Room was clean and updated. Breakfast was the same breakfast they have at all Hampton Inns - minimal variety. The fruit they served each morning looked terrible. The dinning area was very small as was the food area - You couldn't grab food while someone else was in there. Staff were pleasant. The snack machine which is only on 3rd floor was almost empty. That was the only option for food and drinks other than breakfast. The cookies were always gone by 5pm and they were overcooked every day. read more

We stayed one night with our cat on the way to live in Colorado. The check in was fine; they had a girl training who was a little rude, but the gentleman on duty was stellar. The room was clean and comfy. Our cat loved the view from the fourth floor window, having lived her entire life in a first floor condo. Only thing about the room I hated was the shower flow. I have thick hair and rinsing it properly under a light rain is impossible. Check out was a simple goodbye and handing over our key. We left early, and the kind lady let my brother in law in for juice 15 minutes prior to official start time. Overall, I rate this hotel 4 stars! read more

Great hotel and even better people!!! Karen, the GM, should get employee of the year! Very sweet and accommodating. She even helped bail me out of a horrible situation with another hotel in York (see my reviews) and not only got me ma room but matched the other hotels price! Housekeeping is great, rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Even thought they don't have a restaurant like the "other place" believe me it's worth staying here and driving across the street or walking next door to other places to eat. read more

Hampton Inns are a great addition to the American Interstates. Whereas in the past you had to take your chances with Best Westerns and Super 8's that had varying quality from location to location; at Hampton's I know what to expect each time and that every hotel will have the same level of quality. I am glad to see that there are more and more Hampton locations nationwide along rural highways for this reason. The Hampton in York, NE stays in line with the expected Hampton experience. Friendly check in; Spacious, well appointed rooms; indoor pool and spa; fitness center; and a decent warm breakfast are among the amenities included with your visit. At $112 (AAA rate) with tax, Hampton's aren't as cheap as a Super 8 or Best Western but for the extra $30 you receive a level of service and quality that is absent from those other two competitors. This Hampton is easily accessed from I-80 allowing for easy on and off. Also, there are fast food, gas, a walmart, and a Starbucks in walking distance of the hotel. Great hotel for travelling, I will stay there again if needing accommodation in the area. read more

Sorry Hampton, I like your points but won't stay here again. Faint but persistent oder on the 1st floor, my room on the 3rd was fine. Room was clean. Rather than a closet, you hang your clothes about 4 feet off the ground in a cabinet. Not enough room to hang pants or a long coat. )-: I'm pretty cheap, but Breakfast was so bad I skipped the "free breakfast" and paid for McDonalds after the 1st night. If you pay a couple dollars more, you'll do much better at the Holiday Inn next door. read more

This hotel gets 2 stars: one for the friendly staff and one for cleanliness. We reserved a room with a queen bad. My husband and I could barely fit on this bed, and we are average sized people. The bed was obviously only a full size. If you like to sleep on the floor, then you'll love the bed. It's hard as a rock. So bad that I woke up a couple times with aching hips! I'm only 47, so I haven't reached the point of aching body parts from sleeping yet. The room is one of the smallest that I've ever seen. It reminds me of the tiny room that we stayed at in a hotel in Brooklyn a few years ago. But this is NEBRASKA. I don't think that they're lacking space here. After all, we are driving through the state on I-80 so I have seen the terrain. Now the icing on the cake. About an hour after checking in, we both asked each other if we could smell "that smell". I kid you not, we spent the next 15 minutes searching for a dead, rotten mouse in our room. We came to the conclusion that it had to be the sewer, and that the smell was coming from the shower drain. I balled up a wet towel to cover the drain. Either that helped or we became acclimated to the smell overnight. Ugh. We didn't have the energy to complain and ask for a new room at this point in the night after working all day and then traveling for several hours. I try not to leave negative reviews, but people need to be warned about this place. Breakfast: Typical COVID breakfast. Frozen burritos and omelets that you heat in your room. Pretty decent except for the lady in charge of the meal that was in my personal space and giving me the stink eye while I filled our plates. Yes, I filled two plates because my husband stayed in the room to take a shower. Even if I did load two plates for myself, I don't think that is against the rules so the scolding looks were not necessary. Again, I feel that I need to stress the friendly staff and cleanliness because it wasn't all bad but I won't return either. read more

Appears to be somewhat recently renovated. Very clean rooms, nice tiled bathrooms. Rooms very cozy, relaxing and modern feel. While we didn't use them, they have fitness room, pool, hot tub. Complimentary breakfast was very good, better than most hotels like we've stayed. Not a "5-star" breakfast but great variety for a complimentary hotel meal. Omelets, CUBE style hash browns, link sausage, waffles, fruit, 3 juices, holes eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal. And they make nice snag bags you can grab for the road when you leave. Very friendly and attentive staff. read more

We've stayed at many Hampton Inns all over the country and this was the worst we've experienced. Room was small, rust on shower, noisy air system, terrible breakfast, we were glad to leave. Definitely not up to standard. read more

One of the worse I've stayed in unfortunately, the bathroom vent is visible but doesn't work, the breakfast was not satisfying at all there were ants all over the yogurt and fruit area. It was overpriced and they wouldn't honor government travel rates. read more

Unlike most Hamptons, this one is crummy. The cleanliness standard has slipped, and breakfast.....well, why bother? Biskets & gravy is junk and no oatmeal? What's up with that? I went next door. The spa was as sudsy as a fresh beer and they were out of towels in the pool area. But they were sold out thanks to I-80, but Id certainly pass this one up next time. read more

The outside may not be impressive, but the rooms seem newly remodeled. Very comfortable beds, nice bathroom, and great service. The pool was clean, and the hot tub was hot. A relaxing, updated, comfortable hotel. Loved it! read more

Really friendly staff, I was stranded in York when I80 closed and we stayed here. After staying over one night and the road still being closed, they let us keep our room till six PM before rebooking for the night and when the road closed at six, we told them we wouldn't need out room for the night, no problem! Great flexibility made a huge difference for us:) read more

I'm a huge fan of Hilton hotels. This one doesn't measure up to their usual high standard. But it's still better than a budget chain or, worse, a mom-and-pop. The elevator is really, really slow. The room has a noticeable odor like cleaner. Breakfast was adequate. read more

Terrible customer service from hotel manager, Paula. Made a 2-night reservation, but flight cancelled. Called and explained the situation and out of my control. As I cancelled after 6PM so they said they were going to charge me for the missed night. My travel agent called and Paula refused to make any accommodation. I finally arrived for the second night of the stay and upon checkout asked about the charge; front desk person told me that they would accommodate as there were extenuating circumstances. Received an email with the bill and charged 50% of the first night. Called manager Paula and told, in a very curt manner, she had a business to run and this is all she was willing to do. We stayed for three days and were happy with the room (very comfortable beds) and thought the breakfast was quite good. Every morning was something different and they offered a lot of choices such as cereals, sweet rolls, fruit, one morning waffles and some kind of egg dish. My husband said the coffee was okay. The only negative was that the printer wasn't working so we couldn't print out our boarding passes. We did that easily at the airport. We would stay there again as the location was great for getting around York. read more

Walk to Walmart (Subway inside), convenience stores, Runza (Great Food) next door. McDonalds and Arby across the street. 42" flat screen. Great for single business traveler. Negative is only one computer in business center. Have stayed here twice this month and plan to stay here often on business. read more

We always stay at Hampton Inns whenever possible but this is not up to the standard we are use to. Breakfast was a joke, this location should be embarrassed. Food area was the size of a walk in closet. Virtually no choices and a very disinterested employee keeping or should I say, NOT keeping things supplied. The area was very tight and I have an adult daughter with a disability that makes it difficult to walk without assistance. The front desk clerk comes bounding around from the corner and almost knocks her over. He tried to push past her to the point that I had to stop him and tell him he needed to be a little more courteous and he didn't even acknowledge that he was being rude. If I hadn't been right there he would have continued to try to push around her and she would have lost her balance and fallen. Could have been costly for the hotel if she had been injured because of his carelessness, just saying. Clearly she does not need to suffer needlessly because of his behavior. A sincere apology would have gone a long way. Perhaps management needs to reevaluate their training practices. The room was excellent and as expected. This is why I gave them 3 stars, based on the breakfast and especially the staff I would have given them 1 star. read more
