This year is a new principal, Ms. Cathy Jacobs is ridiculous! She offered me absolutely zero empathy or apology for any inconvenience to my circumstance. She simply repeated herself 3 times, as if I'm stupid or hard of hearing. I have enjoyed visiting with my children's teachers, peers, and most importantly my child at the end of the year holiday party. Apparently, there's a hard copy of a "News Letter" that I was suppose to receive and did NOT. I was suppose to get an email but got an email 2 day before the said event and the slots were full, when I sent 2 notes to the teacher 2 weeks prior to the event. My daughter said the teacher would email me and did not receive anything. This is not the first time that the lack of organization and communication has kept me from enjoying some time with my child. Oh and by the way, my email has not changed in 10 years! I am extremely dissatisfied with the principal her apparent lack of basic sense of humanity!

He has been…read moreto a daycare and an MDO program prior to this and liked them, but never was as happy to go to school as he is here. My favorite thing about them is the academic focus. They have a LOT of learning activities even in the short 9-1 day, plus playground time, lunch, and free play. He always wants to show me what he did that day before we even get to the car. His teacher is utterly fantastic and so professional with parents and fun with the kids. We are always greeted by more than one staffer on our way in and out of the building, usually referring to my son by name. The parental involvement and special activity days also make this school great!

She loves school more than anything, to have your child beg to go to school, happy every morning is priceless. Then, were so impressed with their handling of the pandemic in 2020 (we experienced no "covid learning loss"), it was an easy decision to stay on for the primary grades. And we have not been disappointed! We continue to have truly great teachers, that you can actually interact with every day at drop off and pickup and build relationships with them. I highly encourage anyone who is interested to schedule a tour or go to one of the open houses. Not only is it a charming environment, you will be amazed at how much more they manage to cover than just the basics. There is a focus on fine arts and performances, which are so great for confidence building. But they also get into robotics, go on cool field trips, and seem to have more fun events and activities than you might get in public school. The summer camp sessions are great, too! The only teacher who actually treated me the same as others was my pre-k teacher Mrs.Sudtelgte which I loved her she was the best. In kindergarten Mrs.lopez made my school life a living hell. My teachers were always rude to me and would treat me differently than others they would make mean comments to me and humiliate me in front of the whole class. When I was getting bullied no one ever helped or believed me. It's crazy you would think elementary teachers would treat their students better n try their best to make a good experience. No child should ever be treated differently no matter what race they are. And not to mention they took me out of my classes for esl so I stopped getting the help and extra time I needed which made my grades drop and made me start to struggle in school. Also Mrs.hicks was an awesome coach. School is supposed to be a safe place for learning not a hateful place especially for children.

I'm glad we did...we have found both the teaching and administrative staff to be top notch. I never question whether or not my child is getting an excellent education.
