As a wedding photographer, and after hearing advice from past brides, a good coordinator was at the…read morevery top of my list. The moment I met Krisanna, I knew she would make my dreams come true. I was chaotic and had no clear ideas, but I did have a few very hard requests: I wanted color, I wanted texture, and I wanted everything to be cohesive, all wrapped up in an intimate dinner party feel. Oh, and lots of string lights!! She was grounding throughout the entire planning process and made accommodations more times than I can count. Honestly, I've lost track of everything she pulled off. To give you a small taste: our guest list fluctuated so much that she spent hours reworking the schematics just to fit everyone in the reception space I had envisioned. Then we changed that layout again about a month ish before the wedding. I also completely changed the ceremony site on her two weeks before the big day. We were extremely late deciding on catering. And on top of all of this, I had a medical emergency that lasted two hours on the wedding day. It probably sounds like I was a bridezilla, but not once did she hesitate to be kind, gentle, and compassionate. She was so communicative and generous with her time, always answering messages promptly even when I would flood her phone with every intrusive thought or idea at the most ridiculous times of day. She didn't just take on the role of coordinator. She was my sounding board, my designer, my counselor when I needed to rant, my project manager, all the things, all at once. She even designed all of our stationery and day-of signage. Like, how? How can one person do it all?!?! So many people told me it was the best wedding they'd ever attended, and the design and flow of the day were immaculate- and that is in huge part thanks to her!! Krisanna, thank you so much. The day would not have been a fairytale if it wasn't for you!!!! -Mia, 2026 Bride

Srujana made my graduation complete! I had an idea to honor my relatives in a unique way on my…read moregraduation cap, but I knew I needed some artistic help. I found Menakshee Designs on Yelp and scheduled a call with Srujana. Srujana couldn't have been nicer and agreed to help me even though I only gave her a week's notice. She worked diligently throughout the few days we had to get my cap finished for graduation. In the end, my cap looked beautiful and I received many compliments. My family and extended family loved the design and we plan to have my cap framed now after Srujana's beautiful work. I highly recommend Srujana and plan to use her services again in the future.

For my wedding gift to my in-laws, I had an interesting idea: since a part of my wife's family is…read morefrom the Indian state of Kerala, I wanted to give them something meaningful, and get a calligraphy print of my mother-in-law's favorite Bible verse written in Malayalam (the primary language spoken in Kerala). However, I ended up frustrated after reaching out to various calligraphers with no success. I ran into roadblock after roadblock, as Malayalam is not an incredibly widespread language and most calligraphers A. don't take commissions in languages that use different scripts than English, or B. are willing to try it, but for a much higher price and with no guarantee that the finished product will turn out as expected. After months of searching, I was referred to Menakshee Designs by another calligrapher who had been unable to take the commission, but said that Srujana may be able to help me. A few weeks later, I had two completed prints that were miles above anything I thought I would be able to have done. Srujana did such an amazing job. The customer service and attention to detail was astounding throughout the whole process, from ensuring that the commission was completed, shipped out, and received on time (even when it was on short notice) to making thoughtful suggestions like including a specific type of flower significant in Indian weddings - something that I wouldn't have even considered! Through every step of the way, she was communicative and offered me options so that she was sure the work was exactly what I wanted. My in-laws (and grand-in-laws!) were thrilled when I gave them the finished product, and they have gotten nothing but compliments on the framed prints that they now have hung up as a centerpiece in their living room. This was six months ago, so this review is much later than it should have been (the months after a wedding can be hectic!), but I wanted to do my part to support and draw attention to this amazing artist. I would not hesitate to urge anyone who is looking for amazing customer service and outstanding results to give Menakshee Designs your business, and I will be doing the same to every member of my wife's large family once wedding season starts in a few months!! Thank you for everything, Srujana - I'm looking forward to having the opportunity to work with you again.

I only bought two little pens and a sewing pattern, and I'm not even sure what the subtotal was. I assumed it was 75c with tax, so just in case I pulled out two dollars. The lady told me "I need 4 cents." I thought she meant the total was $1.04, so I told her "Oh I don't have coins, I'll pay with card so you don't have to make change." She gave me a pointed look and said, "...then I'll have to charge you an extra 50c" I was super confused, but that was fine. I thought it over a little, and then she told me, "Your total is only 96c" Totally fine, I gave her one dollar and told her to keep the change. Usually... you tell the customer their total and they can figure out what to give you. Not a weird vague comment. She's not mean, she helped me find a nearby bathroom, and she told another customer she's worked at a paint store before, so I think she's just... odd. I think staff needs a little more consistent training, it was somewhat uncomfortable.
