I could have spent hours there just doing that! I love bird watching and the walkways out into the park are perfect for that. At the end of a few of them they also have covered pergolas/gazebo like structures with a bit of seating and shade if you want to park for a while and watch. This is also ground zero for a lot of fishing, so it may be a bit more crowded an other parts of the park but on a bright, sunny day it's the place you'll want to be.

I also love that the playground is mostly covered which makes the sun or some drizzle not a big deal. There are some areas outside the playground to sit and eat. I'm not sure about the process for booking an area or if you have to, but it's a solid place for a party. This is now a weekend staple!

This park is very clean and well maintained and I have had many fun times, picnics, and adventures here over the years.
