spent in Webster. It was cheaper, although I was about 5 miles away. Still okay though. I found this place on hotels.com. It was one of the few hotel properties in the area that was around $65/night, so I booked it. Upon arrival, this Super 8 has seen better days, but it was adequate for what I needed. Only thing about this location is that I didn't see any elevator on site and they assigned me a room on the 2nd floor. Let me tell you, walking up a flight of stairs after finishing a 26.2 mile foot race earlier in the day is somewhat challenging! But it had to be done and done well. This Super 8 location didn't seem to have air conditioning. The overall experience here at this Super 8 location in Webster, NY was adequate, comfortable, and suited my needs. I booked a two bed type room and the room I acquired was generally clean and comfortable. It felt quite cozy and the ambiance was nice. I knew they have WiFi connectivity here, but didn't use it during my stay. Everything worked, including the television and the shower. Bed was comfortable and got in a good 7 1/2 hours both nights during my stay. The check in and out service was good and fast. I didn't get to participate in the complimentary breakfast, since I had obligations in the area on one morning and a 6am flight the next. Wish I did stick around for breakfast though. Super 8 tends to have pretty good breakfasts, even though it can be just cereal, juices, and some breakfast pastries. Complimentary is often a good thing these days! For the most part though, budget friendly hotels are the way to go and Super 8 leads the way by doing just that. Providing safe and comfortable hotel accommodations at an budget friendly prices makes me smile. It might not be the best hotel in the area, but if you are a budget conscious traveler, it was the better choice for my $$$. If you're in the area and need a place, consider this Super 8 hotel in Webster, NY. This Super 8 hotel is located at 2450 Empire Blvd in Webster, NY. They accept major credit cards upon check in, as well as asking for identification and your vehicle information. They have a private parking lot for most people who drive through the area. According to Google Maps, public transportation from ROC airport would take 5 hours to this hotel. Yikes!! Not sure if the hotel itself provides airport shuttle services though. Best bet would be to rent a car to save time, unless you have a lot of it on your vacation to Rochester / Webster. Uber and Lyft can be an option too. Can't complain really. Comfortable stay at an affordable price. That's what Super 8 hotels are known for. Check them out, if you are headed there for work or vacation. In my case, it's a little of both. 26.2 miles on foot is work! This is a very good value motel outside of Rochester. I have been there on two occasions, and I have found a quiet room with a nice staff. The rooms are well kept and clean. The beds were decent, but not the best. Most of the guests were family-style guests from out-of-state as opposed to the locals needing a "no-tell" motel. Stayed here over night and it wasn't a bad experience the motel is currently under renovation and the building was super clean I am a person who thrives off customer service and the receptionist was bomb !! Theresa made us feel at home very pleasant to speak to super friendly and a very hard worker she was managing the whole building on her own with a smile on her face. The hotel is in bad need of renovation. Especially the plumbing. The toilet was stopped up when we got our room, and even after "clearing" it it would stop back up immediately. Also loved the unviable grab and go breakfast that didn't exist. This was my second worst stay at a super 8 and I would gladly pay an extra 50-100 a night not to stay at it again. read more

Webster is a really nice neighborhood so i was surprised to encounter such a run down and dated hotel. I booked a non smoking room, i checked in, and noticed the dated lobby with no elevator. The stale smell of cigarette smoke hit me half way up the stairs. While walking down the hallway to my room the overpowering stench or marijuana took over my sinuses and walked faster to my room. I was set on calling it to the lobbies attention, until i open the door to my room and realized i had made a HUGE mistake. This room looked like the set of a 1970's porn movie. The sink drain was cracked and stained, the bed quilt had a brown patterned quilt that i couldn't tell if they were bugs buy the camouflage bedding. Hotel beds should be all white with no stains. I DID NOT see any bedbugs, just making that statement to be fair. The room stunk of stale smoke, the night stand had a cigarette burn on it and the night stand lights did not work. The coffee maker had a healthy deposit of calcified debris in the water pour. The huge 200 pound tv from the 80's was locked to the table. REALLY? I think all of the furniture in the room may have come from flea markets because it was all dated and mismatched. The room was dimly lit and just depressing. My stay was scheduled for 2 days and left the next day, to stay at a cleaner hotel. This was my experience and it was not good. And the Wifi was non existent. My family have stayed here many times. For a bare-bones motel this is fine and the staff are friendly and helpful. Very clean and safe.

We had a reservation for two days at this Super 8. When we got there all was good, checked in and proceeded to our room. Well when you opened the door one could tell the room was not ready the carpet was not cleaned. The we saw the new was unmade, towels in the bathroom on the floor. We went back to the front desk to get another room. All the clerk said was it has not been rented in two days and its not cleaned...hmmmm. She checked and they are booked up. There is no one from house keeping here and I can't leave the front desk. Basically we were SOL back on the road we went and found a competitive motel. read more

I don't usuallt write reviews but I felt obligated to share this. Walking by, I overheard a couple talking on the phone and ended up seeing them outside and had a conversation with them. Sometimes life hits people hard in unexpected areas and due to identity theft, the couple, a former service member as well, lost everything and was staying at the super 8. They remained so confident having gone from a lot of success to losing everything they had, they said they felt extremely comforted by having a roof over their heads and the extremely friendly hotel staff, and the wonderful manager, Robin. Wishing I could do more, I later asked the hotel staff if they could have a week for free to help them out. Knowing Robin and the staff and how amazing they were, I pray that they surprise them with this, because some people truly don't deserve the hardships they are given. Sometimes life hits people pretty hard, but that's where community comes together and with the amazing hotel staff with great leadership there, I truly hope they surprise the 2 with a week free there to get under their feet.
