I was referred to Dr Pettet from my miitary provider. He has been caring and thorough. After over a…read moreyear of pain, he made new orthotics for me and scheduled my surgery. His staff is kind and competent. They worked with my Tricare insurance to ensure all referrals and approvals are done correctly. Dr Pettet explained what he was going to do for my surgery at least 3 times, to make sure I understood. Everyone at the Summit Surgery Center was kind and professional. They took great care of me. I am in recovery now and hope to heal quickly!! I would attach the pic of my plantar fascia tissue he removed, but that may be gross to some!

Very disappointed in Dr. Benenati and his office team. In my first visit Dr. Benenati confirmed…read morewhat I already knew that my problem was Plantar fasciitis. He then taped my foot and told me to come back in a week. The tape did help but I still had pain. The second visit lasted less then 5 minutes. He retaped the foot and told me that was all he could do for me. That I had to get orthotics and unless I wanted to get custom orthotics from him($400 you could get $200 back if they didn't work) there was no reason to come back to him. So after a less than satisfying experience I find out that insurance will only cover $35 of $285 bill. When I inquired about this with the office person to see if there were options on the coding the insurance bill, she very pompously stated the codes were right. I then said that I should have been notified that not all charges would be covered by my insurance.(Anthem) She stated that it was my job to know that. How can a patient check their insurance ahead of time when they don't even know what procedures the practice is going to charge for. I told her other doctor offices will let you know up front if there are issues with the insurance.. She said "good for those doctors", So if you are going to see Dr. Benenati and his friendly office person be aware that you could foot most of the bill. They won't help you ahead of time or afterward.
