Unable to provide a detailed proposal that meets insurance company needs so I would not recommend them. I even tried to help them with it and they were unable to review my notes and put it in their proposal. They then questioned my character when I was tried to work with them on this and that the money would come to me first, they assumed that I would pocket the money... I just had my first experience with these guys. Professional, prompt, friendly, and affordable. Sure, I'm girly when it comes to home repair, but my technician Lee didn't laugh at me for it. He fixed my steps so I don't break a leg whilst entertaining, and installed my new storm door just in time for me to give it a test. I called this company for a bid, for a Veteran. The guy came but not at scheduled time. He came near 11.30 am. The scheduled appointment was between 3.30 n 4.30 pm. Good thing he called to make sure I was home. Then he was supposed to send me the estimate, the bid. He never did. I called on the 6th day I called the company n left message. The girl said someone would call back. They never did. I see on review that someone else had same guy as me with a bad review of him also, his name is Mark. I for sure won't do business with this company. I also got a referral from this company, that other people had used this company for Veterans. I will take to the person in charge of the list n make sure this company name is taken of the list. This company is not dependable at all !!! What a refreshing change! A contractor that does a good job at a good price. OMG, you wouldn't believe the experiences I have had with trying to find people to do jobs like painting, door work, molding etc... These guys are a blessing and deserve a 5 star rating. I found out later that this company was literally started; because the owner wanted to start a company because he was being "dicked around" (excuse my language)... DON'T WASTE Your Time! I had an appointment with Mark on 6/13 that he called to confirm the time that morning - and he still NEVER showed up. Very frustrating as I had to make special arrangements to leave work early. I called him and he never returned my call. Then I left a message with the answering service - who promised that he would call me the next morning to reschedule - and again he NEVER called back. I will try very hard to be factual rather than emotional; but my experience with Handy pro was unprofessional, disrespectful, and vindictive. On August 20, 2015 a Handy Pro serviceman came to do various minor tasks on the façade of my home which estimated at $372.50 to complete. It was the lowest of three other estimates. The work included the following: * power wash the siding in the front of the home * caulk along the vertical seams in the front of the home * re-caulk where the cement porch and the siding meet along the ground (my primary concern as an entry way for pests) * re-attach loose shutters and missing screws He called and confirmed his appointment and arrived to do the work agreed upon in the estimate. He did the power was first but left to attend to another matter and came back in an hour or so. This was fine because everything needed to dry before he did the caulking. A couple of hours later he announced he was done. Upon my inspection I noticed that there was no caulking at all along the cement along the ground as I requested. There were dirty streaks coming down the siding in various places; haphazard caulking on the seams and caulk mixed with dirt that was never washed off. When I explained this he him he became defensive, evasive, and said I never told him during the estimate that I wanted caulk along the cement and the siding. He also said there's not supposed to be anything there because "water trapped behind the siding needs to be able to run off at the bottom". It got quite ugly and his tone was disrespectful. I explained let's just stop the back and forth and lame excuses and that this was not going to end well. I said let's get a supervisor on the phone and see how we can resolve this. He says "well the rental for the power was $75; give me that and I'll leave". I was glad to do it and handed him a check. I would have let it go at that but out of spite and vindictiveness; he doubled back and removed the screws in the shutters that he replaced! Wow, really?
