let me begin by saying I chose to have my leg removed eight years ago to a very rare form of muscular dystrophy. I originally started in Wyoming with Wyoming Prosthetics Orthotics and they were amazing. I dealt with the Hanger Clinic in Sherman Texas. They were amazing. I am extremely active not the typical patient. I know my equipment. I know the process. I know how it's supposed to be done. I've always tried to be patient and understanding because things happen, but this beyond the realm of rediculous! The process has been simple for the past eight years I go in I get casted I come in a second time we try the fit , the third time every single previous socket has been perfect. I typically have to get one every year as my amputation changes. my experience in Tucson so far I have come down almost 11 times now. yes 11 . The first technician didn't listen to me and told me what he wanted to do. Thankfully, the second tech has been amazing , I will tell you that I have never gone home with a quote " test socket" again please read above . then I found out they send everything out out of house now the facility that they sent my. Casting to make my carbon fiber socket blew up the form 4 x , I can't make this up ! The supervisor for this particular office has been amazing (again I have never ,ever have I gone through this much hell and I do use the word hell to get a brand new socket . ) I don't mind the drive. It's an hour and 15 minutes, but it's gasoline and wear and tear on my car that I cannot afford . trying to be understanding and not judgmental. I googled lawsuits against Hanger Prosthetic . Oh my God the websites just blew up. Poor Customer Service poor fitting sockets. billing issues across the board. having moved to Tombstone not knowing my new care providers. Both told me (one was a doctor one was a nurse practitioner who was retired army ) told me and I quote " Hanger is the worst " again a doctor and a nurse practitioner both telling me these things before I even started dealing with them here in Tucson . it got so bad that I called corporate in Texas and I told them that I would be more inclined to drive the 900 miles one way to the Hanger Clinic in Sherman, Texas, where they got it right on all three of my sockets. then deal with this crap in Arizona, yup so . The only saving grace is my tech . feel free to google lawsuits against Hanger Clinic . again, I am not the typical client I am active. I wear my leg and average of 14 hours a day I am highly physical , after eight years again, dealing with a Prosthetic expert in Wyoming and Sherman, Texas I know what is correct. Horrible customer service. I made an appointment two weeks out and I was told the address to the appointment was the one on my referral which was also the number I called (Grant Location) to make the initial appointment. When I made it to the front desk I had extra time and would have been 15 minutes late to the orange grove location, less if I had just left when the receptionist said I was at the wrong appointment. When she called the doctor at the Orange Grove location said she wouldn't be able to see my son which is ridiculous. There should always be a late window, especially considering this was not my mistake and I had to schedule so far in advance and had to take my 5 month old out during a pandemic. You would they would have been more accommodating. Now I have to wait another week. I'd also like to add that there was not a single other patient in that waiting room or on the sign in sheet at the Grant location and the doctor there also said he could not see my son because he was working on a project. My sons appointment was right at 8:30am when they first opened. Ridiculous. read more

I saw Daniel Basham almost a year ago. It was such a quick appointment that he wouldn't remember, but it made a huge difference in my knee and ankle pain and abilities! I went in thinking I might benefit from orthotics but he watched me walk and knew right away one leg was longer than the other. Rather than charging me for orthotist he cut out a flat insert for one shoe and immediately I felt relief! Seeing an orthotist is the best kept secret I think. It should be on the top of the list when there is any orthopedic pain, or even before. In addition this clinic is half the price of a highly advertised foot store! read more

The staff is so friendly and attentive. Theyre great with babies AND adults. They really explain everything and walk you through the process so you know whats happening and calm any fears. When my son was diagnosed with Plagiocephaly (flat head) we were referred to Hanger for helmet therapy. We have seen both the women that do helmets and they are both wonderful but have mostly been working with Bri. She is fantastic! She took alot of time to answer all our questions and make us feel comfortable with using the helmet for our son. Would 100% recommend this clinic to parents needing helmet therapy. read more

This business is very poorly run. Nobody knows what the other person is doing and they are very slow to help you. You've got to be kidding, a place such as this should have a person at the front desk that has a clue! I ordered support socks that took over two weeks to arrive. I got a voice finally that they were here and when I went in to get them I was told they wouldn't be here until later in the week. This place sucks. Lady was so ride. My surgueb who I saw 3 times scheduled me for surgery and told me to go to hanger to get me a sling. I went to hanger and the lady in the front said "I'm not even gonna read that go have a seat" she said I needed to been seen even tho my fucking SURGEON said I needed surgery. Then before I was seen a lady running 20 min late for her appointment came in signed in and was taken back before me even tho I was already called. I've seen some bad revues here, but I've had really good experiences at the Hanger Clinic. Also it is illegal to return medical devices. So it's not their fault if they can't take something back. read more

I spent $90+ for a pair of thigh-high support hose (yep, $90+ for a pair of hose). That said, they were amazingly comfortable. Since then I have lost over 50# and am planning a trip overseas and decided I should check to see if they will still work. I was advised to get a new pair and knee highs were recommended. I spent $80+ for the knee highs. Came home, tried them on, and the left one cuts off the circulation in my leg near the knee. I called to see about returning them. They will only exchange them. What a rip-off. I have over $170 invested in two pairs of hose, one of which is too big and one is uncomfortable. I want to wear the ones that are big and just get my money back on the other. This company is overpriced, overrated, and doesn't stand by its products. read more

My second child was born last week. While she is perfect in every way, she did have a common issue of an easily dislocatable hip. This can be corrected with ease, but requires the use of a sling contraption for a few weeks. The orthopedic pediatrician we saw sent us to Hanger for the harness and some instruction on using it. Entering with our 3-day old child, we were understandably nervous about what we were about to have to deal with. We were seen right away, even without an appointment (appointments are preferred) by one of their staff. This gentleman was incredible with us. He took the time to answer all our questions and go over any and all nuances of the sling. At no point were we rushed or even felt hurried. Just a pleasure. We walked out with our minds at ease. In the meantime, we are happily able to use the sling and our baby girl is on the way to total health and fitness. So glad this place was as kind to us as they were. Just wonderful! Hopefully you'll never have to visit an establishment like this. But if you do, rest assured that they have your concerns at the heart of their business practice. 5 stars! read more

I ordered a pair of shoes and inserts over a month ago, I got a call from their office telling me that the shoes had not been ordered yet, told me they were looking for more paperwork from my Dr., so I called my Dr and she told me that she had sent it over a week ago, so I called them once again to find out where my shoes were and yet once again they tell me that they had not yet been ordered now going on 6 weeks or longer. This place is terrible I went here in 2005 for orthotics a b d they were poorly made. I thought I give them another chance, I went there a couple months a go to get a brace made it wasn't made right they tried to adjust it about 4 times they still couldnt get it right. They said they would give me a refund. Well I am still waiting to get my money. They keep changing the date when I will get it first they say 2 weeks than 4 weeks now they say they don't know when I will get it. I am hoping my insurance company can help get my co pay back. I am surprised at the negative reviews! I had a stroke in 2005 and have had foot drop ever since which requires an AFO brace. I have been going to Hanger since 2005 getting fitted and new braces every 2 years. But I wear the braces out! They have not broken on me. I even had my Hanger consultant call me when new technology came out and he wanted me to try a new brace. A few years ago, I tried the Walk Aide through Hanger but I was not trusting ME with the Walk Aide and using it at work, it made me nervous going w/o the brace. But that was not Hanger or the Walk Aide, it was my fear of falling. Note: Hanger is VERY busy and it is always takes time when I go there. But I know when it's my turn they'll make time for me! read more

Our 10 month old son has a corrective helmet for his plagiocephaly and brachycephaly and meets regularly with Brianna for check ups. She is super friendly and is great with our son. Bri is super knowledgeable and always makes our visits fun. read more
