They treated me well and…read moreseemed concerned. they told me the particular cancer I had was very easily treatable and I had a 95 percent of a full recovery. Then I explained that I was two and a half hours north of them and I had found a small clinic just 5 minutes from my house, as the treatment I needed would have required two treatments a day for six weeks. Suddenly, the tone changed, as did their body language. They told me if I went to the local clinic I was risking my life and would more then likely have a far less chance of recovering. Like they had a magic treatment of some sort. They tried their best to scare the hell out of me in plain English. While in fact I had noted the radiation machine they had and compared it to my local clinics. They had the very same machine and plan as my local clinic right in Lecanto Fl. I completed my 6 weeks of treatment and while it was rough, it did in fact help me. it's been 7 years. I would not recommend Moffitt at all for any type of cancer treatment. They didn't care about me or my situation. All they cared about was their numbers and studies. I love my Doctor. Dr Joey Bennitt. they did a great job and saved my life. If you get diagnosed with cancer, take a minute to really think about what will be the easiest for you and your family. these small clinics are a lot more personal and you see the same people every day during your treatment, while at Moffitt you never see the same people twice and they seem to be taking advantage of your diagnoses and will use it to their advantage to have you open your check book and say do what ever it takes. Truthfully, all the treatment facilities are the same and will do the exact same thing to help you. Don't fall for their scam. 7 years doing fine!

Dr. Adrienne Serneels & NP Thais Forbes are excellent. This general care (all female) medical…read moreoffice almost always runs like a well-greased machine. I had HMO's long ago, but never one that managed my care so well. This is a very busy bilingual (Spanish) practice staffed by very hardworking & kind individuals. Appointments are necessary unless there's an emergency. The nurse practitioner is my personal favorite. She genuinely cares about patients. She dedicates a great deal of time to speaking w/ each patient about any concerns, fears, goals, etc. On one particular visit when I was the last patient of the day, she was with me for 40 minutes as we tried to figure out what might work to treat severe insomnia. (I try to avoid Rx's.) *On this particular visit, she spent 50 minutes w/ me* The very friendly women here are humorous as well. After shedding 30 lbs in fewer than six weeks, I was assured the office scale must be broken; it was gently requested that I re-weigh:) Thankfully, for them & for me, their scale is in perfect working condition. Why not 5 stars? If you work full time w/ standard hours, you'll have to take time off from your job. The last appointment of the day (M-F) is 4:00 PM. (Why docs don't open & close a little later to be more accommodating to employed patients boggles my mind. Ugh.) There's also a weak link within this office regarding referrals; sometimes getting the staffer to provide one in a timely manner is quite difficult. However, Cindy (front desk receptionist) is amazing-- friendly, proficient, helpful, & can run circles around receptionists everywhere:) Over this past year, the office replaced its hoard of soft chairs (which the elderly & this formerly disabled woman could barely get out of); the lobby is now perfect for those w/ physical disabilities. There's free coffee here, a water cooler, a poetry wall, & a large screened wall TV (set to local news-- not CNN or Fox, thankfully). If the office hours work for your schedule, I highly recommend Dr. Serneels & NP Forbes; they make an excellent team. It's obvious they care about those they treat.

I usually don't write bad reviews. However THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED…read more The representative I spoke to named Jamie was unprofessional, rude, and moved in a rushed manner.. I could barely get a word in while speaking with her. I've never been so frustrated with someone to where I have to let the higher-ups know. Jamie, was pushy and wanted to get me off the phone. I'm not sure what her deal was. I was nothing but nice, however she gave a nice nasty approach that I did not like and continued to cut me off whenever I spoke. Then she continued saying, yes the doctor is a busy lady after all she is a specialist... Uh duhhh that's my point in calling for her help. Anyway, she could really use a course on " how to communicate with patients". I'm not a stupid human being. I am a person and I deserve the same level of respect I gave Jamie on that call. I shouldn't even be writing this. It has nothing to do with the actual Dr. Honestly, Jamie is not the person I want to reach when I call back to follow up. I hope she actually does her job and reaches out for my records so we can get the ball rolling on me being seen. I'm not even sure she did that. She gave me no reassurance. Patients that are scared, concerned, worried, or just needing to find answers shouldn't be treated like an uneducated bum. I wasn't nasty to Jamie. Not once. She should really work on her attitude. If you were ready to go home because it's 4:30, let someone else answer the phone. Sadly, it got to the point I had to continuously ask her to slow down and reassure her that " I understood she was asking questions for the purpose of the appointment." Word of advice for Jamie... BE A NICE HUMAN TO OTHERS. ALSO LET THE CALLER GET A WORD IN. DON'T BE SO TRANSACTIONAL. I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DEALING WITH BUT I HOPE YOU GET THROUGH IT. DO YOU KNOW WHERE THAT STARTS? WITH YOU BEING A GOOD HUMAN BEING TO OTHER HUMAN BEINGS NO MATTER WHO YOU THINK IS ON THE OTHER END OF THE CALL. DO BETTER NEXT TIME. By the end of the call she told me they'll reach out to the hospital for my records and get back to me in 2 weeks for an appointment... Are you kidding? That's insane. I have to see someone before I go back to my PCP visit. She wouldn't even let me get the word in that I needed a location in Tampa not Trinity. She didn't care, and that's okay because I don't either. So here's my review. Has nothing to do with Dr Jessica Stein but everything to do with Jamie who probably shouldn't have clocked in today... Signed - someone just looking for help and answers.
