I had my first treatment 3 weeks ago and on that day, I could barely walk in with 'bone on bone' arthritis in both my knees. A few days prior, when I called to make the appointment, they sent me a link to fill out my medical history so I didn't need to fill out anything at the office, I just signed in. Dr. Chen asked me about what was hurting and where my pain was and he immediately started to needle. I've had extensive Acupuncture over the last 25 years (in another state) and Dr Chen inserts his needles so that you don't even feel them going in! I can honestly say with firm conviction, I walked out of there with not one stitch of pain! Of course, it doesn't last (in my case a few days) so I'll keep going until I get to back to maintenance. But I wanted to BLAST about what a gifted acupuncturist he is! Both he and his wife are kind and professional. Their office is very clean and they have quite a few rooms. However; the walls only go up to the drop ceiling so you can hear other patients but I just focus on the music playing and relax for about 20/25 minutes before he turns on the lights. He sometimes uses a tens unit and Chinese herbs and they accept insurance. I can't say enough wonderful things about him and his health center, especially when someone is helping to relieve pain.
