I contacted them because all their reviews were so positive. I have a 3,200 Sq ft attic that has been a hotel to my numerous feral cats/kittens and a few opossums and raccoons for 15 yrs now! They destroyed all the insulation and the heating/air ducting You ask how did this happen, well if you have ever dealt with a large group of feral cats that breed like rabbits, it becomes overwhelming very quickly especially when you don't even know they are up there! Well, we are finally down to two cats living up there so we knew IT WAS TIME TO GET THE ATTIC CLEANED UP, NEW INSULATION AND DUCTING AND THEN CLOSE IT UP FINALLY! I called three contractors expecting them all to turn down the job and I couldn't blame them if they did! Fortunately, SCI - Simons Const was the first company I called. Ryan answered the phone and said he would be out the next da1y to look at it. He went up into the attic and when he came back down he said YES, they would do the job and he explained in full detail to me what they needed to do and how they were going to do it! He also sent me a detailed bid THAT NIGHT and explained a lot of things can come up once it's cleaned up like wiring and structural issues. Obviously these would be added costs but I was informed by Don, who was amazing and worked like a supervisor along with all the crew, every step of the way if they saw anything that was a concern! I could never say enough GOOD THINGS ABOUT DON!!! He always kept me informed what they were doing, when they would be here and he always made sure they were not interrupting my daily activities! He always kept Ryan in touch of what was going on and then Ryan would call or text me too to make sure I knew what was going on! I tell you, THESE GUYS ARE ON IT and SO EASY TO WORK WITH!!! They also had to keep in touch with my heating/air Co, the insulation Co and my roofers because they had to cut holes in my roof to take out all the old insulation and ducting so we could put in the new stuff! Ryan suggested putting together a group text with everyone's numbers so that EVERYONE KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON AND WHEN, IT KEPT THE PROJECT RUNNING SMOOTHLY AND ON TIME ​The entire project only took 1 month but it felt like it was just a couple of weeks because everyone was so efficient and fortunately there were no unforseen issues I could go on forever about SCI - Simons Const, Ryan, Don and the wonderful crew but all you really need to know is THEY ARE THE BEST at least from my experience in every way!!! So easy to work with, honest reliable and they REALLY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND THEIR WORK SPEAKS FOR ITSELF! He didn't install the included moisture barrier until I insisted after running the dishwasher caused an adjacent wood cabinets to stick shut. The electrical connections looked sketchy to me although James assured me they were fine - but later an electrician had to completely rework them, saying not only were they were not to code, they posed a fire hazard. James' attitude was cavalier when I informed him of the rework.

When finished the tech l, Landon didn't offer to show me the work and I had to say well let me see how it looks. I feel like he knew I was not going to be happy with it. Unfortunately the replacement miter cut window frame was not measured long enough so there was a 1/4" gap at corner. And the plastic frame pieces were not pushed in smoothly. In the center there were 2 shoved in areas and wrinkles. But it was just the huge gaping corners that shocked me. Clearly not cut long enough I'm used to working with contractors on home projects and I just tried to politely ask why he would do an install like this. And we recently had all new vinyl windows installed which is pretty much the same method where they cut the vinyl to miter and fit the corners of windows to seal it up, which is a similar process. Anyway I do feel that I understand how it was done . Just not why it was done so sloppy for lack of a better word. In future I would use this company again if a different tech was sent out. If I hadn't said anything I would have been upset with myself for not speaking up and asking why it looked so bad. Thankfully it's on the inside but I still expect it to look good inside or out. But thankfully the outside of window is good. I don't think the outside frame was popped out like the inside had to be. Anyway it was unfortunate. In response to manager comment: To correct your statement. !!!! Landon did not use the existing old that were perfectly mitered window frame clips that hold glass in. He showed me a long piece of stock and said he cut new ones because he destroyed the existing when he pried them off the window. That's where the problem comes from. He cited new pieces too short leaving huge 1/4" gaps at corners looking really sloppy and unprofessional !! He left the top piece old but added new badly cut short pieces on bottom and sides. They were cut too quickly without properly measuring and miter corners did not come close.
