Handy.com is a borderline scam. I've attempted to book a Handy "Pro" several times. Handy charges you up front, books your appointment then cancels your appointment 1/2 hour before the appointment time. They then, reschedule the appointment without your consent & the "Pro" would "not show up to work the day of your appointment again. It gets better, I requested a refund after missing 2 days of work & they gave me a 3 hour runaround on the phone, before they said they would refund me in 5 business days. After 5 days, they refunded only part of the amount I paid them for the job. DO NOT USE HANDY.COM. They are running a scam & should be investigated read more

I found this company in yelp and I couldn't me more happy . Everything so far they have done in my apartment has been perfect . Very professional. I scheduled Handy to clean my home before guest arrived. On June 19th they confirmed the cleaning service for the 21 at 12:30. At 10am on the 21st they reconfirmed my appointment. At 12pm they text me and cancelled my appointment due to someone calling out of work. They rescheduled for the 23rd. My guest were arriving the evening of the 22nd. I rescheduled for the afternoon of the 22nd. They were due at noon. At 10:14 they confirmed my appointment via text. No one ever showed up. At 1:18 I called them and cancelled because of a no show. After over an hour on the phone and transferred back and forth between the sales team and the customer support team I was not able to book my service. When asked to speak with a supervisor or a manager, I was told by the customer service representative by the name of Donna that there was no-one available after 5 PM. Hard to believe a call center operates without oversight! After entering my zip code, their website changed the name of the town to a town an hour from mine, when trying to fix it, it wouldn't allow me to edit the field/town name. It also didn't allow the sales people to edit the field and the customer service representative was absolutely no help. The frustration level with this company is very high and it is very disappointing the we're not able to help. It is also very misleading and sneaky for the name of the town to be incorrect after the zip code has been entered and the cancellation fees would have applied if I didn't noticed. I had Handy come to my my place and clean. They sent 2 people who spoke NO English at all. They had to keep calling someone to get questions answered and they did not do a good job. 1. They ruined my toilet seat, by using chemicals that stained it permanently and will not acknowledge or fix. 2. They did not clean my oven, although they left chemicals in my oven but never cleaned it, although they were specifically shown and requested to clean it. 3. They left my sectional sofa in pieces in my living room. (This was all after I had major surgery and wasn't able to check things out thoroughly until after they left) They then auto booked for two weeks later - Memorial Day. They sent me an email saying they couldn't do Memorial Day I cancelled (more than their 24 hour policy) and was charged for a cancellation fee, and another cleaning. I have contact customer service several times, they WILL NOT REFUND MY MONEY - THEY GAVE ME A $20 CREDIT OFF MY NEXT CLEANING THERE WILL BE NO MORE CLEANINGS USING HANDY. THIS IS TERRIBLE AND NO WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS. I am now disputing charges with my credit card company. read more

Not only do they exaggerate what needs to be fixed, they do not even give high quality of work. You were warned. Actually Brian (the worker), I was there when you came to fix Natlie's wall/sink and I was the one that informed her you smell like Cigarettes and ripping her off. Because she gave an honest feedback about your work, you gave her a fake review on her law page. So I took it upon myself to also give social media a review of your work. I'm not spreading lies. Do not use this company!!!! I set an appointment 3 weeks out, then a week before they were supposed to come I got a text saying that they rescheduled me to an additional 2 weeks out. The new appointment was 2 days before Christmas when I was out of town. There was no call to reschedule for a time that works for me. There wasn't even any form of an apology, just you have this new appointment time. I tried to call to complain and see if they could find a time that worked but hung up after 30 minutes on hold. Brian is not a "handyman" but rather a general contractor. He can hang a fan , paint a fence or build your new house. For us, he installed a hanging garage shelf, added several electric outlets, installed a new faucet, centered our chandeliers, re configured our closet and Diagnosed & repaired a leak in our master bath shower. Bottom line, finished what a handyman left us hanging out to dry on. Call him, get a quote and decide for yourself but give him the chance to bid. read more

A truly outstanding company! I sent a Yelp Request to replace the kitchen faucet in my rental property and Brian got back to me in less than 10 minutes! He was available same day but I didn't have the new faucet yet so we scheduled for the following Monday at 9:30 AM. Impressively, Nick arrived early at 9:00 AM ready to work! I appreciated that Nick was early, and also very conscious about cleaning up the work area after he completed the faucet replacement. I had a Holy Cow, 911 level crisis that HAD to be repaired in within 3 days, or I faced having my homeowner's insurance cancelled. Brian came when I called, showed up himself, gave me an extremely reasonable estimate, had his crew show up on time, and then cranked out the work in about half the time than estimated, all with a FLAWLESS level of execution. He was even able to match the existing tile in my bathroom to perfection! On top of that, he's a super friendly and amicable dude, as are his crew. Brian came to look at the work I needed done and we agreed he would do it. He had to come multiple times to complete the work and always came as promised. He completed all the work except to patch holes in the wall that his electrician left. He told me he would be back to complete that and do some other jobs I had added to the list. Once he was paid for the first job without patching the wall I never heard from him again. He installed a ceiling fan which is not flush to the ceiling and when we turned it off the other night to reverse the direction we realized that the switch to do this was on the opposite side of where the hole was. We had to take the fan down to get the switch lined up with the hole. What he did was good work but once he got paid he is gone. Do not pay until you have inspected all the work that should have been completed. read more

Brian and his team installed two attic vents in my house. One guy was on a two story ladder while the other guy was in the attic. Cut a hole, cut around joists, re-support the joists, fasten everything in place and caulk and touched up the paint. While they were in the attic they found some duct tape that was coming loose from the hvac handler. So they re-wrapped it with heavy duty foil backed hvac tape that they had in their work van. They did a great job at a great price. read more

He was able to come out within a few days of my call which was very convenient. He uses an online system to prepare an estimate, have you approve it, then pay with a credit card at the end.
