I enjoyed meeting Jesus and his father, Manny. They came to my property quickly since I needed a quick turnaround on several projects. I was eager to consider working with them based on their prompt initial response and communication, but they've vanished. The irony is that they were talking about how most handymen/companies in our area are undependable (except for them). They told me they would send a quote to me that night and haven't responded to any calls, texts, or Yelp messages since. I hired these guys with a timeline of 1 month to finish very minor work before a family vacation. They didn't deliver and blamed it on them "never seeing stuff like they did on my job" haha. In my opinion, I feel like I was ripped off. He only got through half of my list that he quoted me on before he decided he wasn't being paid enough. (Over $10,000 for minor work that was already done and just needed to be touched up) he's not returning my calls or texts, now taking legal action I hired Jesus for a "finish work" job. He left my job incomplete, paid over $10,000 to get things done at a very unprofessional level. He tried to ask me for more money to come back and finish because it's taking him an extra day of his time he didn't anticipate on. (Not on me) and left me with unpainted doors, big gaps in between tiles, blinds that I paid for that were never installed or left at property (Stolen) and put my touch up paint work on the back burner that never got done which was one of the main reasons he was hired. Exceptional work and fair prices. Last year I hired people to replace wood flooring in a toilet/shower tiny room and I was ripped off six thousand dollars! I even had to go buy the tile and grout materials myself! I let my own bathroom project and my fences and woodworking projects wait because who can you trust? Jesus and his father were an answer to my prayers. All three projects were completed in days instead of weeks , for almost half the cost as before. We live in Beaumont, and anyone who's here knows the wind gusts can be pretty rough. They repaired my fence and did it right. I've had other people come and do fixes that I thought would last, but they were short lived. They explained how there needed to be more of a support system and added extra posts. LESS THAN 1 STAR!!! This is a team of lying misfits! They came into my home to do a job that came out tacky tacky tacky!!! They kept extending the timeline!! Promising to show up mornings or certain days and not showing up or calling, saying they needed to take other jobs when they were hired to do My job!!! They used crappie cheap materials that was not what I paid them for! !! The work was deceiving where they did not even paint some areas and didn't know what they were doing with baseboards! They could not afford to focus on my home because they were busy taking on other jobs and kept trying to ask for payments in advance!! They would continue to lie saying we are sorry and we will be there!! Even though the dad almost seemed somewhat apologetic for all the foolishness and apparent lack of common sense that his son had These people were clearly trying to take advantage of my kindness!! And on the last day before I fired them, they still tried to leave work to correct so that they could come back and try to get more of my money!! It was not about to happen!! Immoral unethical fake wannabe contractors!! Take heed people, these are crooks! They could not produce any receipts from what was paid on materials and I had already told them to bring them to me multiple times. Jesus kept saying oh I'm going to bring them back tomorrow and that tomorrow never came. They messed up more stuff than they fixed!! So I'm having their work corrected!!! They not only gave me the best quote, but they walked me through all of the work they would be doing, which gave me confidence that they would be doing it right. The wood fencing from my dad's small 4-unit apartment was falling apart especially after a bout of strong winds. Over the course of several weeks, I contacted several fence places to schedule estimates but was unsuccessful. Some places didn't respond, some were no-shows, and some had appointments far into the future. Not only did Jesus respond right away, he showed up on time the following morning to take measurements and was able to provide me with a bid the same day. I chose Jesus out of three different bids I received. He gave me a time frame for when he could start and how long it would take to complete. We had a bee problem in our attic and had reached out to a couple of pest control companies for estimates. The other companies were only offering to kill the bees, removing them and the hive would be extra and they wouldn't repair the house structure they would need to remove to get to the hive. Well, here comes Handyman Duenas to save the day! They came in to do an estimate and let us know they'd be able to kill, remove, and repair at a reasonable price. When asked when would they be able to do it, they said right now. So they got the job done, took care of a few wasp nests we had as well and gave us some insights on what to look out for (we just bought the house so they let us know what to look out for potential future pests). Great father and son team, reliable, and hardworking. Hired for external painting, interior painting, replacement of dryer vent, and construction of new crawl space door. They paid attention to detail and I can tell they both take pride in their work. For example, one of our interior walls had several large cracks in the plaster near the fire place that had developed over time; they were able to skillfully patch, sand, and paint the wall to the point that the cracks were completely unnoticeable. They also performed excellent stucco repair on the house siding. They especially had an eye for pest proofing improvements and built a wooden crawl space cover door with shingles that served to water proof the crawl space as well.
