During 4 days of my car parked in down-pouring rain, I discovered my vehicle's carpet was SATURATED on Driver's side front & back. Suspecting the windshield, I filed a claim & told Insurance they, (Hangtown) had great reviews & I did not want to use a Nation wide CHAIN Co. that took over my usual glass place. So I drove by with no appointment & the Owner's, Steve & Deva spe​nt about 25 minutes checking, cleaning sunroof drain holes, seals, & Deva even shop vac'd it, after her husband dusted her with the dry filter!. She said; "get this over to Premiere Detailer asap, & then we'll do windshield." I felt so blessed by their kindness; I thanked them & scheduled both shops, that did excellent work. This place is excellent!!!! I picked up my car today after about two month and still have to work with them for a couple issues with repairs. Due to covid, parts have taken longer to get so they've had it a while. AAA refused to call me back for anything and hertz rental wanted my rental back today because it's been more than their 62 days allowed and since AAA won't take care of me and hertz doesn't give a crap, these people stepped up big time!! They've been the middle man for me and are getting it done! Next week I still need to take care of a few issues but Misty and Deva have been the shining light in the BS that was me being rear ended on the freeway. I had a 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera with a pretty hideous dent in the door and I was paying out-of-pocket to have it repaired. I obtained several quotes from other repair shops in the Placerville area. Here I got the best price in town and after the work was done it looked phenomenal. Diva, the queen of the place, did an outstanding job taking care of all of the details. When I picked up the car there was an unfortunate issue with some electrical components they could not fix. The repair cost me around $500, but when I presented the bill to the owner, he immediately wrote a check for the entire amount! Recently I hit my first deer in my pick up truck and cause significant damage. I insisted that the truck be repaired here and the Insurance claims agent was more than happy to have them fix it! First, let me vent!! A review should pertain to the work or service that the business performs. In the case of one review of Hangtown Body it does not have a thing to do with either. The viewer is upset about a sign which had 18 stripes and 12 stars. Did she get out of her car and count them. Get a life!!! Note that this "review" was the only one she has ever posted. Maybe Jennifer you can add some positive reviews to Yelp and become an informative poster. Now back to my experience with Hangtown. I brought my car in for repair of damage to the door. The body shop in Auburn, which I have used, came back with an estimate of $1200. Hangtown's estimate was around $500. The actual charge when I picked up my car was $435. The work was done beautifully and the door was restored to original condition. Great job Hangtown and also thanks for your friendly office staff and other workers. read more

Great body shop. I asked if they could get my rear door working on my explorer without having to purchase a new one. They did! Welded a hinge on that was tore off. Saved me $. A few weeks later I had a problem with my rear window. They where closed due to holiday but the painter was inside working. He stopped what he was doing and got my window fixed! My wife had a repair done here on her 2000 Jeep Wrangler after an accident requiring replacement of major steering components. After getting the car back I noticed a "popping" sound when turning from one direction to the other. We took it back and they said it had nothing to do with what they replaced. We took it to another shop and the mechanic found the tie rod ends my ins. company paid for, weren't even tightened. The nut holding the Pitman arm was almost all the way off!!. This would certainly have been disastrous seeing how it controls the steering!!! I CANNOT in good conscience recommend this shop read more

No stars preferably. I should post more often especially for good services and experiences instead of making a point to express dissatisfactions. However, I feel its important to make a note when an experience with a service provided is way off in an attempt to possibly save someone else from the same. Workmanship, mechanical and paint, poor. Full of fisheye, particulate. Improper prep and likely sprayed in the parking lot instead of a filtered spray booth. Difficult to believe they would attempt to send a car out in that condition. When I asked about the workmanship they actually told me "It's good enough". They did, reluctantly, make a half effort to improve it but weren't able to meet even a low level of acceptability in my opinion. Just decent would have been OK. Regarding the personal interaction with the employees: somethings wrong in Hatetown. I am not from the area and never did feel good during my time there. I am guessing these people are born and raised here because noticeably, many share similar behavioral characteristics. Perhaps if you are local or know these people maybe you can get a good job. I did find out the same people are affiliated with the A1 Bumpers in Shingle Springs. Maybe they are qualified to work on bumpers there. read more
