Loved that we got our money's worth! The beef for both dishes were really delicious, very well seasoned and the grilled beef wasnt chewy at all. I was really surprised at how tender it was as well as the fact that it wasn't dry at all. Both dishes came with a healthy serving of salad and rice, as well as bread. Had the pleasure to stop by Real Kebab. Took advantage of their $19.99 2 can dine special. 2 chicken or beef kebabs on rice, salad, naan and 2 soft drinks. Incredible value especially as they make the kebabs to order guaranteeing succulent meat. Rice was fragrant and long grain. You're also greeted by a friendly women who is really helpful. My husband & I love love love this place! We always order takeout in advance online. We are able to pick the date & time we want to pick up our order and it has 95% of the time been ready upon arrival. I've tried their Sultani (ground beef & beef fillet) combo however found the fillet too dry for my liking so I always just order the beef koobideh which is the ground beef skewers (x2). It comes with rice, salad (sooo good even though there is chickpeas in it) plus naan. My husband always orders one of their sandwiches. We always enjoy the food. It is so tasty and the portion is sufficient. I'm able to have two small meals from the beef koobideh order. This restaurant is located in the MarkhaMack Center off Markham Road just south of Major Mackenzie on the East side. There are a few tables inside if you choose to dine-in. There is a good sized parking lot and parking is always available. The staff there are friendly and the one time that we had to wait a bit for our food, she gave us a free drink for having us have to wait. I think is a good price for lunch $9.95 plus tax, I got the beef koobideh and chicken koobideh. It came with salad and rice plus the naan. I felt like the portion is a bit smaller compared to the places I have been in Scarborough. It still Tasted great though, and there are no better restaurant nearby. They have Family combos you can pick from which I thought was convenient. I would come back if I am craving afghan food when In Markham. read more

I ordered the Vaziri Koobideh and the Soup of the Day. The Vaziri Koobideh comes with a skewer of beef Koobideh and chicken koobideh over rice, with a salad and Afghani naan. The soup of the day was what I think is ash reshteh, a chickpea and bean soup with spaghetti noodles. I think the portion sizes were very fair for the price. Not overflowing with rice and salad but definitely a good amount of food. The two Koobideh were seasoned well but I found the beef one to be a bit dry. I recommend the chicken koobideh, it was tasty and juicy. The sauces they have on the side are also good. The salad didn't have much dressing though. The soup came super hot which I appreciate. Plenty of beans and noodles and tasted good. And it comes with naan which was crusty with a fluffy interior. Worth trying since there aren't many Afghan restaurants in that area but it doesn't beat out the options you can get in Scarborough. I saw that they have some good $10 deals for lunch. read more

I opted for the Vaziri Koobideh dinner. It consisted of one skewer of Chicken Koobideh (charbroiled and seasoned ground chicken kebob) and one skewer of Beef Koobideh (charbroiled and seasoned ground beef kebob). It came with a side salad, Afghan Naan and a mountain of rice! The meats were juicy and cooked and seasoned to perfection. They had a nice char grill and were not dry at all. The two skewers of meat was plenty I was stuffed. The rice was fluffy and tasted great. The Salad was a nice refresher for the hot meal. The Naan was super soft and accompanied the meal perfectly. This is a new restaurant to the area as they have only been around 7 months but if they keep up with this quality they will be around for many years to come. I've been twice and I've only had the beef chapli. It's so memorable that I did not want to try anything else. The 2 sauces , 1 is a hot sauce and the other is garlic?, are quite flavorful. The rice itself was amazing. I opted for more rice than salad, because I can pull my own lettuce and cut my own tomatoes but wouldnt know where to start with this type of rice. The owners and workers are super friendly so that's always nice. One thing to note is that their lunch special is not really a lunch "special" it's really a lunch size portion. Maybe I missed the sign note somewhere but I got the beef chapli and I only got 1 piece of chapli. I called them and they said yes it's 1 piece because there were some ppl that thought their regular portion was too much for lunch. I would not have made that comment. Either or, maybe it was my fault and I have noted for next time, but I'm still going back again but for their regularly priced items. read more

This newly opened restaurant, located just north of Mount Joy Go Train station, is a small operation. Their menu is not huge, but has a decent selection of food. I ordered the lamb koobideh, and the chapli kebab. Most of their meals come with a side of flavoured basmati rice, a piece of naan, and a small salad. The meats were delicious. They were well seasoned and juicy. The salad was a simple salad, but it is quite small. The meal also came with two sauces, one was a hot sauce and the other was a yogurt sauce. Decided to try this new Afghan place that just opened near me. I ordered the chicken breast kebab through SkipTheDishes. First thing I noticed was how light the take out bag was which meant very small portion of food. I opened the box and I was right. Small portions of both salad and rice. Usually from my experiences with Afghan food, they don't skimp out on the rice. Both the rice and chicken breast seemed under season, but the chicken breast was cooked well. Had the Chicken Koobideh Kebab & Beef Koobideh, both were amazing! Meat was tender and juicy on a bed of soft rice and salad. Only thing I would crave is a dressing on the salad. I've been to this restaurant a few times now and have tried the chicken, beef and lamb koobideh as well as the lamb chops. Their meats are consistently cooked and seasoned perfectly. Their naan is home made and very soft. One of my favorite dishes by far is their mantu. The sauce goes perfectly with their dumplings and is definitely a must try. Overall, their portion sizes are very generous for the price and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious kebabs in the area! read more
