I've used Kniesel's for repairing my car door last year, and they did an excellent job. They guarantee their work. They are ultra professional and super nice at the same time. The best thing, though, is I've called them twice since then for other repair jobs which turned out to be something they don't handle themselves, when it's not accompainied with body damage. For example, I needed my car painted after it was damaged from having an advertising wrap removed. They sent me to a place in Rancho Cordova (Maaco) that they use. Maaco did an awesome job and I've already given them a review as well. Today I called Kniesel's again because I need my driver's side window replaced. They gave me the name of the sister company they use for window repair (Nex Automotive). I called Nex, and they were super nice, and I'm looking forward to them fixing my window next week. But how cool is it that you can call Kniesel's, and if they can't do the work, they will find someone for you that will? I'm so impressed with Kniesel's. I highly recommend them. read more

Dirty Business! Got an estimate for body damage to my truck about a month ago -written by Hailey Blythe- assured me that it was well inline with other shops and submitted it to my insurance"GEICO". My insurance said they would not accept the estimate and that they would meet me at Kniesel to negotiate a better price. Met at shop and they lowered the estimate by over $1500. When i went back to schedule my repair Hailey told me that they would not do the repair for the lower estimate and that Geico told them the claim had been paid so if i was going to pay them directly i would have to pay $1500 more as in the original estimate and they would require a deposit to schedule the work. So the contract with them means nothing and if you are a consumer you are going to pay about 20 percent more. read more

After making me wait while the person that I had a appointment with was in a meeting scheduled for the same time, I complained. They reciprocated by totalling my car worth over 19,000 dollars for a minor dent in the bumper. I feel like they were trying to punish me for complaining. Someone opened their car door while hubs was pulling into a parking space. Ka-pow! Needless to say this caused some pretty noticeable damage to the front bumper. Ugh. Anyways, the other drivers insurance claimed fault. Hubs chose this Kniesel shop to do the auto body repair work. They did a good job. They communicated well and provided quality workmanship. Hubs called them to schedule an appointment. Kniesel worked with our insurance company to get the info. After that was all squared away, Kniesel called to arrange a date. They were booked about 6 weeks out. We didn't mind the wait. During our car drop off walk through, we also pointed out some scratches and dings. The associate circled them and said he can have those buffed out. We got the car back within 3 days as estimated. Oh darn, the stretches and dings were still there. But hey, the bumper was fixed. It's been close to two months now. There are no issues. No engine problems, no paint flaking or streaking ... nothing. read more

Nothing but positive praise for these very kind people. There were a few misunderstandings with my insurance company, the last thing you want after an accident. Then my car decided on the way there it would die on the freeway.After all the paperwork was completed,Uber came, and I thought I called it a day. The next thing I know is I got a call asking if I had left the key there, they couldn't find it. I was positive I had,but low and behold, it was in my purse. We have had collision work done here in the past and the quality was excellent. This five-star review, however, is for work that wasn't done. I took in a car for an elderly relative that was missing a mirror cap. Brian Yates wrote a full estimate for what I thought was a very reasonable price. He then explained that I could pick-up the part at a dealership and simply snap it in place for less than half the cost. He even offered that, if I had any trouble installing it, he would be happy to help. Mind blown! I picked up the part and it took 30 seconds to install. I have a 2021 Ford Superduty "aluminum body" and I had someone run into the passenger rear bed side. I chose Kniesel's because they are one of very few shops in the area which have the factory welding/self piercing rivet machinery to return the aluminum body to factory specs. (yes I called around A LOT of shops) The alternative for other shops approved by Ford are pop rivets....which would be visible....not a chance.... The other body shop I was deciding on was the Ford dealer body shop, but they were booked 5 weeks out, Kniesel's was booked 2 weeks out. I drop the truck off on the agreed upon date and pick up a rental across the freeway. The repair time was determined to be 10 days. I dropped off on 11/15, so counting Thanksgiving and the Friday after, I called on 11/30 (9 working days post drop off). Octavio my service writer tells me "we are on track to deliver your truck on 12/14 as we agreed....COME AGAIN??? ZERO COMMUNICATION with Octavio. I talk to Brian, the General Manager and he related the specific machinery used on the aluminum panels had been down a number of days and a technician had to be called in to repair, and there were some other delays with my insurance company.....All of which I understood, but how about some communication. So 12/14 rolls around and I go pick the truck up. I had some questions and concerns about the "fit and finish" but its a truck and not a custom car, and it matches all the rest of the factory finishes, so overall I'm happy with the work. My overall goal was for it to be returned to factory finish, which they did. I would definitely recommend Kinesel's to anyone with a Ford aluminum body truck. I would encourage Kniesel's to work with their service writers on better communication skills. read more

I own a Tesla model Y. On my way home from my sons house on Lotus Road I hit a turkey. It cost $2800 worth of damage. I took it to Keniesel's's in the Sacramento shop because they don't work on Teslas in shingle Springs. After only two weeks they return my Tesla much better than when I brought it in. It actually runs better. This company is amazing and deserves all of the positive accolades they receive. I wish more businesses operated the way they do. read more

My dad's truck was crashed and heard Kniesels was a really good auto body shop, so we took it to them. We were told it was going to take around 1 to 1 1/2 months to get it all nice and fixed up. They kept trying to push the date back a few times because different parts were being delayed. We ended up going back to the shop and seeing most of the parts there and nothing done to the truck. I don't know where to start and don't really want to emotionally rehash everything Kniesel's put us through. I can say that Octavio, the manager responsible for our vehicle repair seemed to care and tried, but this job was over his head. The site's General Manager, Aaron, was unbelievably unprofessional. I come from a family of Administrators and the level of disorganization and confusion amongst the administration at this site was shocking. Aaron didn't know what was going on with the vehicles in the shop, why parts had not been ordered, why things were taking so long, nor did he care whatsoever. He spoke to me as if it was a joke. When he heard me on the phone with my spouse, I turned around and saw him smirking. He was literally getting off on me being upset. I will never refer anyone to this repair shop. My insurance adjustor didn't advise me to go to Kniesels- Shingle Springs and suggested I go with a different shop nearby. Now I know why. I am sorry I ever crossed paths with this shop and it's management. read more

I was absolutely blown away by the level of customer service and professionalism I received. My car had fairly minor damage but everything that was told to me/estimated and promised was all within not only a reasonable timeframe but done exactly when it was told to me it would be. The work seems adequate, and it seemed to be done pretty quickly (a little over a week turn around for a rear-ending). My complaint is mostly with the customer service. I had to call every couple days to be updated, never the other way around. Also, when I picked up my car it wasn't cleaned. As a little side note: when first inspected there was a small paint scrape that was unrelated that the guy said that he would put paint on while painting the repair portion... that never happened. I can't complain about that necessarily because it was going to be a favor, but I'd rather he hadn't offered if they were not going to follow through. All in all, car stuff isn't fun and they didn't make it worse-- but they lacked in communication and customer service. read more

I have the day off today for New Years. Since I'm not in the office helping other people, I thought that I'd take a minute and do something for myself for a change (new year's resolution) and schedule an appointment for a weekend time to get an estimate for my insurance company. Deer vs. small truck didn't end well for either of us last week end.Terry called me back within a hour of sending the email. ON NEW YEAR'S DAY? ARE YOU KIDDING? So, I start to tell him what happened and ask when they are going to be open during the holiday and my wife asks me while I'm talking to Terry if he could come out today to the house and take a look? I didn't even want to ask, but I did. Believe it or not, Terry was in the office doing some last year end things and said that he could stop by. REALLY? A HOUSE CALL ON NEW YEARS DAY? Met with Terry in the driveway to go over our "issues." Terry was awesome. He took pics and the information that he needs to contact my insurance company and within a 1/2 hour or so he was off. During the conversation I asked if I could drop off my truck on Saturday. They are closed for the holiday but he will be in the shop doing other things...and yes, he will receive my truck...again working on a holiday for ME! CUSTOMER SERVICE TO THE MAX!! Only bad thing...apparently my insurance carrier requires the use of non-Toyota parts. If the parts don't fit well or they are of poor quality, they can then be substituted for Toyota parts. Unfortunately, that means that Kniesel's had to paint and install a front fender flare only to find out that it didn't fit well. Also, they had to install a new headlight only find out that it didn't match the other side. Their commitment to the quality of my repair included doing some to the job twice. But I must say Brian was top notch! He was wonderful to work with, so nice and went the extra mile! They go the extra mile here. After hours of back and forth phone calls between the insurance company, the car rental company, Kyle from Kniesel's and I we seemed to have figured out that the car rental reservation was made but that it did not go through and no one let the other parties know. There was a lot of miscommunication between the rental car company, insurance and Kniesel's but I have decided to give Kniesel's a shot at making this right. Horrible first impression and I will never return here. My car was involved in an accident in May and once I received confirmation that the other drivers insurance was going to take care of the repairs I called Kniesel's in Shingle Springs because they are right on my way to work and have heard good things about them. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very helpful in setting up my appointment and told me that my rental car and everything with insurance would be all set up and ready to go for me since I was dropping my car off on my way to work. When I arrived this morning for my appointment to drop my car off (scheduled over 2 weeks in advance) there was no rental ready for me. My file had no rental information filled out on it for the gentleman helping me to reference (the lady I spoke to was not in the office yet). Seemed like a simple mistake, so he called the rental company and they came to pick me up. Got in to the rental office and there had in fact been no reservation made and not only that there was nothing ever sent to the insurance company so they could even approve my rental. So after wasting over an hour of time (while trying to still make it to work on time) I had to call Kniesel's and tell them I will need to come back and pick up my car because there was no reservation made for me and they can not get approval from the insurance at this time. I get a ride back to Kniesel's and when I arrive they can not find my car keys. While waiting for them to find my keys I asked the lady at the desk, who has since arrived, to please confirm that she was in fact supposed to set up my rental she said she did and then tried to say that the rental company is lying to me because they possibly don't have any cars available. That was absurd! If you dropped the ball on my rental do not try and blame it on another company. It is obvious that a rental was never set up because the insurance didn't get a request to approve a rental, which the rental car company says happens with this company a lot. Whatever the issue they have going on in this office, if you choose to work with them I would be cautious leaving anything up to them to take care of. read more
