As I met with him for the first time, he went over a lot of options and suggestions on what could work best for me. He will spend all the time it takes to explain things to you and will answer all your questions thoroughly. Working with Tyra made me realized the world of difference it makes when dealing with a person that has a lot of experience in this field. Scam alert! And the receptionist hung up on me... I use Footmaxx orthotics which requires me to walk on a platform and the doctor sends in the result for them to be built. It takes 5-10 minutes. I got 3 numbers from the company of doctors registered with them in the Irvine area. The other providers charged $331 and $150. For exactly the same product, these guys are charging $495! read more

Took my mother here (93 yo) about six months ago. I am a PT and had in mind possibly a more substantial orthotic for her knee arthritis but Tyra suggested something less expensive and easier for her to apply. He was right. She wears it and altho not completely pain free she would not think of walking around without it. As far as the service - top notch - one on one, no crazy busy office scene. Tanya (the office manager) worked with me around Mom's med schedule and did not give me a hard time when we had to cancel last minute. I stopped in recently to drop off my own business card and Tanya remembered me, remembered my mother, remembered she was moving and asked how that went, asked how the orthotic was working for her. You simply cannot get that level of personal service anywhere else. Tyra spends the amount of time you need and although we had to wait a bit the first visit, it was because he was giving the same personal attention to the woman ahead of us as he did my mother when it was her turn. As far as the scam alert mentioned earlier, it has been my experience that you get what you pay for in terms of service and followup. I suppose if you know what you want and just need a replacement you can find anything cheaper these days. But a scam it is not. Tyra was able to fabricate a pair of shoes for me that were exactly what I needed. He spent a good amount of time making sure that he fully understood my needs and addressed them all. The final outcome was outstanding. I now have a go to place for all of my needs relating to my leg length discrepancy. IPS has an exceptional support staff that is very professional in addition to being helpful. if you are in need of a prosthetist or orthotist, tyra is marvelous. he is caring, compassionate, encouraging, generous, and skilled. if i want to come at 8:15 am right after i drop off my kid to school, it's done! i have never had any other prosthetist so i can't compare, but i am able to do a lot of things with his help. now i'm not saying this is all his doing, i had a great rehab team too, but i am able to walk up and down my stairs at home everyday, multiple times, drive, run errands, and take my 2 kids out. his administrator tanja is great as well. when i go there she makes me coffee, or gets me juice, or chats with me while tyra is fixing something in the back. read more

My first appointment was today, and I am so happy I found them! Honestly, I Googled to find a good Prosthetic Orthotist, after a bad experience with another locally, and went based on great patient reviews. I have worked in the medical field most of my life, and have never met such a group of nice, knowledgeable, and dedicated medical professionals! As a patient, myself, I have never experienced such true caring and eagerness to help. Tanja, the Office Manager, is so welcoming and friendly, from the first phone call onward, that she feels like a long-time friend. Tyra, the Certified Prosthetic Orthotist, is exceptionally patient and experienced, with a true passion for his work. Jessica, his Assistant, is sweet and a creative thinker, and they are a superb team. Tyra and Jessica both told me this is not a job for them, rather a rewarding feeling to be able to brainstorm and come up with ideas that change and better the lives of people. Wow, when do you ever hear that from your doctors?? We get our metered 15 minute visits, and then are dismissed. Not here! Tyra and Jessica treated me like I was the only person in the world and spent all the time I needed to try on leg braces, then made a mold of my leg to custom design their own unique brace to help me walk again after failed Achilles rupture repair. Tyra also fit me for a very comforting back brace, since I suffer from 2 failed back surgeries, and he watched me struggle to try to walk with both a bum back and a bum leg. Jessica was tossing suggestions to Tyra, telling me how much fun she has helping people, and she quickly made a perfect cast mold of my leg. Tanja will work tirelessly to get the tedious insurance paperwork done, and still give you a warm smile. I could go on and on, and I will, I will post again at my next visit when my leg brace is ready! My doctor recommended Innovative Prosthetic Solutions to create a device for an unusual medical situation. I called right after seeing that doctor and was offered an immediate appointment, which was very convenient! Michael worked with me and with my input did a great job of creating two devices to meet my needs. One specifically filled the doctor's prescription, and the other we designed together. Both accomplished the objective, and now I can choose the device I need based on the symptoms I am experiencing.
