One of the key benefits is a guaranteed late checkout up to 4 PM at all non-resort/non-convention hotels. When we checked in yesterday, we requested a 3 PM late checkout and were told it was confirmed. Despite that, housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:30 AM trying to enter, long before even the standard 12 PM checkout. Then, the front desk informed us we must leave by noon because the hotel is sold out. This is a direct violation of Marriott's published policy. Customer service at Marriott corporate even contacted the hotel to remind them they were required to honor it, but management still refused. It's extremely disappointing and disrespectful to loyal guests. Beyond the policy issue, our stay has been disappointing in other ways: * Rude hotel staff: When bringing this matter to the attention of both the representative working at the front desk and supervisor consistently wouldn't allow us to finish sentences, interrupting constantly so we wouldn't be allowed to speak. This didn't happen just one time in conversation, it was every single sentence with both the front desk, representative and later, their supervisor. * Bathroom cleanliness: The bathroom floor had sticky residue spots that had clearly not been cleaned. * Room amenities not stocked: There were no cups provided for the coffee machine. * Unsanitary hairdryer: The hairdryer was fully covered in sticky, grimy residue--there is no way to hold it without your hands sticking to it. * EV charger unreliable: We specifically booked this property because it offered EV charging. We plugged in overnight, but the charger shut off at midnight without explanation. Now we're left with a long drive and an uncharged car. Each of these things individually seems so small and wouldn't normally be a big deal at all. However, between the disregard for Marriott's guaranteed benefits, lack of cleanliness, missing amenities, and unreliable facilities, this has been one of the worst hotel experiences we've had in years of travel. We will be escalating this to Marriott corporate, but future guests should be aware of what they may encounter here.

We enjoyed complimentary cracker cheese and sausage slices, veggies and dip, a cold beer, and chocolate chip cookies. They also had a green salad, garlic bread sticks, wine, and a broccoli cheddar soup. Pretty freaking fantastic. Our suite was fine with a big bedroom and living room/kitchen, full sized appliances, and a separate sink and toilet/shower area. The included breakfast was fine with a nice selection of scrambled eggs with cheese, sliced kielbasa, home fries, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, muffins, breads, apples, oranges, juice and coffee. Points Off The bedroom smoke detector was missing. One odd thing I noticed was how very low to the ground the toilet was. Definitely puts a strain on those old knees of mine when I dismounted. The shower was good on pressure and temperature, but there is no safety grab bar anywhere inside the shower. There was something on the wall just outside the shower, but I couldn't tell if it was a towel rack or a grab bar. Another safety issue, the shower floor was as smooth as a bowling ball. No pebbly or textured surface, it was slippery. The basic room rate was $165.62. State tax of $13.25 and room occupancy tax of $9.94 brought our one-night total to $188.81.

Here's the good: The staff were pretty wonderful and will bend over backwards to make your stay as comfortable as possible- every member of the staff was amazing. Some other families we met who were staying at the hotel were really nice and friendly, so much so we made plans for kids to hang out with each other during our stay. The hotel itself was fine, rooms- fine, lobby- fine, elevators- fine. The door to the pool area was broken the whole time we were there so someone had to let you in- again, the staff were always willing to help. The room was clean and reasonably maintained. Here's the odd part: I'm not sure what was going on but there seemed to be a lot of people living in the hotel. Maybe some were travel workers in healthcare and support services, but it also seemed to be their family and friends? It gave a much more apartment vibe to the place and many people knew each other. Don't expect to be able to use the washer and dryer or the gym because there are people legit living in the hotel and I just don't think portions of the hotel were intended to support quite that much extended staying. Add to this some traveling sports teams and it can get pretty crowded. The pool is usable but in need of a cleaning. And the part of town is pretty sketchy so definitely lock your vehicle, don't park a Kia here, and don't be hanging out outside the hotel at night. The woman didn't greet us, was rude when we asked questions, and when my BF came back to the desk later to question why the charge was $150 more than what the reservation stated she was angry and sent us away without explanation. The cleaning staff was very polite and helpful when we discovered pools of water inside the full-size refrigerator in the suite and it was leaking water all over the floor. We were able to get three towels to mop up the mess. Cleaning staff did offer to have the engineer come out to look into it but we didn't want to be bothered so we adjusted the temperature controls and put a bowl inside the fridge to catch any drips from ice build-up. That solved the problem for the duration of our stay. The continental breakfast that was included looked very unappealing. My BF picked up a bagel and a few other things but couldn't finish anything because it all tasted a bit off. I did enjoy the hot beverage station at the front doors which was a nice touch. The room itself was fine. Clean, with a small kitchen and even a dishwasher. It was nice to be able to fix up a small breakfast and not have to rely on takeout for every meal while in town. The bathroom water options were only hot & hotter which was strange. Even turning the sink & shower handles to "cold" resulted in hot water. The first morning we got warm water in the shower which was fine. The second morning the water was so hot I kept scalding myself trying to shower as quickly as possible. We found the prices to be high considering the size of the room. But as we booked a little too close to the dates we needed we didn't have many options. Location was decent. But we probably wouldn't stay here again if we were in town.
