The design process was super easy - I found a design on pinterest and sent a screenshot to Artin and he was able to replicate it exactly! I brought in some small diamonds from an old ring we had and he was able to use those in the earrings. I learned that purple jade is actually very hard to find - but the whole sourcing and design process only took a few weeks and he sent plenty of updates on progress. He was very kind, helpful, and informative throughout the whole process. Best of all - he gave me an estimate at the beginning of the process and **the final price was within the range of the estimate** - I was super appreciative of this because I have worked with another jeweler for custom jewelry before and they gave me one price as an estimate....and then the final price ended up being way above that. So I definitely appreciate that Artin stuck to the estimate he gave me despite how expensive materials and stones are these days! Artin is trustworthy, great with communication, and he does beautiful work. The earrings are very well made and they go wonderfully with the jade bangle. I can't wait to wear them on my wedding day! In my first visit to Elsie's. the proprietor had me leave it behind -- and parking on the nearby street on street sweeping day led to a $74 ticket. That was inconvenient to put it mildly. That was strange. Another jewelry repair would have done the quick fix right away. I felt he was aggrandizing his work so he could charge more. When I picked it up, I saw he fixed the one missing 'hook' leaving the other one in place, so now my earrings are asymmetrical. Who does that? It feels so cheap. A crafts person would never do that. He would change both. I was not blown away by another piece of work he did either. It was another cheap fix. Enough said. I tried the service and will not return. One hundred dollars later, every time I wear these earrings, Instead of fully enjoying them, I'll feel annoyed.

I have a ton of gold dipped jewelry and assumed these would last. 6 months later they have tiny brown rust/discoloration spots on different parts of the hoops and on the place you put them in (only took one side photo but spots are on both sides). I have never gotten them wet and only wore them like 3 times! They have mostly stayed in a jewelry box. So overall disappointed and won't be buying jewelry there again.

The price she quoted was decent and they didn't change it! She mentioned it was gonna take a bit more than week to have it fixed. That was fine, didn't need it right away. I called on the day she suggested I should check on it and it was ready! It'd be nice of they call you, but it's a small business!
