Decided at the last part of the day to get my back adjusted because My SI joint was all jenked. I walk in and there is a new doctor. ( oh boy...as I contemplate leaving , to return another day... the new doc called me back.) well heck there goes my escape plans lol. I was also in a ridiculous amount of pain. The Doc shook my hand, made eye contact......and then it was the adjustment. II felt almost instant relief upon adjustment , as in my low back pain was maybe a 2 out of 10, from a 6-7 out of ten. This new doc is a keeper!! He knows his stuff and has a very relaxing"table side" manner. 12 hours later, I still have no pain. Will update ! P.s Best part it is 29 dollars for an adjustment. Buyer beware! Think twice before signing up for their "Managed Care Plan". I came in for neck pain and paid $1,800.00 for 18 sessions. After 10 sessions I decided to call it quits and asked for my money back. No deal--no refund! On the positive side, the staff are all quite nice. It just didn't work for me. There are no words to adequately express what a game changer going to The Fix Medixal, specifically Dr. Adam Molden, has been to the quality of my life and that of my husband (who does not write Yelp reviews.) He seems to know what he is doing pretty much by just his touch. My husband has been out of town for almost a month and the only thing he has asked me to do is to get him an appointment for immediately upon his return. When I suggested to him to get some care where he was, he was adamant about only going to Dr. Molden because "he is the only one who has successfully managed my pain and help me improve." As for me, Dr. Molden gave me relief like no other place I went until I had my hip replacement. I don't know what I would have done without him. He cares and it shows. I noticed I started having some light gastric issues and they couldn't be diagnose in the ER, so I figured I may try chiropractor. Considering how many nerves come through your spine, it was worth a shot. They give you an X-RAY as well as practitioner consult before presenting you with a plan. If you can't do the plan for your own reasons, they DO NOT force you into it and offer you lower cost options. Everyone has been very friendly and assertive at their job, the front desk staff is extremely welcoming and helpful, and the chiropractor actually asks you every week how you're feeling or if you have new pains. I still have a couple of weeks of treatment but I'm very happy I chose to come in. The stomach or gastric issues have somewhat subsided and my neck flexibility is getting better. Thank you Dr. Varano! This is such a unique spot -- $20 for an adjustment, no appointment necessary. Score! I had been having some pretty severe lower back pain and wanted immediate attention. No way I was going to the ER or urgent care. I saw The Fix on Yelp and, giving the great reviews and the amazing price point (slightly more than the cost of seeing my primary care physician), I went for it. For intake, you fill out a one-page form that gets the quick and dirty on your history and problem area. The reception area is perfect and cozy for that. I love the artwork -- some of which is for sale. And the sofas are crazy comfy. Then, you are taken behind the barrier to have a chat about what's going on. Dr. Varano is very swift, but also careful and highly attentive. He also gives ample instruction about what is about to happen and how to take care of yourself after the adjustment. All told, I was on site about 20 minutes. $1 per minute -- ha! And my back was in shape 1.5 days later, and with no soreness at all. Also, Dr. Varano is a Wildcat! Ab fab! Reprezent. read more

Despite my misgivings about anything of a chiropractic nature, when the going gets super painful (ie. can't get out of bed and stand up pain) -- nothing will "fix" it, except for a quick trip to the Fix Chiropractor. This office is well-situated on the NW side of Tucson, and it can be accessed easily from several streets. The office is usually packed - the good Drs don't take appointments, first to hobble in is the first to be served - and though everyone is SITTING patiently waiting for their turns, I know they are screaming inside at the pain in their backs/shooting up their legs/shoulders/buttocks,etc. I can see it in their crossed eyes, as I gaze into them with my own. The doctors' "office" is out in the open, just like the waiting room, and there's no real barrier between the two rooms, so you're likely to hear all about Bob tweaking his back moving a piano down a flight of stairs, or Jan throwing her hip out, while salsa-ing with her gorgeous boyfriend, Ferrrnando. Fortunately, we're here to see chiropractors, not proctologists, so the embarrassment is kept at a minimum. Usually. There are about three or four tables in the treatment area, but only one doctor at a time, who will usually see one patient. And while our pains feel like they've been with us an eternity, the good doctors perform the adjustments in a flash. Both doctors seem to prefer hands-on adjustment over what I call the hammer - a device some chiropractors use on certain areas to lessen the tension or pain, when the patient may be too tense to receive manual adjustments. I've also not used any other devices, which I've seen in other chiropractors' offices. I've seen both Dr. Molden and Dr. Markette and they were equally effective, though Dr. Molden, being the owner, appears to be more popular. Both practitioners go through the same routine with my usual back/sciatic/shoulder pain. Some reviews have mentioned that the DRs are not particularly communicative. I'm not sure what kind of communicationg is required, beyond the DRs understanding the situation and providing the proper type of care. When I'm in pain, talk about the blazing sun and 90+ degree weather take a back seat to getting some relief. And the low prices also help - $29/visit OR $70/ 4 visits. That's even cheaper than my cursed insurance co-pay. Of course, the 4 visits are to be used in one month, but some of the patients with long term chronic pain will find the plan useful. This is a Wham Bam thank you ma'am kind of place now. Good for them for being busy, but it is not very personalized and feels very rushed. It is not private either. The staff leads you to an adjustment table directly beside another table where the chiro is working with another patient. A HIPAA violation in my opinion. The original owner definitely took more time with patients at a much lower rate per adjustment. This place is decent for a getting a quick appointment, but I've definitely had more comprehensive chiropractic care elsewhere. read more

I was having a very bad burning pain in my upper back. I tried all of the usual remedies including NSAIDs and nothing was helping. Finally decided I had to get some professional help and chose The Fix based on its simple pricing structure and no need for appointments. I was really impressed. I filled out the new patient paperwork at home and brought it with me. Check in was quick and friendly. Dr. Joe Harb did a great job on my back and I felt much better immediately. Even more impressive was the fact I was not pressured into signing up for some expensive 'treatment plan.' When I've been to other chiropractors there has always been pressure to sign a contract for numerous visits over months. Had a badly sparined muscle in my neck, I sought thier help. Not covered by Medicare (I'm 78), so $98! Lotsa very nice girls, lots of 'processing'. A sample Laser treatment, that did nothing, but (Hint!~ Hint!) pay more and she'll do it longer. I had been treating it with cold. The only concrete advise was HEAT and Lidocane patches. So I bought like $30 worth, and applied one (stinky!) with the heating pad on the muscle. after 1-2hours...tried to simple get out of the chair...the heat had caused the sore muscle to spasm causing excruciating pain. Finally got the pain to allow me to get up. Basically, a total waste of time and money. How do there ripoff artists stay in business!!??? read more

I try and go to a place for some time prior to writing a review and having spent over a year with The Fix Chiropractic I can honestly say I won't go anywhere else. The staff is warm, friendly and the adjustments are always done with care and precision. I have lower back issues and chiropractic is what keeps me mobile. I scheduled an appointment after reading the yelp reviews and can concur that this office is the real deal. My back and hip had been out for about six weeks and I basically lost 80% of my mobility from the pain. The doctor quickly understood my condition and in a matter of 15 minutes, my body was adjusted. The following days have been brutal with cold and flu symptoms given the toxins released into my body, but I understood this to be normal based on my previous experiences with chiropractic. I am now recovering and walking without pain and plan on coming back regularly for more timely adjustments given the work I do. This place saved my world today. I had been suffering from a headache for days. If always had issues with headaches but this one was relentless. Over a week of suffering and even nausea. I have been seeing Dr. Adam Molden before he took over this office. He is the only person my wife will allow to adjust her. He has seen her nearly every week for two years. He was able to adjust her with no issues during pregnancy and got the baby turned head down and ready for delivery. After my daughter was born he has looked at her and she rarely cries sleep soundly through the night since 2 months old and she loves to hear his voice now as she knows he will make her feel better. The chiro who saw me, Adam, was friendly and told me everything he was doing while he heard my issues. I wasn't there very long, he did the things needed to get me on the right track. Almost instantly the pain I was having- the kind that hurt me from standing up from a sitting position- was gone. Dr. Adam is excellent but the experience the last few times Have been 2-3 star rating at best. There is nothing in the world worse than a bad chiropractor. Nevermind the unethical ones that try to rope you into coming in twice a week forever at $30+ a pop... I've had bad ones throw my neck out and I STILL have hip issues from a bad one I had three years ago. I had one try to tell me that my feet were flat because my back was messed up (when it's because I weigh more than average). ANYWAY. Dr. V doesn't do any of that. He's methodical, efficient, doesn't waste time on funny electrical pads that probably don't do anything... you go in, you pays your twenty bucks, you gets your spine popped. PROPERLY, I might add. I always feel worlds better afterwards and it lasts for weeks. In addition, he was able to help my mother after she partially dislocated a couple of ribs after falling on black ice (she lives in Oracle). Put everything right back where it belonged, and with a bit of rest she's now good as new. Definitely recommended. read more

This is a great, no nonsense yet compassionate place to get adjusted. I'm a pretty seasoned pain sufferer, so I don't need any x rays, education, or long term detailed treatment stuff. I just want to get re aligned and this is what Dr.V does. As far as drawbacks, for me there are none. If you want a chiropractor who spends a long time discussing your problems, I am not sure Dr V can always provide that, since his living is based on walkins, my assumption is that he wants a pretty good turn over. But I really don't know. He seems like he could suggest times of day that are slow if you want more time. If you need privacy, that might be another drawback. The practice is one bigroom with a privacy screen, so if you are waiting, You can hear the other patient talking, but they are screened from view. It does not bother me at all. I am extremely grateful that Dr.V is here in Tucson and I would go to no other chiro. read more

I woke up one morning in serious pain just as I was needing to head on a plane to Tucson. There was no chance of seeing my chiropractor before heading off on my trip. Thanks to the magic of Yelp and the Internet I found The Fix when my plane landed and lucky for me it was on the way to my destination - and they take walk-ins! I admit, I was leery of having someone touch my back in this small strip mall shop with just a curtain between the loud chair and the lobby. I asked the others in the waiting room if they'd been here before and survived. I concur with the woman who convinced me that day. This may not be a luxury spa with all the bells and whistles but these guys know what they are doing and are great. They take walk-ins and the wait is short. It's easy peasy and with an affordable fee. We know most chiro adjustments aren't covered by insurance anyway so this is a no hassle way to go. They came to my rescue and I came back for follow ups that week before heading back home. Without them I don't know how I'd have made it through my trip.
