We had to replace a few circuits that were fried and decided to do a full breaker box maintenance (to prevent this from happening again) because it probably hadn't been serviced...ever...in 25 years. Nick went far over and above expectations. He threw in upgrading a garage outlet while he was here and put in a whole house surge protector at a very discounted rate since we went with the full breaker box maintenance package. Our breaker box now looks and works like it is brand new. His work comes with a two year warranty! Nick was extremely personable and honest. I added him to my contacts because we will be contacting him with any future electrical issues. In short, there is a reason for all of the five star reviews, you will rate him with 5 stars as well when call him for service, I guarantee it!

After checking the attic, he also discovered some problematic wiring and conditions involving the subpanel. He recommended running new wiring and replacing a damaged breaker in the attic panel, which would not only fix the problem but provide a much safer setup and help prevent potential hazards like an electrical fire. The price was fair, and the work took about two hours, just as he estimated. He worked diligently the entire time without taking a break. I honestly felt bad for him being up in our attic because it had to be easily 120° up there! I offered him water throughout the job, which he graciously accepted. Before leaving, Daniel also gave me an estimate to upgrade our existing breaker box. These guys don't know what they're doing most of the time. I rented from a property management…read morecompany that used Rivco as their primary handymen/contractor, so I've had a lot of experience with them and their repairs. This company does not conduct themselves like professionals. They show up late, cancel/reschedule at the last minute, and on one occasion didn't show up and didn't respond to multiple calls until two days later. When they do arrive, it's common for them not to be ready to work even though they've been there before and know what needs to be done. I have so many stories about their shoddy repairs, but I'll just focus on one to give you an example of their incompetence. For a single leak in the bathtub that was causing damage to our wall they set 14 appointments with us. No, that's not a typo. 14 separate appointments over six months. More than half of those were for them to come in, take pictures, and inspect the damage (even though we sent them pictures by email). They sent four different guys to look at it and they didn't share pictures with each other, so each guy had to assess and take pictures of the damage all over again. Why? Why? It's just a effing leak! Two times they made repairs and said it was fixed only for us to have the same problem a few months later. After one fix they brought in loud, high powered fans to run all weekend to dry out the moisture on the wall. On another similar fix apparently no fans were needed? It was so ridiculous that we brought in another plumber to check it out. He said he could have the work done in a day from start to finish. I can't even describe the insane amount stress this company has caused my wife and I over the years. They kept calling her at work to schedule appointment after appointment, while I had to take off work early to let them in just to watch them do nothing to repair the problem. They weren't our contractor, so we couldn't just fire them get another company to work on it. The leak needed to be fixed, so we had to put up with them bumbling around. It was obvious they didn't know anything about plumbing. One guy even asked me where the leak was coming from. Uh, somewhere in the pipe? How would I know, dude. Isn't that your job? You're the supposed to be the professional. Keep in mind that this was just one repair of many. If you value your sanity and care about the condition of your property I wouldn't work with this company ever.

Here are some examples: Changed a faucet that dripped for YEARS that I was told was not fixable. Not only was it not dripping but he closed up the rusty old hole and made the tile look like the hole was never there. Had the uuuugliest fluorescent light in the living room, like "Joe vs the volcano" level, he replaced it, made it look like it was just all a bad dream. He replaced and fixed the kitchen door so it was even with the floor, when the door would open it would get stuck because the floor was not even, so he did some mathematical engineering and got it to work. He stabilized the dried out wooden pergola over the patio with wood and new metal supports so it didn't have to be torn down, saved a lot of money. He was able to design and construct from scratch a gorgeous washer and dryer enclosure that replaced a UGLY UGLY termite eaten shed that disintegrated when you barely touched it, rusted nails coming out, doors falling off the hinges. Throughout the process, he was very communicative, asking questions that involved functional design, placement, aesthetics. Even matched the hardware to the fences, which really was supercool. He also replaced a variety of ceiling fans, ceiling lights, bathroom faucet, drain, lights, kitchen drains, electrical plugs, fix a fence, and problem solve regarding how to hide wires, electrical cords.
