This is gorgeous area with beautiful mountains all around. But I was not impressed with this Hampton inn. Stayed here for a business trip, my company selected this hotel. It's located next to a large indoor mall and other restaurants. I arrived from Honolulu at 10am. The hotel was empty. They would not allow early check in, and I'm a Hilton gold member. That was disappointing. I also did not receive any mywaybenefits. The room was very dated and dingy. The shower had very low water pressure. The TV was super old! The AC at night would go from super freezing cold to boiling hot, resulting in not the best rest. The staff did not seem to want guests there. read more

The location of this hotel is really good. Its within walking distance of a convenience store, a bar/restaurant, and if your fast enough on your feet because of the 6 lane road you'd need to cross...,the mall. This isn't a dead mall rather pretty much the whole space is used which is incredible this day and age. I found the hotel to be slightly dated, but not so bad that it deterred staying here. Warning to people who like a soft-medium mattress, these beds are not for you. They are solid firm mattresses without much give. They stack four thin pillows for you, I brought my own so that helped but I was awake so often to flip over because of pain they didn't really matter much anyway. Access points are at convenient spots around the building right next to the parking area. I appreciated that we could cone into our building close to our room at the opposite end of check in. They have daily cleaning services, if you don't need it that day, be sure to hang the tag on the door so they don't wake you up. I do appreciate the complimentary coffee and tea across from reception and also the cleanliness of the hotel in general even though things do need some tweaking like the squeaky luggage carts and the carpets need to be restretched in the hallways. I think they are trying to bring a great guest experience, so I'm going to leave my rating at a 4, unless something happens that affects that rating while I'm still here. read more

The King room we stayed in here has the exact same foot print as other Hampton locations we have visited. Vibrant red walls, fabric window blinds, small fridge, full bath. No microwave in this room. There is plenty of parking all around the building with several key card accessed entrances to the ground floor corridor. The elevator is halfway down the corridor. Breakfast is right off the lobby. Public restrooms just past reception. Coffee and hot water available all day. A bottle filling station is in the hallway just past reception. The hotel store carries food, H&B and beer. A small business center is across from the reception desk. The hotel offers a work out room, meeting rooms, a pool, guest laundry and laundry service. An order form for laundry service is in the room closet. That closet has several hangers, a luggage rack, iron and board. The room was clean, bed comfortable, sheets crisp, towels thick. Our king room has three bath towels, a bath mat, two hand towels and wash cloths. Multi-use products are mounted in the shower. Plenty of vanity space plus a shelf underneath. Shower pressure was good and plenty of hot water. Breakfast included scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, a pot of oatmeal, cold cereals, yogurts, hard boiled eggs,four juices, coffee/tea, toast/pastry and a waffle making area. Plus all the condiments/cream cheese/jelly/nuts/etc. Hall ways are wide. Doors slightly recessed from the hall. Everything was neat and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful. One mentioned they are undergoing some renovations. I didn't notice any inconvenience to guests due to renovation and everything looks great. Our stay was comfortable and relaxing. There are several restaurants and a gas station nearby. The aquarium is about eight minutes away and the downtown area about fifteen minutes or so. read more

Overall this chain has been consistent. This particular stay was under urgent circumstances and they were very accommodating. We were here for one week June 7-14 2025 This particular hotel is one of their older buildings but still very nice What did not impress: The room we had was 234, I believe it may have original been a single bed suite because the closet was partial block and had to access by a might stand. Very awkward and a pain in the A##. The window area had maybe some water damage once upon a time and had the plaster and the wood was rotted/peeled or missing. Looked very poor and decayed The ac unit worked great, however it sounds like a jet engine stating up or something and seemed louder as our stay progressed -one week Overall I recommend this chain and we have another stay already book at a different location on our way home for tonight. read more

Nice spacious room, clean, comfortable. I asked in the breakfast area if there was ice for my thermal cup, and an employee told me where it was - down the hall, around the corner. My room was pretty standard but clean, with a nice southeastern view. Mini fridge, ironing board, and other amenities are included. A nice touch was the variety of shower head options for water distribution in the shower -- from massage to brain jarring to rainforest sprinkling. Unfortunately, despite a larger shower curtain extended to both walls, water tended to bounce off the ceiling and make the tiled floor slick. Be careful exiting the shower. Pillows seemed quite thin, so stack 'em like pancakes if you need more neck support. I subtracted a star for these issues. Customer service was excellent and polite, with several of the front desk staff being rather helpful and communicative. Our questions were all answered and I felt the staff was anticipatory in its vision. The breakfast buffet here is quite nice, composed of cereals, waffles, juices, oatmeal bar, rotating protein (meat and eggs) hot dishes, bagels, and a mini fridge full of items to go, such as yogurt and hard-boiled eggs. The dining and serving spaces were very clean and both ladies prepping and cleaning the area were super fast and efficient, enabling quick turnover without feeling rushed. The lobby offers self-made hot drinks for free. This includes teas, hot chocolate, and several varieties of coffee. Further down is a well-stocked mini-store with snacks to take on the go. read more

The hotel is currently doing renovations. They were laying down new carpet in the lobby and on the first floor when we checked in. We waited over 15 mins to check in. There was no rep at the desk, just a sign that said BRB. Room does not have a microwave, just a mini fridge. There is a water fountain near the lobby which was helpful. Breakfast was okay. There was a lot of people at breakfast and the staff had a hard time keeping up with refilling the egg omelettes and sausages. They did have 2 waffle machines. read more

Worst hotel stay ever. first night there were partiers carrying on yelling and screaming until all hours and loud music. Apparently some sort of event going on and nothing done to respect the peace of the people paying for their already over priced rooms. Second night a group of rowdy teenagers were left unattended in the hotel lobby and were yelling loudly for hours. I called the front desk and asked why that was allowed and we could not sleep. dismissed by front desk worker and told he would tell them to not yell. Nothung was done. read more

Such a nice friendly clean hotel. The atmosphere is really set here , all other patrons were very friendly! The hotel smelled and felt very clean! I feel like we are in a safe area and even left a few bags in the car that we never do! Front desk was very nice at check in! The firm bed was of my liking, pillows FLAT! My husband liked those though lol Our view of the highway was nice as well, felt like an updated hotel room! When I travel I stay at Hampton Inn exclusively. This stay really made me reconsider doing that anymore...I have stayed at this location before when it was new. It is now run down and shabby. It needs new paint/decor. The carpet is bubbling in the hallways and needs to be replaced. Many of the bench seats in the breakfast area are broken. The breakfast area is very small and does not have much choice in terms of selection compared to other Hampton Inn I have stayed at. The rooms are dark and dingy. The bedding is old. The bedspreads slide off the bed. The worst part is they do not clean your room now. If this is "eco friendly" - I'll take a hard pass Hampton Inn. We stayed for 5 nights. They did not clean our room, change the sheets, vacuum, empty the trash, restock toilet paper, cups, or soap/shampoo. We had to literally beg the staff to come and empty the trash on day 3 which was overflowing. Nasty and disgusting. They will soon have roaches with the trash not being taken out daily. Nasty and disgusting. We had to beg for clean towels. They expected us to use the same towel for 5 days....nasty. There was no fan in the bathroom so everything stayed damp. We had to get toilet paper from the front desk. Remote control for TV did not work. Staff did not care. The only nice thing about this hotel was the indoor pool and hot tub. I will never stay here again. I spent a lot of money to stay here and wish I would have stayed somewhere else. If this is how Hampton Inn operates now-- you've lost a long term customer. read more

I have been here for 2 weeks. For the 3rd time there is no hot water, it is lukewarm at best. Seems to be a serious lack of maintenance.

Me and my family stayed at this Hampton Inn in Sandy Utah we got to the room and when I pulled back the covers their were so many bugs on the cover and bed bugs on the sheets I couldn't even stay there I needed to go somewhere else I told the front desk manager kalli about the bugs and needed a refund and that we were going to go somewhere else she said she couldn't give me a refund but she could offer me another room! The health inspector needs to come and inspect this hotel read more

Was fine for the purpose it served- but in terms of hospitality was incredibly lacking, and I don't think I will ever be staying here ever again. I am one to try to always leave positive reviews- but even for someone like me this hotel was just unacceptable. Upon arriving at our hotel, I had quickly noticed that there was an empty space where a safe should've been. There was also no outlets near the desk they have in the room, so it was difficult to do any sort of work there with items that need to be plugged in. The blinds are also very tedious to close- but that's not as important as some of the other key things I haven't addressed. Multiple days in to our stay, we noticed that we had not received any room service and I went down to inquire it at the front desk. I walked in to an empty lobby and had to wait for someone to come around from the back, and when I asked how often room service came around, was told they should be coming every day. It had been about two or three days since we checked in, so I mentioned that to them and they said they'd make sure to send someone for room service later that day. Cool, awesome, problem solved right? Nope. We came back to a clean room- but now several items in our room were missing. We were now missing unopened snacks we'd bought, along with a makeup palette that was never found by the end of our trip and another palette had been broken, along with things just generally displaced and moved around in a way that made them harder to find/risked making a mess. We stopped requesting room service after this incident and always put a do not disturb sign on our door when leaving the hotel. The walls were also *paper* thin, and we could hear everything that went on outside by the hotel pool, as well as if our neighbors played any music during their stay, etc. Though I'm not surprised considering this hotel was relatively cheap, but it still made things a bit difficult. The window also sounds like it's open even when it's fully closed. I went to the front desk to tell them about missing items from my room, and was satisfied with their initial response- but consider we'd only had one instance of receiving room service and they never found out what actually happened, I suspect that they didn't actually look in to or do anything about the missing items. We were also not compensated in any way. Most likely will not be checking in to this hotel ever again, and if I do it will probably be my last choice. read more

Pros: Great location, friendly staff, relatively quiet, mostly working AC/heater. Cons: Everything else. The bed was rock hard and the pillows paper thin. We asked to change rooms hoping for something marginally more comfortable but were told all the mattresses were the same. All the front desk could offer was to pass along a complaint to the general manager. The "lighting" in the room was dim, green, and insufficient. There was no vent in the bathroom. Breakfast was okay but very minimal and located in the lobby with hardly any seating. Go early or there'll be nothing left and the kids will have clogged up or broken the waffle machines. The ground floor smells like smoke even though all rooms are non-smoking. TLDR; I paid for a "3-star" hotel thinking it'd be simple but comfortable. I was wrong. Never going back. read more

The only redeeming aspect of this hotel is the pricing, post-COVID. Small but acceptable rooms, no insulation in the walls so be prepared to hear every faucet that gets turned on, every conversation nearby, etc. Bed ok, pillows so soft they're worthless. Breakfast was the worst part as even the freshly laid out egg omlets are already cold. The meat is artificial, not real. Vegans should love it but the meat is also served cold. Dining area is incredibly small. We won't be returning. In order to be fair, if you cannot afford anywhere else other than under a bridge, this is for you. read more

My daughter and I recently stayed here and we had a great experience! We brought our cat with us too. Since we were in and out much of the time, we didn't get to use the many amenities in the hotel. The room/bathroom was clean and just what you would expect. No issues at all. Our cat was comfy there too. At the end of the day, it was nice to come back to a cozy room to relax. The free breakfast every morning was great and the lady (I'm so bad with names) that runs it is absolutely Amazing! I loved the lemon scones so much she hunted down where they came from for me. Also allowed me to take a few extra for our trip home. The manager, staff at the desk, and the housekeeping staff were all so attentive to our needs. I find this to be true of all the Hampton/Hilton Hotels. It seems they hire really great people who are truly happy to help. I will be back to this location the next time I'm in town. It's a pretty decent mid-line hotel, but it loses a star due to the very challenging work desk situation. The property seems a little older but it's in very good condition. Everything was clean. The room was totally spotless and nicely appointed. Except for the desk, which is crazy tall compared to the chair provided, so it was rather difficult to type on a laptop. I would have rated the place four stars except for that issue, which is critical to my business travel. Service was friendly and effective. They have a nice free breakfast buffet that includes pretty good eggs, cereal, toast/bagels, and the like. There is a shuttle for nearby trips (3 mile limit). read more

Hampton Inn is part of the Hilton family of hotels. Traditional found off major highways. Great places to stop when road tripping. I was a bit surprised that my Hilton # was not added to my account because I booked the room with my AMEX points. Odd at other Hiltons my # is always taken to get points on incidentals. Plus at Hampton Inn's I usually get a snack pack and free water. It's been 8 months I stayed at a Hilton so perhaps the policy has changed. It's a nice clean hotel. The staff was nice. The rooms are well appointed. Beds nice and firm with clean sheets. You can select to go green and get them changed as you wish. Pillows are pretty bad -- they look pretty till you put your head on it...then it's a pancake. Bathrooms have towels and toiletries. They offer breakfast daily. The grab and go breakfast bag are a better offering -- water, fruit, granola bar, coffee cake. Cookies are made fresh every afternoon and are at the registration desk for an afternoon snack. Unlike most Hampton Inn, I don't think they do the Manager's Happy Hour. The pantry has tons of candies, microwave meals, and sodas -- I think it's a dry hotel - ie not wine. The indoor pool area was great for young kids I was traveling with. But it kept so hot it was not a enjoyable place to hang out and watch the kids in the pool. read more

Went here straight from Salt Lake City airport, 30 min away. Very close to the highway, easy to find. Stayed in a king. Room was very clean, had a couch in it. Bathroom was spacious. Loved the free breakfast 6-10 every day. Choices included egg frittata, French toast, muffins, toast, English muffins, variety of juices, oatmeal with lots of fixings, fruit, waffle maker, etc. tea, coffee, and hot chocolate is available all day. Giving this 5 stars for many reasons-- no this isn't super luxurious but for the price bracket and Covid Times they got it all right! Parking is plentiful- though a few more lights by the driveway off Holiday Park would be good- on a dark snowy night it was a bit hard to see. Lobby had lots of signage, and staff available right away. They also left the tables in the Breakfast area and you could use them if you wished! Much appreciated. ALSO a huge shoutout for the Snacks and Vending machines-- recently many hotels in this category and other Hamptons have zero vending machines-- which is bad-- after many hours driving or traveling sometimes you just want to raid the vending machine-- chips, sweets, salty- maybe some cheese/crackers and some drinks so YES -- big YES here! There is a pool = though I did not use it. Also a nice size Work out room- again did not use on this trip. Room with King and sofa was nice. Hot water is incredible- the shower water pressure and dialable shower head was wonderful!!! Bed was still FIRM - and even though there were no choices on pillows== the staff had a nice extra blanket in the closet. One folding luggage rack-- still don't understand why an extra luggage rack can't be in King Size rooms-- often 2 people are in these rooms-- Desk well lit with plug ins. Refrigerator nice size-- I don't recall a microwave but hopefully they had one Small coffee maker works and has the little pods-- I don;t like that it's a plastic tray BUT any clean working coffee maker in room is basic to my standards. Staff was friendly. Doors had stickers to indicate they had been cleaned. I didn't ask how long in between guests rooms were empty. The towels are good quality and they left 4 nice large bath towels in room- thank you- lately I have been running into rooms with a lack of towels. The hotel is easy to get to off the Interstate but the room was quiet= walls seemed thick so the only noise was hall noise-- and a door slam here and there. Rooms ending in 22 are close to the elevators but on the corner so you are only next to one other room. The desk staff recommended a great quick restaurant for carry out Zao which was a gem!! The staff here is wonderful! We arrived around 2:am due to flight delays, but were still greeted by a smiling face. The desk clerk was pleasant and upbeat. He got us checked in promptly. What a nice surprise to discover mints in the room. The next morning, we enjoyed the normal Hampton Inn breakfast set up. I had fresh pineapple, grapefruit and blueberries... Very refreshing. I also grabbed an omelet, although it was made from liquid box eggs. The available hot sauce choices made it more tolerable. I used a jalapeno hot sauce that set my mouth ablaze. The coffee was great. Our room was quite large, including a love seat with large ottoman, a desk area for working, refrigerator, coffee maker, bed side tables with lamps and drawers, a set of drawers under the TV, as well as a small closet. The bathroom was roomier than some. It had a bathtub and a side set vanity, which was nice because of the mirror angles. I wasn't so sure about the bed at first, but it slept well. My only suggestion would be to include a bit more vacuuming. There seemed to be a paper explosion in the elevator. But, in all fairness, we arrived late...Really late. The cleaning crew was on top of it the next morning. The absolute main reason this Hampton Inn deserved 5 stars is the staff. They truly went above and beyond. I approached the front desk to ask about locating some natural hot springs to visit. I completely lucked out and was given information on another great destination called Cecret Lake. After reading up on the adventure, I realized it would be after dark on the return hike. The hotel let me borrow two small flashlights for my adventure. How kind. Otherwise, I would have had to find a store, purchase them and waste valuable luggage space. I can't thank them enough. It really is the little things. read more

My aunt invited me to come and stay with her while she was in town for business at the Hampton Inn. I was like, "Uhhhh, sure," but couldn't fathom why she would choose to stay at such a humdrum hotel. I was wrong. Super wrong. Sure it lacks the glamour of some of the nicer hotels downtown, but the Hampton Inn is a solid choice. Did you know they're actually owned by Hilton? The room was really nice. And really big. There was a lot of space for clothing storage and a really nice desk/mini-fridge/microwave/television space. The bathroom and shower were great, and the hotel provided Neutrogena hygiene products. The next morning, I was blown away by the Hampton Inn's complimentary continental breakfast. They had everything -- eggs and bacon, bagels, muffins, and toast, and even a make-your-own waffle station. The dining area was crowded, but very pleasant. I also liked that the HI offered free coffee, tea, and apples at all hours of the day and night. As I am a poor college student, I don't often stay at hotels. Particularly in Sandy, UT. But if I were from out of town and were choosing between several mid-range options, knowing what I now know, I would totally go with Hampton. read more

This place is great, I don't know what the other reviews are talking about. The rooms are clean and big, Hampton Inns policy is to clean the comforter between each guest too, so you don't have to worry about a 60 Minutes expose highlighting this place with a black light... It is definitely close to the highway, but that's not their fault, just ask for a room on the back of the hotel and you have a view of the mountains instead and won't hear a sound. I got home from my last visit and had a thank you card waiting for me, thanking me for staying with them and inviting me back, hand written! That's some service. read more

I left a Soma pajama bottom, top and robe on the bathroom door last week in room 302. I called and the front desk said the cleaning crew didn't log in any items. Of course not because they stole the items which were worth about $80. And I left them a $5 tip 2 different days. The bed was so hard it was difficult to get a decent night's sleep. I stayed here on business and was pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. I felt right at home. The room was clean and the linens were white and crisp. The room was a nice size, the decor was classy. I really enjoyed the high quality Neutrogena soaps and shampoo and conditioner. No luxury was spared, they even offered mouthwash. I stayed only two nights, yet my room was attended to; fresh linens were applied to my bed, fresh bath towels, and even all the soaps and shampoo was replaced by a fresh bottle. The pool and hot tub was a nice retreat after a long day hike after my business meeting, and in the morning fresh pineapple slices and other fruits were served on ice, and they had a nice make-your-own waffle set up with fresh batter and a waffle griddle. The staff was courteous, and everything was smooth going. I had a little blunder while there and forgot a bag to put my jewelry in. I had used an empty soap box and panicked when I realized I had left it in the bathroom and my room had been serviced. I thought the maid may have mistaken it for empty and discarded it. I was happily relieved to find not only was the box right where I left it, with all of my jewelry inside, but also the soaps had all been thoughtfully replaced. The gentleman at the front desk even offered suggestions on places to sight see and restaurants nearby. I very much enjoyed my stay. read more

This was my first time staying at a Hampton Inn and I was very impressed. We have stayed at the Hilton downtown SLC but this was more affordable so we took a chance. The staff was friendly and courteous. Check in was a breeze. The room was clean and maintained. The beds and linen are so comfortable. The breakfast buffet is complimentary and really good! They served eggs, French toast, oatmeal with all the fixins, waffle station, fruits, toast, pastries and bagels. They also have coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the lobby. Even in February you can enjoy the pool as it is heated and indoors with a spa. They also provided nice big pool towels. We will be back and highly recommend this place. read more

Overall, this was a good experience and I don't want to discourage anyone from staying there, but there were a couple rough spots we found frustrating. 1) No microwave or fridge in the room. 2) The elevators are in the back of the building inside an always locked door where the key card frequently failed to work. No provisions to unload your car except a typical parking lot. 3) The luggage carts were the smallest and least useful of any I've ever encountered.
