Handsome Devil has been my barber shop since the beginning of the year. I hadn't gone to a barber shop for a while prior to finding this shop. It had great reviews and it's close to me so I gave it a shot and I've been going regularly ever since. The shop is laid back vibe and they are all very welcoming. There's usually a movie playing on the TV while I'm there. I usually call to set an appointment nowadays since they have a lot of regular customers. I've gotten my haircut from both Kevin and Manny and I'm always happy with the fresh cut afterwards from either of them. Also found out they accept Venmo as a payment now in case you don't have cash on you. Standard haircuts are $20. read more

So it was time to cut some hair off and TRIM my beard. I guess the person didn't understand how and what I really wanted. He ended up chopping my beard down to almost nothing. He's been a Barber for only 3 years and they all said he was the guy to go to for beards. It seems you have to made a reservation but they say walk ins are ok. There comes a time in every man's life he needs to...Get a haircut. For many of us, going to the local franchise is enough until you realize you can have a better quality cut at the same price. Hence the yelp search and my first meeting with Kevin. He's a friendly fellow who pays attention to what you want (as in a little off the top is exactly what you'll get instead of a buzz cut). He takes his time doing a clean cut and finishes off with an edge. The atmosphere is for the younger crowd with loud music streaming from his iPhone and a tupac poster on the wall. Very disappointing experience. Initially I liked them. My first appointment was good and I decided to start going regularly. When I made my second appointment with the barber Anthony, I told him that I was going out of town and asked him if he could take me before I was set to leave. He offered an appointment time on the morning of my departure, and I agreed. I show up the morning of my appointment and he never shows up. No call, no text (and he had my number), nothing. The other barber calls him and then tells me "Oh yea. He's not coming". No apologies, no explanation. No attempt to rectify the situation or acknowledge how that behavior reflects on his business. Except offering that I can make an appointment with him. Which of course he was booked so that wasn't helpful. This business has no interest in customer retention, and clearly has a lot to learn about customer service. Thankfully I didn't waste any further time or money at this "business". read more

I'm not going to lie, Glendora has surprised me as a destination that has great barbershops. Handsome Devil Barbershop definitely adds credibility to that statement. When my barber was unable to see me one day, I stumbled upon this shop thanks to Yelp and requested to have Kevin cut my hair. Kevin is not only a barber, he is an artist. He does such a great job and pays attention to every detail. There's something about getting a fresh haircut that makes me feel good about myself and I feel the best after visiting Kevin. I now live in Long Beach and don't get to make out to this shop as often as I'd like to but every so often, I make it a point to visit Kevin when I need a good pick-me-up or if I have a special occasion coming up. If you're in the area or you are willing to travel to the area, I most definitely suggest you give these shop and Kevin a try. They not take cards but prefer cash so stop by an atm before hand and remember to tip your barber. read more

The 2 dudes running the place are good. Stay away from the new guy! Worst haircut and shave I have ever experienced. Used the clippers to remove my beard, fine. He then took out an electric shaver and ran that on dry skin after I told him I wanted a straight edge razor shave. He reluctantly took out the razor and started dry shaving my face. This was his third time shaving me DRY! Wrecked my skin and I still have to go home and shave. The haircut was just as bad, uneven sideburns, no scissor skills, hair clippings all over - just plain bad. The extra star is for the past haircuts that have been good. read more
