Daytona Roll. The mango drizzle was a tad bit sweet but still a satisfactory taste!

Our takeout was ready at the time stated for pick-up. VERY courteous service. They're oh so very nice! 5% off if paying with cash. Food is pretty decent for what we ordered. My descriptions are under my images. Would go back. Just don't go during peak periods. Parking is limited to parallel street parking. I did have to park a wee distance away.

Hanki Sushi is run by such an incredible and lovely couple. They always greet customers with a smile and are very friendly. The sushi is always fresh and great quality. My family always orders the 78 piece, as it is a great value for your money. My personal favourite is the Aburi Salmon Nigiri, the seared salmon is phenomenal. Highly recommend this place!

A take out only shop with a mom and pop feel in a growing area. They have some growing pains, but I think they will be somethign big if they florish. Small sashimi platter - Pretty standard cheap sushi, sliced about 7.5 mm thin, would not recommend this as fish quality is not their strong suit. Black dragon roll - Was decenty sized and had an ok flavour. Shrimp tempura was a bit stale and did not provide a pleasurable texture, would advise against getting any roll with tempura in it. Inari sushi - Sweet and vinegary tofu with rice. This was delivious and would recommend. Although they messed up the order, they more than made up for it by not charing an item + adding extra items. And so, I believe they're in the business to please and for that I was mostly pleased. If I am ever near this area and require cheap takeout sushi, this would be my goto place.

Got some dinner here tonight, ordered and aburi rainbow dragon roll and a small sushi platter. Was local to me so thought I would check it out. Starting with the aburi rainbow dragon roll, it is $17.50, but a lot goes into it. It was packed with a lot of delicious fresh fish and that sauce was quite tasty. Small platter was nice, the sushi looked like there is special care/pairing of garnishes on each piece , like a pickled vegetables. I think one had a citrus taste to it. Fish was very fresh and I like the rice. My wife prefers the wetter rice but this rice is on the dryer side , but I like it like that and this is my review :). Overall was a great experience, nice mom and pop type shop with friendly people here. Would go back again as there are still lots of dishes to try and they are close by.

This sushi place is amazing! I found this place online via a Maps search so I didn't know what to expect but it was perfect for a birthday dinner. They have online ordering available which is so convenient these days. I placed my order for pickup and the estimated time it would be ready was 15 minutes later. I wasn't able to pay online with card so it instructed me to pay at the restaurant. All of the food came in environmentally friendly compostable containers. The rolls were very neat and tidy presentation wise and they still made as much effort to make the take out look as pretty as you'd expect it to be in the restaurant. One super cute detail is that they made the wasabi look like waves and topped it with a carrot slice that was shaped like a fish! So adorable. The items that we ordered were: PS04. Salmon Sashimi $20 - This came with 15 pieces of sashimi. All of the pieces were a decent thickness. There were two pieces that were particularly fatty which were a lot stronger in flavour. HA01. Aburi Polar Bear Roll $15 - This roll is topped with torched white tuna and had very pretty uncut scallion garnishes on the top. The roll was really good with the smokiness and unagi sauce. HR15. Hawaiian Volcano Roll $17 - A standout roll that I haven't seen attempted anywhere else. The topping was the highlight as it contained mango, spicy salmon, and a crunch topping that added a lot of texture to the roll. The inside was completed with tempura shrimp, avocado, and cucumber for some freshness to contrast from the crunchy topping. HP01. Salmon Pressed Sushi $15 - If I see pressed sushi, I buy pressed sushi. Another tasty choice. I will admit that all of these rolls were pricier than other places that I frequent. I did think that the price of the rolls was justified as the presentation and uniqueness factor were high. Not all places do pressed or torched sushi! I'm so excited to have found this place and will be ordering again.

TR02 - medium maki roll tray (46 pcs) for $45

3.5/5 This little sushi shop is located on Cooper Creek's new townhouse houses (main floor is for commercial and upper floor is residential). It is new and clean and there is parking available on the street. I made the order on their website. It says on their site that party trays need to be ordered at least 30-60min ahead (depending on the size). The medium maki tray I ordered didn't take that long to make as they called me to let me know my order is ready before the hour mark. Staff was friendly. They accepted both debit and credit cards. The maki tray was meh. Nothing spectacular but you can tell that they made a lot of effort to make it look nice. The sashimi on top of the rainbow roll was very very thinly sliced. So thin that I could barely taste the fish - same with the Philadelphia roll. The spicy crab was literally just a piece of the fake crab meat wrapped with rice and seaweed with spicy mayo. I was expecting at least a crab salad roll. Dynamite roll had too much crunch on top to my liking. The black dragon roll was tasty, no complaint. I will prolly try this place again. I might not order the maki tray again but will definitely try their other rolls.

Recommended to try their aburi sushi, pressed sushi and their special rolls. Take advantage of their pick up special, which is really good in value! 10% discount if you pay with cash. We ordered a few dishes with brown rice, which I would not recommend (you have to add a few extra dollars depending on the roll) - the only complaint is that it felt a bit undercooked, so on the harder end. Be careful with their rolls - be sure to check for plastic wrap as we found a tidbits of plastic wrap that were stuck to the rolls. Their tempura shrimp was very heavily battered (as you can see in my last picture). It probably would've been super crunchy if it was eaten fresh, but it ended up being soggy dough by the time we had it. Take out can never do sushi justice!

Although this is a busy brunch restaurant, the turnover happens fast, and we have never waited more than 30 minutes for a seat. Starving Artist has a wide array of coffees and teas as well as waffles and 'Bennies. We have tried quite a few of the drinks during our visits, and we have tried many of their signature dishes. The staff are great and always accommodating and very patient when my kids can't make up their minds about what they want to eat or drink. The servers have helped my kids on more than one occasion make up their minds. This is a great place for breakfast, brunch or even late afternoon coffee, and we try to go at least once a month.

You pass through a charming patio to enter, which was shaded nicely thanks to the size of the Shoppers building. Given the recent heatwave, we opted to sit indoors. We were greeted at the door and offered the choice between a two-person table tucked farther inside or a four-person table closer to other diners. We chose the smaller table for a bit more privacy and ease of conversation. Menus were provided right away, followed shortly by tap water. When our server checked in to ask about drinks, we let her know we were fine with just water. Later, when we were ready to order, she came promptly when we called her over. A standout moment: we ordered just one smoothie, and she kindly asked if we were sharing, then offered to split it into two cups without us even asking. A thoughtful and appreciated gesture. The Pineapple Banana Smoothie was a highlight. It was perfectly balanced between sweet and tart, and incredibly refreshing. My sister ordered the Halloumi Benedict. She noted that while the waffles leaned toward a sweeter flavor on their own, the combination of waffle, egg, and halloumi was well-balanced and worked beautifully together. The egg was jammy and spot-on in terms of taste, texture, and presentation. I had the Fully Loaded, which features a potato waffle topped with bacon bits, sour cream, chives, and cheese. It leaned a bit salty, but not overwhelmingly so, still quite enjoyable overall. I loved the potato waffle which has the slightly crispy edges but was soft to bite with a texture that resembled mash potatoes. As someone who isn't usually crazy about waffles, which was such a nice alternative. Each of our mains came with a side salad (lightly dressed and refreshing) and a choice of fruit salad, maple baked beans, or potato salad. We both chose the fruit salad, which was impressively varied with orange, grapefruit, watermelon, blueberry, blackberry, and banana. Note: Payment is cash or debit only.

There wasn't a ton of seating, but it was comfortable enough with its booths and a few tables in the middle. We ordered a French toast special (comes with eggs and sausage and bacon), a crab cakes Benedict, and 2 kids meals (one penne with meat sauce and a pancake). Kids meals come with a juice box (or you could pay $1 more to get an adult apple juice for example). I had the crab cakes Benedict. It was not what I was expecting because it's actually eggs on crab cakes and hollandaise sauce. The thing that threw me off was no English muffin. Can't say I absolutely loved it but it was decent. It came with potatoes that were sort of cooked in a curry. Again a little unconventional but it tasted good and had a slight kick to it (mildly spicy) The kids pancake was done well. You could choose from many different flavours but we went with original. It was just the right consistency and made the kids happy. The surprising item was the kids penne in meat sauce. We thought the sauce was done really well and the pasta was cooked just right. We completely ate the whole dish (and it was generous for a kids meal). And the whole family enjoyed it. Overall food was decent but what pushed it to the next level was the service. It was attentive and thoughtful, not overbearing but friendly. I'll probably try a different dish next time but will definitely be back again.

Due to the number of guests that day, the space around our table was quite tight and cozy but that was fine by us. The servers were super friendly and when we had questions about the menu, they were able to help us narrow down our decisions (it was quite hard to choose because everything looked amazing!). My boyfriend got the Gochujang Chicken and Waffles with a juice (I believe it was lychee), and I got the Char Siu Benedict with a Hojicha Latte. The portion was much bigger than we had expected for the Gochujang Chicken and Waffles, which was definitely the highlight of the entire meal because this is a DEFINITE MUST TRY for the sweet/savoury combo lovers out there (note: the chicken wasn't a large thigh or two like other brunch restaurants we have been to, but rather chunks of chicken that were perfectly tossed in the gochujang). The Char Siu Benedict was also amazing, and I got truffle fries and a side salad. The Hojicha latte was recommended by not only the staff but also another diner who was seated next to us, and I definitely loved the rich flavour of the Hojicha. We will definitely come back (I dream about the Gochujang Chicken and Waffles), and I would highly recommend Sisters & Co for anyone in the Milliken/Markham area looking for an amazing Brunch spot!

After many years since our last visit, we came to celebrate the winter solstice tonight with a…read morefamily dinner. My dad got the T-Bone special at medium (originally it was only meant for the 23rd onwards) which was allowed because the original owner was present tonight. My mom got the Certified Angus medium. I got the New York steak for myself at rare doneness. For the soup that came with I upgraded mine to French Onion and my parents took the regular/daily which was also accompanied by garlic bread-ish. Additionally, I got a Long Island Iced Tea and in the process of it caught a conversation between Kitchen and Old Owner that their ice machine is broken so I have NO IDEA where the ice for my drink came from--other than that it tasted fine and the old owner personally made it. T-Bone was not up to par. It was exceedingly tough according to my dad and inconsistently cooked. It was closer to a medium well than a medium rare-medium and subsequently whether from improper prep or age of the cut, it wasn't juicy. From what I witnessed when I did look up at my dad, it was tough to cut no matter how small or large he sliced it. Certified Angus was passable. My mom didn't have many complaints nor praises so take that as you will. Could tell at a glance the vegetables were the family pack frozen ones from Costco. My New York Steak was passable-ish. The fat cap wasn't rendered down properly and the steak itself was slightly tough in certain areas. The doneness was fine at rare, but with all this in mind--if you want a consistent cook medium to well seems to be the way. My problem mainly with the food lies in seasoning and ingredient quality. The vegetables are for some reason visually and texturally rough and fuzzy? They melt in your mouth in the worst way possible. There is no crunch, not even on the carrot. It was mush, plain and simply, same with the mashed potatoes. No seasoning aside from gravy and actual mush it was melting every forkful into my mouth. No hint of garlic, butter, milk or cream--just bland potato mush with gravy. Ambiance? Nothing at all. I don't know what to describe it other than quiet and empty. There was one other table aside from ours and one take-out order. From the bits of conversation with the old owner, I gleaned that at the turnover at first, regulars were aplenty but they tapered off and dwindled as time went on and that looks to be accurate based on reviews here on Yelp and over on Google. Business has been slowing down and much of it is attributed to the declining quality both in service and food/ingredients. The new owners of the establishment bought this restaurant for the brand name but didn't upkeep the standard for food, quality, and service. There's just no business acumen from the new owners from what I can see based on reviews of this year and my experience tonight. The old owner was the saving grace for this visit on Saturday December 20th, otherwise the rating might drop to a 1 or 2 out of 5.
