Really lovely spot right off I-95. Playground, clean sites, nice bathroom, wine bar, local beer on tap, fresh pizza, dog park, walking trail. I just can't say enough about this campground. They really go out of their way to make your stay nice. Apparently, it's a stop over for Florida bound travelers. We decided to stay an extra day. Oh, lots of cable channels and strong wi-fi. Nice little campground. Very wooded. A lot of fun lawn ornaments around the grounds. Nice employees. Bathrooms are nice but small. Pool is nice but small and not heated p, but it was nice that it was open. To bad you no longer have a hot tub. The area is very load due to proximity to the highway and what sounded like an airport. This is the best kept secret. A wine bar, a coffee bar, fresh pizza and wings made to order. Wine tasting, and they close at 9 pm. I am impressed.. Everyone is extremely pleasant including the local sheriff . The registration office closes at 9 pm which is much later than other KOA's that l have been to. They also have someone who will escort you to your camping spot provided you get there before closing. We were starving and it was a little after 8. There were so many people ordering the pizza, so we tried the pizza and wings and it was delicious. They also deliver your pizza order. Wing tasting and flights were priced at a reasonable price and l sat there and ordered my food. You can purchase snacks and a few little grocery items you made need for your camper. As l sipped my wine, l met the local sheriff and quite enjoyed my conversation with him. There is also a coffee bar which offers quite a selection for a great morning perk up They don't serve breakfast, but it would be a great asset. Nice area for taking a shower and a very nice pool to sit around and relax. This is definitely a must go to spot. Best KOA l have been to and l highly recommend it read more

My family recently took an RV trip from Florida to Maine and back, and this was the first KOA we stayed at. It was clean and well cared for. The kids loved the playground, and there was a red telephone booth that had a book exchange inside. This was a really nice place to stay. read more

I just can't say enough nice things about this super cute campground. I've camped forever, but never been to a KOA. It was lovely. I think it was a bit more like glamping. It was my first time doing that as well. And it was so much fun! My husband and I shared a camp site with some friends of ours. The pad was spacious and lined with rubber mulch. There is a picnic table as well as a long corner bench and extra table. There is plenty of room to set everything out. They have a swimming pool that is super cute. They have a store, bar, pizza joint combo that serves local beers and wines. They have daily wine and beer tastings. The staff is super happy and friendly. The bathrooms are clean. There is a small pond close by that you can walk around or fish there. What more could you ask for! read more

This is only our third KOA stay with our new travel trailer, but by far the best one!! From the layout/sites to the cute decor to the pizza, beer, and wine available (inside the office/store area or the food can be delivered to your site!) to the cute pool to the nice clean bathrooms and last but not least the VERY friendly very helpful staff...I can't say enough! We only stayed overnight on our way home, but plan to go back to stay there longer in order to explore the places near it: Charleston, Hilton Head, and Beaufort. We love this KOA! read more

This is a great campground, everything exceeded our expectations. The ONLY issue we have are the people in the next cabin had a little yippy dog barking at 6am on. So much for sleeping in. But don't let this deter you, the office staff said no matter how early/late it is to please contact them so it can be put to a stop right away. read more

The nicest KOA we've stayed at. We travel with our two largish dogs frequently, so accommodations can sometimes be challenging. This KOA has the standard KOA "Kamping Kabins", but the also offer pet friendly larger cabins that are nice "tiny houses" with full accommodations. You'll get a friendly escort to your space. Notable about this KOA: every time we visit, they improve. Many KOAs seem to try to stretch their infrastructure to the breaking point and beyond before fixing or replacing things. This KOA proactively renews, upgrades, and improves! Their facilities are very clean and well maintained. They offer a real feeling of community to their guests as well- really good coffee that they brew, which they get fresh roasted from a local bean roaster, a wine bar, fresh pizza (lots of toppings), weekend campfire ring, even a small general store. They have a dog park, and two big grassy fields where you can walk the dogs also. There's also a nice path away from the campsites to walk. We've been here without the dogs also- and stayed in their very cool "trolley" which is an authentic trolley converted to a cabin. They have a railroad caboose also. We often make this our last night stop on the way home to Miami from wherever we've wandered. It's always a relaxing stop. read more

This is our second time staying here. We come from NJ to Florida with our RV and this is a great stop to break up the trip. Oh, did I mention they have awesome pizza, wine tasting, and beer flights?! This is a very nice KOA, clean, quiet and comfotable. Sites are not especially spacious, but the service offerred and the great staff make it a wonderful place to overnight on your way north or south. Bathouses are immaculate! Really good pizza, can be delivered right to your campsite, a tremendous asset when you are tired and just got off the road. Great place for pets too, small dog park, clean up stations. Pool looks clean....small but inviting. Small coffee/wine bar. I found the camp store to be just a wee bit short on supplies, its much heavier on the souvenier side. But a great short stay, as always, we will always stay here on our way north or south! read more

This little KOA is so clean, quiet and relaxing. Check in was easy with Kate who was so sweet! They escort you to your camping site .....Ally was our escort and she was very nice. They have a pizzeria on site with pizza and wings and they even deliver. They have a nice pool, life size chess board, corm hole and playground for the kids. It's a quaint little campground right off of I-95. It's a transient campground though, it mostly empties in the morning and refills throughout the day. But it's super clean, and very nicely maintained. There's a nice playground for the kids, a nice walking trail around a lake, a wine bar with wine tasting, and a small dog park. It's perfect for a night or two while traveling through. We stayed a week because we didn't realize that it was a small transient campground, which was fine because it's centrally located between Beaufort, Savannah, Hilton Head, and Charleston; and we visited them all. It's not really a 'Stay the week' kinda campground if you have kids though because everyone else is just passing through so there really isn't many other kids to make friends with and hang out for the week. That being said, the staff was nice and it's nicely maintained. read more

This was my first visit /stay in a KOA. Staff was pleasant, outside staff were great ! Pizza was quite good. Overall , I was very pleased. We rented a cabin and it was excellent! The only change I would say should be done would be on the ad it says "kitchenette" there us actually sink, fridge,microwave and... no stove.. pots to use but no stove. There us a gas grill outside, but I could never imagine using the cookware on this grill. We cooked hamburgers, so it was perfect, but had planned pancakes and sausage for breakfast.. no stove.. hmmm. The bunk beds would be great for kids.. but as adults.. not good, very thin mattresses.. the queen bed was better. Nice bathroom with good shower area. read more

Rude. Friday nights are our pizza night. We happen to be staying at the Thousand Trails right down the road (1/2 mile). I called the Hunt Brothers Pizza phone # and of course the KOA desk answered. I asked if Hunt delivered and the lady answered very coldly that they only delivered to those staying at the KOA. As I was asking her if they did delivery, she hung up on me!! And this place won Campground of the Year in 2016? Won't ever win it again with that kind of attitude. And I am a KOA member. read more

Stayed here for about 2 nights very strict and unwelcoming we had a cousin and her children over playing at the park when 3 "staff" members came out and were very rude about my family being there saying they needed to be signed in and registered to be able to come over we had no idea they made up feel very uncomfortable as if we were doing something wrong that's why we got our $ back and left the following day definitely won't be back the manager was super nice and helpful getting our money back and so was one other lady the rest very rude. read more

I so wanted to like this place more. Please bear in mind I am not a camping, (well there was that night at Motel 6). I had a father and son weekend here and rented a beautiful clean and efficient cottage. Thats exactly what I got. The downfall is you loose the woodsy feel when its behind a double wide mobile home that keeps there yard like some NC Hillbilly's. The staff was Super friendly. I had to do the 2 star because it kills that mood. That double wide should be in the online pics.Diversity is 1. I saw 1 African American family here. read more

We stopped in here for a brief overnight and we're so happy we did. It is a well maintained, clean, lovely little KOA conveniently located off of 95. The staff (Ben and Sue) were so friendly and helpful. The wine and coffee bar was fantastic. They also have craft beer cans and on tap. I see people have negatively reviewed this KOA because of the traffic noise from I-95, but it didn't phase us in the least, but we also don't tent camp. So if you tent camp and are a sensitive sleeper(s), this may not be the spot for you. We loved it. read more

I am not sure why such high ratings for this campground. We stayed in cabin #1, it smelled horrible. I asked about cleaning, I was told they disinfect mattress and flip after every guest. I am not sure how this could be done without some smell of clean. When we put our sheets in the bunk, there was dirt and crunchy stuff next to mattress. The ac did a good job in one room. The other room had none. We were told we could not eat in the coffee shop due to number restrictions, yet when I went back in a few minutes later there was a family of 5 eating at a table along with two employees and 3 others picking up a pizza. So much for a limit of only 7 people in eatery. We were told they had tables outside, indeed they did. They were in high grass. Pool area and pool needs some attention too. The shower house was never cleaned one time while we were there. We checked in at 6pm out next day at 10am. We will not go back, nor recommend. We are KOA members. I really regret this stay. read more

We were looking for coffee and found it on Apple maps. It was a delightful place. The owners were super friendly and very knowledgable of the area. We ended up "panning for treasure", buying pizza for the kids, and coffee for the adults. Coffee was top-notch. We are very glad, that we made the sidebar adventure. We had such a wonderful time at this KOA! After being on the road for two weeks we stopped in for a overnight on our way home in hopes to have some rest and a little fun on our last night of vacation. This place was awesome and the perfect way to end our vacation! The kids got to gem mine, we had pizza and did some wine and beer tasting! The staff was absolutely fantastic and fun! Nice KOA! Clean gravel site! Mud and dirt around our site, hard for the grass to grow, because lots of trees, ant piles around, my dog got into one. Staff and personnel, very nice, friendly and accommodating. They do have full hook up sites, we called last minute for a site for one night, and they only had water/electric site left, for 50 amp, for us, 40' motorhome. They do have a dumping station. Cable and decent WiFi! Nice pool! There are special touches around, flowers, planters, benches, and garden concrete animals, very cute! Not a lot of restaurants close. Would stay again! read more

One of the best KOAs we have been at, if not the best. The KOA folks were all nice and helpful. The Camp K9 was clean and easy to get to. They have modified some of the amenities due to the corona virus - all you need to do is plan your time in the pool and with games. They pick up your trash throughout the day. They have a coffee, beer and wine place that is yummy. We did wine tasting and I got to choose which wines I tasted which was awesome. They made me a mini cheese pizza to use as a taste cleaner. The bathroom was very clean and had hot water! They have good water pressure and someone checks the bathrooms regularly. I will stay here again for sure!!!! read more

This is s nice stop for a few days. Convenient to surrounding area, Beaufort, Hilton Head, Bluffton. A bit of a stretch to Savannah, Charleston. The close by area is rich with history and there are abundant historic markers to stop and read. The campground is convenient to I-95 though there is constant low level traffic noise. The drives and sites are level, gravel. There are shady sites and a few partly shaded sites. For a big rig it seems that many sites are a bit small or difficult to maneuver through. The laundry is only open part time 07:00 to 21:00. Decent, clean restrooms. Decent swimming pool. Not all rules are enforced, during my stay three preteen children swam with no adult supervision for a couple of hours. The office makes pizzas and will deliver to your site. My Verizon phone and Jetpack service was a bit weak here and only worked reliably outside my rig. In all, mostly quiet, friendly and safe. I would stay again. I stayed five nights this trip. read more

My experience here was fine in the campground but not so much in the cabin. I didn't realize how dirty cabins can be but this particular one (cabin 2) was a bit much for me. Upon entering I noticed several dark spots on the wood bed which seemed to have been varnished over. As someone with experience with bed bugs, this is the sign of a past infestation. While I don't think any exist still, leaving furniture with spots all over it like gave me the heebs. Gazing up from the bed to where the headboard was, was a white sticky goo on the wall. The floor was pretty dirty. I reported my findings to the desk and he was very nice and refunded me partially. I was told the manager would address it in the morning or at least come and see what the issue wAs. I quickly dropped the key at the office and no words were exchanged about it and the manager never visited the cabin. This made me feel ignored and I didn't have time to request any more attention towards it. Otherwise I'd have gladly resolved the issue without writing a review. Other than the interior of the cabin I enjoyed the porch swing and the fire pits. People in the park were nice and the iced coffee tho $5 was amazing. read more

This place was perfect. We stayed at the best western wanted pizza and went there. The people there where beyond friendly. Had talked to them for about 20-30 mins about the camp site and many different things but they made it seem like we have been friends for years. Planning a trip to bring my camper down here from ohio for couple weeks to stay. Felt like home just being there for how long we where. Highly recommended! read more

My husband and I travel in a truck camper and sometimes stay at commercial campgrounds. KOA is generally dependable, clean, sometimes good location/views. But a winebar? It was better than expected and they had a couple of good local draft beers as well. Oh, and an espresso machine for morning lattes. Also a ton of area to walk the dog. As for the basics, bathroom was modern, even stylish, clean, big showers, great water pressure, lots of hot water. The sites are big and flat with lots of nice landscaping. We will stay here again next time we come this way. read more

This was a nice place to spend the night. We tent-camped on a raised flat sandy pad. It was dry and clean. The bathrooms were very clean and well lit. The pizza was delicious after a long day and they offered a wine tasting. The staff was exceptionally helpful and nice. Only con for me is the road noise. Just off of 95 meant that it was loud all night, and I had trouble sleeping. Also - several trains passed nearby through the night. If I were to do it again, I would bring earplugs or rent one of the adorable little cabins to cut down on the road noise. Overall... thumbs up.
