They took this trip out of town because my family member wasn't achieving effective results, guidance or follow up with the surgeon in her area. She also regularly receives specialty care at UW but again, wanted to see Hubert Lee because his reviews painted him in a wonderful light. He was such the polar opposite of his reviews that, in their words, they 'felt like they got catfished by a doctor'. They were early for their appointment, my niece is an advocate for her senior citizen mother, they were polite and Hubert Lee's body language and choice of words spoke to both my senior citizen family member and RN daughter like they were completely wasting his time, acted as if they were weird for going out of their town for care which is common practice and the reason people pay high prices for flexible insurance. DPM Hubert Lee rolled his eyes, huffed and puffed, stared outside the window on multiple occasions not listening while my elderly family member was speaking to him, tapped his feet in annoyance and seemed annoyed by everything. Their words 'the entire visit from entry to exit was as if he couldn't get out of our visit fast enough'. Since so many of his other patients have had excellent experiences - this highly suggests he either discriminated against my senior citizen mother due to her age, was annoyed by them being female (sexism) or is racist. Or this man pays for some business promotion and PR firm that falsely inflates his positive reviews and ratings. They went on Mothers Day weekend hoping for a better experience as she's heartbroken with all the pain and loss of function in her feet. I can't imagine all his positive reviews are genuine and my healthcare provider family member said people should really stay away from someone that treats patients this poorly at all but especially in front of their own adult child. Based on my experience, the manager/owner- Jamie seemed often emotionally dysregulated and the…read morereceptionists lacked professional accountability. My issue began after 3/4 visits, when I told them in-person that I needed to reschedule some future appts and they failed to update their calendar. Months later when I returned for tx, it felt like Jamie went off on me by allegedly yelling, and seemingly accusing me of lying- inside of a closed office with no witnesses! What an awful thing for an owner of a company to do to a handicap medical patient! What ever happened to the benefit of doubt, the customer is always right, or common decency? During my convo with Jamie, he barely allowed me to speak and then explicitly told me that my recollection of events "didn't happen!" Adding 3 more examples of Jamie's behavior that made me feel uncomfortable: 1. At my 1st appt, some of Jamie's front desk staff had ordered coffee for themselves but didn't offer the PTs in the back coffee so Jamie interrupted my appt to allegedly tell his front desk staff that he preferred them to make a coffee order for the entire staff. Then, in an open office, while patients were being treated, he told the PTs that he made that request and made jokes of a delivery war with the front staff. I found this to be toxic and an abuse of power. 2. During my time as a patient, I didn't have access to a portal to manage my appts, I didn't get appt confirmations, and there were no reminders (text or calls) so a month before my appts resumed, I went into the office and got a print out of my future appts. On the day of my 1st appt, 25 minutes before the onset of my appt, I called and asked the staff to confirm the appt time and they asked for me to arrive in 5 minutes (20 minutes early) and I told them that I'd be on time since this was a last minute request that I couldn't accommodate. Well, during my last convo with Jamie (referenced above), he told me that I was considered me late b/c I arrived on time b/c they needed me to do paperwork. It just seems to me that it was the responsibility of his staff to communicate their request for early arrival in advance and I shouldn't have been reprimanded for their poor communication and lack of a patient management system. 3. I feel like it was a horrible idea to have Jamie (a 6'2"+ tall white male doctor and company owner) to be alone in an office reprimanding a patient. Another staff was needed, preferably someone with HR or legal experience. It was esp, a bad idea to have Jamie sitting in front of the door, controlling when it could be opened or closed and when I could leave the room.

It looked like a stunted barge that purposefully beached itself to be scrapped. Instead, they put offices in it. I shook off the rain and limped like a lame dog into the main passageway towards the elevator. Startled, I caught myself in the mirror looking like hell having worked a marathon week in the office. ::thump:: The elevator drops a few inches and hesitates, realizing I didn't give it a command. My knee groaned like an old tree... Realizing that I too didn't know where I was going, and that I once again forgot the name of this place, I looked around and pressed the G button... for garden. I slowly descended into the dark cargo hold trying to make myself look less homeless in the mirror. The office was quiet and warm. I was now having fleeting flashbacks of a ship I once explored while in Russia. The giant receptionist desk dwarfed the chairs in the waiting area, which made my debilitated knees feel like they were right against the desk. Another patient walked in and sat unnecessarily close to me. I could see him looking at me in my peripheral, maybe ascertaining if I was indeed without home. I did what any good Seattleite would do and ignored him, frowning deep in profound thought. I saw candy canes in a basket, which reminded me of my late father who suffered from type 1 diabetes and had lost both legs. My mind flipped towards my own immortality and my genetic predisposition for diabetes. Halfway through the delightful candy cane, I worked my cramped left hand across a clipboard filling out paperwork. I was called back and met the owner, who was cheerful, friendly, and in way better shape than myself. He sat me down in what can only be described as a 1930's lobotomy chair. I couldn't stop playing with the levers and knobs in wonderment. I saw a painting of a ram that made me ponder if I could handle staring at it while on mushrooms. On my way out I felt good, refreshed even. I looked to my right and a secret door had appeared which lead right outside. Shuffling up the steps, I was thankful I didn't have to look into that mirror again on the way out. As I clumsily thrust myself back across the parking lot, I kept looking back towards the Soviet ship, trying to shake the feeling of that ram in the painting watching me. Waiting... perhaps in that chair. Anyway, I totally recommend these guys. if you're looking for orthotics in Seattle or prosthetics in Seattle.
