I couldn't help but stand and watch how well he worked, careful footing, tiny pruning sheets, totalky enveloped in his toil. I bumped into a volunteer who told me a bit about the lake behind the main building, the picnic area, the baseball fields --- a sweetheart of a lady, and so generous with her time. I loved the tall pine trees and the pine straw bed they laid down around the picnic table area. We sat breathing in the sweetest air, observing peace -- absorbing tranquility, this is a wonderfully calming place.

Playground, fountain your kids and fog can run through, swing seats, elevated walking trails, beach area (small) , a ferry , and a great elevated bar. Parking will be your only complaint.

The second time was around in September and the mosquitos were as wild as ever - despite me wearing spray and long pants they tried to bite like crazy. Lots of kids and parents every time I have been here. The big downsides is that there needs to be a few more bathrooms, it's often a wait, and they need more seating, especially in the shade, and the seating isn't really comfortable. It's still a decent park and I'm glad it's here. J.Ja
