Visit any other store. I was trying to purchase a "Ryobi Days" Buy 1 Get 1 deal. The item would not…read morediscount at the register and after almost 30 minutes and 3-4 associates attempting to figure out why the discount wouldn't go through, "Mike" showed up. Keep in mind all of those associates individually confirmed the SKU #s of the items I was purchasing lined up with deal. Mike told me "it's an online only deal" and walked away. He offered to comp about half of the item that was supposed to be free. I left and found the deal in "store mode" on the Home Depot app and called Mike back over to show him that the deal is available in store as well. He told me to "take it up with corporate". He also told me to order online and wait for the order to process for 15 minutes. You'd think if I can stand in the store and order the deal online, he could use his mighty manager powers to honor the deal in store as well. He chose not to. I was in restoration heaven. I'm honestly impressed that I only walked away with a few Art Deco handles and a bourbon barrel stave from Pappy Van Winkle. And the prices? Completely reasonable and very competitive for authentic vintage pieces. I'm renting at the moment, but my husband and I are planning to purchase a home next year, and I'm already very much looking forward to revisiting Village Salvage when we do.
