Terrible billing department. Received four Bills over four months since my last appt. Billing agent at the practice told me that she couldn't see where they had sent me any previous emails either. So I paid that bill with a different credit card than the one on file. I thought at that point it was over. Nope a few days later they charge me again on the previous credit card that I had used. Without authorization. The billing department has both people out now so I can't even talk to anyone about the issue. Now, while waiting for one of them to get back in the office... I just received another email saying my payment is due. Be very careful with billing this practice has issues with it. read more

In February, 2025, Dr. James performed a total knee replacement of my left knee. I'm 75 years old, and before the surgery, I'd been suffering for years with knee pain and increasingly limited mobility due to joint deterioration. Extremely professional and efficient medical facility. My wife was suffering extreme pain in her neck. The doctor initially prescribed some medications that eliminated the pain. However the meds had bad side effects for long term use. So, the doctor injected a different medication directly into her neck. She has had no pain since then. Hopefully that lasts a long time. I went back yesterday to see Dr Taylor Beatty to review my recent MRI's which were done on my Spine. I have been to this Dr before for back injections that worked for a long time to relieve my severe pain. I had a recent fall a few months back which caused me new pain. It was time to come back to see this fine Doctor again for some sort of treatment. He doesn't jump into any surgery decision without trying other things to help a Patient. He is not a pushy sort of Doctor. He's very easy to talk to & answers all your concerns & questions. He never rushes you out of the office. The Office will be calling to schedule me for deeper back injections soon & hopefully these will work as great as the first set he did on me 3 yrs ago. My name is Rhonda Lease- I was recommended to Dr. Taylor Beatty by Dr. Alan Graves - I was very nervous as I didn't know Dr. Beatty and although I trusted Dr. Graves and his recommendation I was still so nervous. Then I Dr. Beatty! He was so kind and went over throughly all my tests and results. Surgery was my only option if I wanted any type of quality of life back. I cried through that whole visit and Dr. Beatty went slow and made me feel I would be in good hands with him- he gave me the confidence I was looking for and so badly needed. We scheduled my surgery for several weeks in advance at Mease Hospital- Although I'm a Christian and knew I was really in Gods hands I was still anxious... Dr. Beatty came in to see me and i put my hands over his and said a blessing- he was completely receptive and I knew God would be guiding this man as he operated on me. Again, he Dr. Beatty gave me a complete peace- I woke up from surgery as they were wheeling me to my room- I spent 24 hours in the hospital and came home. I was referred here b Florida Hospital North Pinellas, due to popping a ligament in my foot. Nothing -broken- on the xray so they opted to send me to an Orthopedic doctor. Dutifully I made my appointment and showed up. I arrived, filled out my 7 pages of medical history, gave my license and insurance card and then waited about 5 minutes before I was escorted back by a very surly Pa or Ma (not sure which) who did nothing more than grunt hello at me, before walking me back to a room to take more history. He asked me what I did, I told him " I was walking back to my car at the beach, in the parking lot, and I felt, and internally heard something in the ball of my foot pop" a minute or so later he asked. "So you were in your drive way, and you felt the top of your foot crack?" Seriously were you even paying attention? I had little hope for the doctor. Dr. Williams came in, wearing a NASCAR shirt and his hair in a short ponytail, ok, I see they cater to some sports enthusiasts here, I can give him this. He looked at my X-rays, then asked me about the issue. I explained again. He asked if this has ever happened before, "Yes, on the other foot, I dance, and have PF." He nodded. He told me his Diagnosis. That what I'm already doing is what he would do, that it wouldn't be beneficial to come back. Ok. 1. Their staff that I met other than the doctor wasn't welcoming. 2. they don't want to run your insurance up. 3. No unnecessary wait time for me. So it was an alright visit. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Orthopedic Specialists. Dr. Chris James did a right total knee replacement less than four weeks ago. I have almost no pain, am walking independently with a walker or cane, and going to PT in their practice. Dr. James is kind and thorough. He sits and explains everything in detail with no sugar coating. I have seen Dr. Scott Brotherton in the same practice for several years as well. Dr. Maiocco is an amazing doctor. I have to say .. the pain I was in prior to my procedure was down right brutal. He did my hip scope and like a magician I came out feeling immediately like a new person. I could tell when I woke from my procedure it was just time for healing, no more unnecessary pain. On top of his magical surgical expertise, his demeanor is calming, kind and confident as well. I just knew the moment I met him I would feel better soon and my hunch was right. In addition to the amazing Dr Maiocco who I owe my sanity to at this point, the surgery center Suncoast Specialty Surgery Center staff made me feel so comfortable and taken care of. I had an appointment today for 10:00. I brought my referral and gave it to the front desk. They gave me the paperwork, I brought it back and then someone came out and said "sorry, but this referral won't work. We need an electronic referral and the doctor you were scheduled to see won't be able to help you. You need an appointment with Dr. Maser so get the referral fixed and call back. He has 3 openings this week so it won't be a problem to get you in". I went to my primary care who told me that they told the orthopedic place to reschedule my appt because they couldn't get the electronic referral in time, but they never did. They said they'll get the referral to them by the end of the day. I called not even 45 minutes after I left Palm Harbor Orthopedics and they said Dr. Maser doesn't have an appointment available until the 17th. They're liars. They said my insurance company doesn't accept paper referrals. They do. My girlfriend and I both have had the same primary care write referrals the same way for the same insurance plan and have never had a problem (cardiologists, oncologists, etc.). Save time and headaches - and if you're in pain, get treated faster. Go somewhere else. Like the person that reviewed before me, I also HATE giving 1 star reviews, but this was a ridiculous situation and I was completely lied to. read more

These doctors are thirsty for money. They will make you pay upfront instead of billing your HRA and you are left to figure out reimbursement on your own. But then to make matters worse they will habitually fail to schedule appointments like they don't even need the business. Great place to go if you don't really need their help. read more

I cannot say enough great things about the office staff and the doctors!My daughter hurt her thumb and I took her to Urgent Care for x-rays to see if it was broken. They told her it was not broken and it would be better in 5-7 days. After a week, it still looked the same. A friend recommended I take her to Orthopedic Specialists to have them look at it. They do not accept our insurance, but I took her there anyway because the closest specialist who was in network was over an hour away. Dr. Brotherton looked at it and then had it x-rayed. He showed us on the x-ray exactly where it was broken and why there was a possiblity she would need surgery. He referred us to their surgeon, Dr. Williams. Dr. Brotherton was able to get us in to see Dr. Williams the very next morning. Dr. Williams looked at the x-ray and said there was a great possilblity she would need surgery and said she would need a CAT scan to know for sure. I told him the nearest in network Dr. was in Celebration and I already had an appointment the following week with a surgeon there, just in case he recommends surgery. This is where I became extremely impressed with this office. Amber who handles insurance approvals in the office went out of her way to find a place to do the CAT scan. The MRI office I called to do the CAT scan could not get her in for a week. Dr. Williams said she could not wait that long, so he called the MRI place himself to try and get her in sooner. Unfortunately,they did not return his call. Amber then got on the phone to find other places who took her insurance. She called a total of five MRI places and finally found one who took her insurance AND was willing to take her that same day since it was urgent. They went through all this trouble, knowing if she needed surgery, I would be going to another facility to have it done. They could have easily have told me to just take her to the in-network office and sent us on our way. I have NEVER had a Dr.'s office go out of their way to help us the way they did. Thankfully the CAT scan showed she does not need surgery. Even though this office is out of my insurance network, I have decided to let them handle the rest of her care until her thumb is completely healed and pay out of pocket. Dr. Brotherton and Dr. Williams were very nice. They both explained the x-rays to us and why she would possibly need surgery. Both of the doctors' assistants were very nice and the front office staff as well. I will forever be greatful for Dr. William, Amber and Dr. Brotherton for not making us feel like a number and doing everything they could to be sure my daughter got the care she needed. read more

I had carpal tunnel surgery with Doctor Sullivan in 2000, both hands at same time. & watched it being done! Easy Peesy ! The Staff are all hard workers and Doctor Sullivan till this day recognizes them all and Thanks Them For All Of Their Dedication ! How Many people can say that about a medical center. Doctor Williams is now my current go to. Yes, he wears a man bun and maybe a sport shirt. Just goes to show he is like you & I.. Lighten up people your going to one of the best .. Period. So we all wait to be seen.. stop whining... Had Stem cell treatment in January and it has helped and now heading in for knee Debridement. My 5 years old son got in ER after falling from the step-stool. After X-rays we found out his arm is broken. In ER I was advised to take him to orthopedic. Next morning I called Orthopedic specialists asking for the same day appointment. They were all booked for the next 3 days. I asked if there is any possibility to see my 5 years old son. Receptionist promised to call me back within couple hours to see if she can do anything. Then she called me and said that doctor can see my son in 40 minutes. God bless them! We took our son to the clinic. We were assisted by doctor Brandon Taylor. He was so friendly, nice and professional! He explained all little details about our situation, what can be done and what to expect. And he scheduled surgery in next 2 days! He did awesome job! 3 hours after surgery my son was playing and running all over the house! Like nothing happened!) it is 9 days after surgery and so far everything is great! If you are in any sort of pain do not go there! You will have to wait weeks for an appointment. They beat around the bush and give you the run around on scheduling. While talking to the office staff they were completely rude and unhelpful. I personally work in the medical field and would never treat patients in pain this way.
