I visited here around 7:30 on a Saturday evening to return some thing that I had bought from the Greensboro location. I originally planned to stop back by the Greensboro location, but I wanted to stop by here again. I had came by here before when I first heard of Hamricks from my cousin. to me, it reminds me of a discount store like Burlington or TJ Maxx, or Big Lots. Most of the items are decently priced. I know that I got some shoes that were similar to Sperrys from here turn my first visit about 2 months ago. They have prescriptions to write the store. I noticed that many of the items does not have a price listed. The store is divided into different departments or areas. There is a sign above hanging from the ceiling to help guide you in case you want to go to a specific area. I browsed for a little bit just to see what they had. I had had no intentions on really buying anything, but you never really know. Check out can be a little difficult. The line starts in one of the aisles and supposed to go down it and around the right so that it loops around. I feel like they need to have an arrow pointing to the direction of the line because the sign is hanging from the ceiling doesn't make it very clear. I was standing thinking I was next in line, but really, I was not at all. Vanessa was the cashier who processes my return. It was a quick and easy process, and she was very friendly and polite. She stated everything that she was doing and how the refund would be processed. I use my credit card to make the purchase and I had needed it to get the refund. I grabbed the wrong credit card , so the right one was in my car. Nonetheless, I went to grab it from my car and she was patient until I returned. Many options here and I plan to return. read more

So if you're looking for another place that is better than a big lots isn't quite a HomeGoods or TJ Maxx has just a plethora of different things including clothing, HomeGoods, coffee mugs, toys, shoes, T-shirts, kitchen gadgets etc. this is your spot. It's on Peter's Creek in an old mall off to the side. Deals to be Had here - some stuff they always have some things they just get in on closeouts. I never really know what they're gonna have until we get there. They do run an ad in the Sunday Paper. Not everything they sell is gonna be high-quality and some things will be the same as seen on TV or things that I consider too cheap to purchase - some stuff really cool and you just have to look. Cheapskates delight at this place - I do laugh that they live to crank the price up on the tag so they can put things on a big sale - they have price checking scanners throughout the store that are accurate. Hint - a lot of times things are even cheaper then they are marked - regulars okay is this and are always price checking - they just ask that things you don't want you put back where you found it after scanning. I love the antique store next door as well. read more

It's one of those big department stores in the town I grew up in where you can find authentic Southern attire. I just knew this place would have an appropriate slip for a skirt I've sorely needed one for (news flash: not all women in white skirts want the entire world to see their underwear). I found the slip and fortunately it had an elastic waist to fit my tiny waist. See, another thing about authentic Southern attire is if you're a 0/2 like me, nothing here will fit you. Extra Small is a foreign concept here and at many other retail clothing stores in the region. Seems the skinny girls live elsewhere. Oh, well at least I got that slip and the woman manning the dressing room was nice to us as my mother and sister found more clothes that actually fit them. read more

Love Hamrick's. Shopping should be exciting and fun and Hamrick's delivers. You never know what you will find and the bargains can be outstanding. I am taking away one star because the regular prices of the home decor items are way beyond the norm, making the sale prices not much of a deal. Even my husband, who hates to shop, enjoys shopping here. read more
