They are ballroom dance shoes, so the front part of the shoe bottom was worn, but the heel was not. When I picked up my shoes, he said I owed him an additional $20 for heel repair, which the shoes did not need. He said his worker told him that the heels were in bad shape, but they were not, or I would've asked for them to be repaired when I dropped them off. I am not dumb. I know what my shoes needed, and they did not need heels. If there was an increase in the charge, he could have asked me before the work was completed, and I would've declined the extra unnecessary work. Total scam. I do remember him being unfriendly the last time I came here for business. I thought I would give his shop one more try. No thank you. I will never go there again. If you try to speak with someone higher up they will lie and say they will call you but it will never ever ever happen. Today they were supposed to pick up some equipiment. I took part of the day off to accommodate them. The day of the appt they say they will call you and give you an arrival window. My call never came (it never does) so I called in and was told my window was 10-2. No one showed from 10-2. Which is normal for them as I meant what I said when I said they do nothing right. Just look at all the other sg homecare reviews. They are all the same company. I think they changed the name to Stance to confuse people but it's the same poor service and non functioning equipment. At about 215pm for some bizarre reason they phoned my sister who lives elsewhere and who's number is not even on this acct and told her they were on their way and she texted me. So I waited a bit more and no one came. I texted the number 562-519-0189 which is the number that called my sister and I asked where they were and if they were coming. I did this twice. I got no text response but the number did call me back and hung up. It is now 7:30 pm at night and I have had a 1000 dollar machine waiting outside for someone that told me he would be here before 2. And guess what this is actually the least of the bad things they have done to us. Their equipment does not function, it is not cleaned, nor is it maintained as it should be. The website is in shambles and billing dept hysterical as the bills sometimes come and sometimes do not. It is very complex to pay your bill. They don't answer the phone, there is no accountability, no communication and no manager to speak to. It is a circus. The worse thing they do is lie- they simply lie during every conversation and some of the people you get on the phone cannot speak English and do not understand what is going on.. You are also charged for equipment and disposables they do not provide. They are only there to milk the insurance company and your co-pay. Your health and sanity are at risk with this company. They are a danger and every office should be closed.

Dr. Stephen Gaw's precision with my daughter's scoliosis brace improved her scoliosis curve (lumbar…read moreto thoracic) from 29 degrees to 19 degrees over a 2 year period. This was not easy, as the first year on the brace is the most difficult and required a lot of commitment on her part since she had to wear it for 17 hours a day; she was in 8th grade when she started. After 2 years on the brace, when she was about done growing, she only had to wear it at night for 1 year. At the checkup the following year (3 years now), her spinal curve stayed the same. Then, her orthopedic doctor took her completely off the brace and recommended she wear it only as needed until she's 18, but it is comfortable enough so my daughter chose to wear it nightly because she knows it helps her keep a straight spine and it's so worth it. To put the degrees of curve into perspective, at 29 degrees, there is a visible bump on one side of the lower spine (more visible when she bends over), like a little mound due to the rotation of the spine. At 19 degrees, it isn't noticeable at all; her back is perfectly normal with no bump whatsoever. When we first found out she had scoliosis, we researched all types of treatment, but in the end we trusted her pediatric orthopedic, who recommended Dr. Gaw and his scoliosis bracing technology to us. Dr. Gaw goes above and beyond to make even the most minor adjustments to the brace to make it as comfortable as he can for my daughter. This is important because any little thing can scratch the skin and irritate the body and adds another reason for a teen to avoid wearing it. The brace works only as good as the number of hours that are put on the body. Dr. Gaw worked with our orthopedic doctor to ensure a tight fight via x-rays. He is only required to be at the orthopedic office the first time the brace is fitted, however, there were many times we had checkups with the orthopedic doctor and Dr. Gaw was there to check on us because he happened to be at the office that day. He is one of those gem of doctors who truly cares about his patients and want his patients to get better and move on to bigger and better things, losing the brace as they grow. Words cannot express how happy and appreciative we are to have our daughter's spine healthy. The only regret is we wished we had discovered her scoliosis sooner; then could've gotten it back to perfection.

We, of course, knew otherwise because of her symptoms. We had to beg to get bloodwork so we could be sure and my wife left the appointment in tears after being dismissed and shot down by the doctor. On our second appointment with a midwife who said she was a doctor of nursing, Dr. Denise Castellanos, we had many questions since it is our first pregnancy. Instead of answering them, approximately 90% of the questions were directed to a QR code. This was especially bizarre given the fact that we paid to see her and not a QR code. The "doctor" spent the entire time trying to convince us that she respected our choices and decisions without actually giving us any information whatsoever or showing us any genuine respect. It was all an act. What is the purpose of making and paying for an appointment with a doctor if they are just directing the majority of questions to a QR code or telling you to wait until we are in the right trimester for the question to get answers? We learned more from Chat GPT in 10 minutes than we did from these people in two appointments, totaling approximately 60-80 minutes. Chat GPT also wasn't dismissive and condescending. Even worse, it took them multiple days to get us test results that are critical in maintaining our pregnancy, putting our baby's life at risk. We only found out about the results because the pharmacy called and said we had a prescription. There was a complete lack of communication from Memorial Care staff prior to the call from the pharmacy. When they did finally call, it wasn't even a doctor. It was just some office person from a call center. We tried to make a complaint and they rejected us saying "take it up with the insurance". Apparently they are more concerned with billing than they are with human life. DO NOT trust this place with your pregnancy. DO NOT GO TO MEMORIAL CARE! Go to anywhere other than Memorial Care!
