If I could give zero stars I would! Absolutely terrible experience. We had these guys come out in October 2025 to fix our garage as some of the wheels came off of the track. We paid them a good amount of money to fix it. After they "fixed" it, we noticed a weird sound every time we closed the door. Fast forward to this week, and our garage door broke again. The wheels came off of the track again. We called them back out, thinking some of it should be covered as they were the last ones to work on it. They charged us another $300. The entire time the tech was here, he was on a phone call, cussing and yelling at whoever was on the phone. He was irritated and was obviously not paying attention to what he was doing. The next morning - as we went to close the garage, it broke again. For some reason, the tech used one extra long wheel which caused the garage to go cock-eyed and go off the tracks again. We called them back out - and they said they wouldn't cover it because the break was due to needing new springs. They wanted another $700! Less than 24 hours after they "fixed" it!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! We called CJ Garage - and they were fantastic!!!! Said we did NOT need new springs, and agreed that it was a total hack job. They actually fixed it for less than any of our payments to Haney!!! Haney is TERRIBLE. read more

Haney Garage Door's I would never use Haney Garage Doors again. I spent about $7k with Haney Garage Doors. I had to have them come out two time to after the install to fix poorly installed doors. Today I was installing some light in my garage and saw this, see pictures. I call Haney and asked for them to come out and warranty this poorly installed doors. I was told it would cost me $175 because they installed it over a year ago. They were super responsive when my husband left a message for them after our garage door broke, and they came out quick to inspect it and gave us a reasonable price on a brand new door. What I really appreciated as well is that the salesperson who showed up didn't try to upsell us on a fancy door model and have us buy all new parts that weren't necessary...only a few parts that were damaged that needed replacing. The workers were very good. But the manager was awful. Paid over $800 for new motor in the ceiling. I didn't know my car garage door opener would no longer work. I am 78, been a widow for many years and did not think about it until I pulled in my car. The rude manager said I should have asked the repairman while he was there, I would now be charged $150 to have someone come and help me. I told the manager, the repairman should have let me know, it was my first motor replacement in 25 years. We argued. I also recently had chain replaced two months prior for $700. Installed new door poorly. Door was louder than our previous door. Came out and said everything was fine. Then we realized the door would open when shutting. We called and they wanted to give us a quote since the sensors were not installed by them (but they removed and put back after installation). We ended up calling Local Garage Door which we had used in the past. They came out, tightened a cable, set the motor to the previous settings and even though we had to pay more at least it is fixed. read more

What a joke. I spent over $3000 on a new garage system two years ago, and I asked the technician to come back out because the sensor wiring appeared disconnected, and my door was no longer shutting consistently. Tech came out, wiggled the sensor, and told me $300. I asked him why, and he said that he wanted to lubricate my door and replace the sensor. I told him I need you to reconnect the sensor. He would not do that as he was here. I looked on the Internet, and it is a $30 part. This is not OK. We have asked him to disregard our request, and we will no longer be going to Haney's doors. I removed the electrical tape myself to see if I can fix it and to no surprise, they didn't properly connect it in the first place. Watch out for price gouging. read more

The spring on our garage door broke. I called Haney Door Service in the morning and was able to get someone out to fix it that afternoon. Mike was great to work with. He was polite and friendly. I wish to amend my previous review of Haney Garage Door Company, yes I had some problems with the install and operation of the motor/door . When I called, they promptly sent out a service agent (2x) to address the problem. I learned that my previous unit (motor 40+ years old) did not require a dedicated outlet (on all the time) while the new one does according to California code, plus a battery backup. I ran an extension cord (12ga) to a dedicated outlet- problem solved- opens and closes with or without garage lights on. There are a few minor gaps, due to age of the garage, shifting and settling , and honestly I backed into it once or twice, Mike showed me some filler "gaskets" that can conceal the gaps. I opted not to get them. The final problem was the door constantly telling me something was in the path of the closing door. The sensors checked out, but Mike found a loose wire at the motor. Reconnected and works fine. All in all, the folks at Haney Garage Door company go out of their way to correct any and all problems, they are just a phone call away and are only too happy to come out and fix and all problems. Do not ever use Haney Door service. They have hands down the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. They were extremely rude and unprofessional. We bought a new garage door and after install it looked absolutely awful. We asked about colors and they said they have white which is what we were looking for. Come to find out it is high gloss white, the house paint is flat, it looked horrible and cheap. None of that was discussed, even when we said great that will match the house they failed to say it's high gloss, it looks like the side of a fiberglass trailer. The door had grease from the installers hands all over it, the window inserts did not fit properly, there are holes on every corner. The windows after installed were extremely dirty with stuff all over them. Called them back out and all they did is say there's nothing they can do, it's a great door. I said it looked terrible and said you have to paint it, the finish of the color was not disclosed and the door covers a quarter of the front of the house. They would not budge. As for the inserts they said there's nothing we can do. We spent thousands on this door and it looks worse than our old door. I asked Dan the manager to talk with someone else higher up in the company and he claims there is no one else. I'm going to keep digging because this is wrong and to be out thousands of dollars for an ugly door. read more

These guys are the best in the area! They do it all. Our local Company (Woodland-Davis) would not covert my mom's small garage door back to what is was originally. Haney did it quickly and professionally. Same with spring replacement on my home. The other guys put the wrong size springs, then didn't have time to fix it. Handy came out opened the door so we got the cars out and came back and installed a new door with the proper springs! Today, someone pranked us and made an appointment. Lucky for us, our door needed a service. But it kind of freaked us out. That was pretty awesome! So if you live in Woodland or Davis! These are the professionals you want! After requesting maintenance from our rental company Homeriver, Haney Door Service came the very next day to complete our initial inspection. They were prepared to fix the garage door the same day but simply needed to submit the estimate for approval. NOT THEIR FAULT, but they werent given the green light and were sent home. 2-3 months later, after having to file a formal complaint about my rental company itself for not allowing timely repairs, Homeriver finally accepted the quote. This morning i receive a call from John, super sweet, very friendly and eager to help me get this garage door taken care of!!!!! When he arrived he installed new garage opener and was done in 5 minutes. 30 minutes after he left it stopped working again I called office manager John. He said he can someone out there but it would be additional cost. They had already charged me $150. Now they want $500 plus to come service my door. Dealing with these folks in the beginning seemed ok. They did a full service on the garage door and fixed some rivets. They also installed a garage door opened. Fast forward to today. For some reason the garage door just started closing while I was backing up the door sensors didn't stop the door from closing down on the car. Luckily the car was not damaged but the will not stand behind their work or product. They send someone out here and he looked and at it and got said it was the garage door spring that they had just serviced and said it was good for another 2 years. He then got in his truck and drove off. After that I spoke to Dan the owner and he was just as rude and unprofessional saying they were not going to replace their faulty product and not going to fix the garage door. Now it stuck open and there is a storm coming. I would never deal with this company and trust my family's safety to them at all. Doing business with this company is a 100% risk. Read all the reviews. If you want to pay double for a part and labor this is your company. I will say they were available same day to replace a broken spring. The unfortunate part was the cost. After the fact we found out it could have been done at half the cost. No wonder I felt like the guy wanted to leave quickly after he was done. We'll have to wait and see if the spring holds up and was installed well. Somehow the garage door lift motor went out when the spring broke. A quote was to be sent but haven't received one yet. The representative came out to give me a free estimate. He quoted me $1500 to replace the top section of my garage door. I told him that I was going to get another estimate, and I thought his price was high. After some time, he came back and said he would discount it to $1300 if I would order it today. (Doesn't this sound like the old car salesman?) I asked him if this was the best he could do, and he said yes, so I decided to have him order the section of the door, giving him a check for $650 deposit. The next day, I got another estimate, which was $500 less. I then proceeded to call Haney's and tell them what my estimate was, and they forwarded me to the service manager, and I told him that if he couldn't match the price, I wanted a refund of my deposit. He told me to forward the quote to him. A few days later, I called him back, and he advised me that they would match the price. The service manager was great in matching the price, and the installer, Jose, was also great in making the extra effort to make sure that I was satisfied with his work. I would have given Haney's a higher rating if it weren't for the representative, and because of him, I wouldn't recommend Haney's to my friends. Why was the first quote $700 more? Haney has a wonderful installer foreman, and he is a powerhouse. My almost $5k retro two-door garage door was very heavy due to the construction including all the bells and whistles of high-performance windows and high-rating insulation. The job required two people and there is a slight up charge in that scenario because basic garage doors can be installed with just one very strong person. I was flabbergasted as I saw two strong men do this install even as the weight of the door was seemingly crushingly heavy. Hats off to these gentlemen. The company is a folksy, down home type of long-family owned affair in our area. You can order your directly from them or turn to the big box hardware store if you're in need of the 24-month, zero interest promotions offered by the latter. Also, Clopay, the manufacturer of these expensive doors, offers sales twice a year, I believe. I missed the sale but proceeded anyway as I'd been anxious to do this upgrade to my 1955 home for many years. I chose all white, big barnyard X pattern in relief, and all the eco-friendly touches for better insulation, etc. my home originally had this pattern in the year it was built, and it's a birdhouse ranch in terms of the architectural period, so I wanted to conserve that look. I added windows for balance even though windows in garage doors were few and far between in the mid-1950s. read more

Poor service and worst yet was threatened by the owner to leave with no garage door. So on Oct 14,see picture attached, I scheduled online through Haneys website for a quote on an INSULATED garage door. Shortly after scheduling they called me and said they had an opening Monday and asked if I would like that, I agreed. Danny came out to do the bid, first question he asked was if I had a door in mind, I stated just a basic insulated garage door. He then started taking measurements. Due to some head room I wanted a garage door opener but that wasn't possible. Not a deal breaker, I knew it might possibly be an issue. After Danny did some math he gave me a quote. which included the door, weather stripping, new rails and a new spring. Price was about $400 more than other place I had gotten quote from so I asked about repair option, Danny stated about 700 but noted because of a few things he couldnt be positive it would be a total fix. I then stated well heck after I add insulation myself I am then at the cost of a new door he then agreed yeah at that point its not really worth it. So he called the supply house to make sure they could get the 1 18 inch panel that they didnt have in stock( they had the rest which made it more appealing) After he confirmed we were good to go I paid the deposit. A week later Haney arrives to install the door, they go about tearing down my old door. After they get all the old door and parts out of the way they started on the new door.... When I realized it was just a basic door NO INSULATION. I dont say a word to the installers, I immediately call Haneys where the woman said she will get in contact with Danny. About 20 minutes later someone else with the name Danny but not the same Danny who did the bid said they didnt bid for an insulated door. If it would have been insulated it would have been months out. I told him well insulated is what I asked for. His "compromise" was I pay an additional $500 and they will install insulation. I was like why should I pay for something I should have already received I mean what options does that leave me? Contact the State license board or small claims court? That isnt the option I want to go with but I am not seeing much hope. His reply to that was well the other option is I can tell my guys to pack up and go home. Which would leave me with no garage door at all. I then hung up because I didnt want to start cursing him out. Danny called back a few minutes later thinking we got cut off, I told him no I hung up because I am P.O. especially after his threat. He then said well I want you to be happy maybe we can meet half way. I said Ill think about it. After about another hour his guys were done and they inform me that the 18" piece almond not white....................... And the office will be in contact with me when they can make sure they get the part in and schedule to have it fixed. I waited a week with no word before I messaged them and they responded they will have it in on Wed of the next week. They came out no issue and replaced that top panel. But of course now here I am with essentially the same exact door with no insulation as I had prior but with new hardware which I could have had done for literally half the price if I had chosen to go with repair. Of course now I have to spend my valuable time looking into my legal options because I didnt get 1 what I thought I was paying for. read more
