I think is a good price for lunch $9.95 plus tax, I got the beef koobideh and chicken koobideh. It came with salad and rice plus the naan. I felt like the portion is a bit smaller compared to the places I have been in Scarborough. It still Tasted great though, and there are no better restaurant nearby. They have Family combos you can pick from which I thought was convenient. I would come back if I am craving afghan food when In Markham.

I ordered the Vaziri Koobideh and the Soup of the Day. The Vaziri Koobideh comes with a skewer of beef Koobideh and chicken koobideh over rice, with a salad and Afghani naan. The soup of the day was what I think is ash reshteh, a chickpea and bean soup with spaghetti noodles. I think the portion sizes were very fair for the price. Not overflowing with rice and salad but definitely a good amount of food. The two Koobideh were seasoned well but I found the beef one to be a bit dry. I recommend the chicken koobideh, it was tasty and juicy. The sauces they have on the side are also good. The salad didn't have much dressing though. The soup came super hot which I appreciate. Plenty of beans and noodles and tasted good. And it comes with naan which was crusty with a fluffy interior. Worth trying since there aren't many Afghan restaurants in that area but it doesn't beat out the options you can get in Scarborough. I saw that they have some good $10 deals for lunch.

I opted for the Vaziri Koobideh dinner. It consisted of one skewer of Chicken Koobideh (charbroiled and seasoned ground chicken kebob) and one skewer of Beef Koobideh (charbroiled and seasoned ground beef kebob). It came with a side salad, Afghan Naan and a mountain of rice! The meats were juicy and cooked and seasoned to perfection. They had a nice char grill and were not dry at all. The two skewers of meat was plenty I was stuffed. The rice was fluffy and tasted great. The Salad was a nice refresher for the hot meal. The Naan was super soft and accompanied the meal perfectly. This is a new restaurant to the area as they have only been around 7 months but if they keep up with this quality they will be around for many years to come. I look forward to slowly trying out the rest of the menu!

Compare to other afghan kebab places in Scarborough like Naan and Kabob and Kandahar Kabab, this place gives you less rice and salad and the bread is smaller. Taste and texture/juiciness of the meat, i would say it's on-par, but still prefer the other places. PRO: takes all Credit Card including Amex. Overall, if you live close by and don't have access to a car, it could be a good place to eat.

Heads-up to fellow Americans: If you're visiting from the United States, bring Canadian cash! Credit and debit cards issued in the United States are not accepted here. Nonetheless, the staff was really helpful and attentive while explaining their payment procedure. They walked me through the alternatives with no haste or attitude, which made the experience even more inviting. I ordered the Sultani Plate, which included a skewer of tender koobideh and a perfectly grilled barg kabob. The meat was juicy, tasty, and beautifully grilled. The rice was buttery and fragrant, and the side salad provided a welcome fresh crunch. My wife and kids chose the Chicken Chapli Kabab Plate, and we were all impressed. The patties were juicy, seasoned just right, and went perfectly with the rice and naan. It's a terrific choice for both adults and children, as it's tasty but not overly spicy. We also got Mango Shakes and bottled water. The shakes were thick and creamy, with a tropical sweetness that complemented the savory foods well. A terrific way to calm down and finish the meal. Atmosphere-wise, the setting was clean, family-friendly, and busy--but service was efficient. You could tell this place is popular among locals, and for good reason. Whether you're a local or a guest, Bamiyan Kabob is a must-stop for anyone looking for hearty, tasty Afghan cuisine delivered with real friendliness. Just don't forget your Canadian dollars!

Food is amazing, but service is non existent…read more Food 5/5 Service 1/5 Ambiance 4/5 Came with a reso for five adults and got seated promptly. The restaurant got busier throughout the night. The restaurant has a beautiful interior and high ceilings. Service here is little to none. Which is unfortunate since their food is so good. After taking our orders we were never checked on. Asked 2 different servers for extra serveware and never got it. Had to ask more than once to get water. Overall the service is BAD. What saves this place is definitely their food, as it's very delicious. Definitely start with their variety of dips for sharing. Here's what we got: Mix Appetizers 5/5 - Came with hummus, baba ganoush, spicy mashed and haydari. All delicious and served with fresh bread. Mixed Pide 5/5 - This was also great for sharing and tasting the variety of pide options. Came with cheese, minced meat, and sausage. Mix Kebab for 2 5/5 - This was more than enough to share with the five of us, as portions are large, especially when you are ordering other sides. A variety of meats including lamb, chicken, beef served with rice and salad. The meal ends with complimentary tea. Overall, delicious spot with great food but just lacks any type of service. So good that I'd still come back for their food.

The restaurant's modern decor makes it feel elevated, but it's not stuffy or posh inside at all. I've never had Turkish food before, so I can't comment on the authenticity or taste, but I really enjoyed our meal! The pide was like a naan, and it tasted so good with that generous cheese topping and the complimentary yoghurt-based dip. The beef doner was also tasty, and I was not expecting that gigantic pile of meat! Stuffing that beef between the flatbread with some of that yogurt dip, add some pickled red onions, cucumber, & tomato = perfection. Looking forward to my next visit!
