Buying a home in North Carolina while…read morecoordinating a major move from California was one of the most stressful experiences I've ever been through, and Nikalas Burton and his team made the closing process feel seamless. He was professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything was handled correctly. I always felt like I was in good hands. I also have to recognize Mona, who runs the office. She is one of the kindest people I've met and extremely professional. If you're looking for a real estate attorney who truly cares about their clients and not just the transaction, I highly recommend Burton Law. I'm incredibly grateful for everything they did. Thank you, Nik and Mona, for helping me start this new chapter in North Carolina!

He answered every "stupid" question my family had with patience and respect. He was very easy to talk to and I feel very comfortable reaching out with more of those "stupid" questions. Although this process has just begun, we feel that Mr Burton will be very easy to work with and we can comfortably put our faith in him to lead us in the right direction. I look forward to working with him now and in the future.

Thank you so much for your help with our situation with the Internal Revenue Service. I had…read moreprepared and paid my taxes correctly each year, but the tax service I used for 4 years did not file them properly. Instead of penalizing my tax service, the IRS penalized me, even though I filed and paid my taxes every year. Originally, I considered hiring a Tax Resolution Service to represent me. But, after reading reviews for those companies, it appeared to me that many of their clients were simply trying to reduce their tax debt. In my case, I had done everything right, and I did not want to be labeled or looked at as someone who was just wanting to have their taxes reduced. I wanted the fines eliminated!!! At first, I tried to explain my situation on my own to the IRS. They denied my request the first time to eliminate my fines, as they said that even though I used a tax service to prepare my taxes, the results were still my responsibility. Finally, I hired this law firm to represent me in an appeal. I have no idea how you explained the situation better than I did, but I just received letters from the Internal Revenue Service stating that my account for those years was settled and paid in full. Thank you!!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!! I was facing around $15,000.00 in fines, and those fines were settled with the work you did representing me. I hope many people read my review and see what you could possibly do for them Sincerely: Danny Smith Statesville, NC

My husband and I hired Hal Berger from Berger & Kindberg Law to handle our home sale, which turned…read moreout to be a great decision. I had gotten fed up with our realtor, and was looking for a different solution to sell our home. Hal was FAR less expensive than a realtor (as in, remove a zero) with a flat fee no matter the complications (no hourly attorney fees!). So after 3 months of our house sitting on the market with a realtor, we fired the realtor, hired Hal, and were able to drop our home price by thousands to attract a buyer while still netting the same amount. The price drop worked, and we were under contract in 4 days. Hal knew how to draft a contract that protected our interests much better than a realtor would have, and looked out for issues from the buyer's side to also protect us. He was also very responsive - to the point that if I didn't get a response to an email within a couple hours, I knew he must be in court or some other impossible-to-respond situation. He made selling our own home without a realtor easy and lucrative. He was also a pleasure to work with. He saw it through to the very end. We highly recommend.

I am a professional in the real estate industry and just had a closing on the buyer side (not my…read moreclient) with 24 Hours closing Harry Marsh. It was a 100 day Cash closing and no commutation to the sellers attorney or updates. Mr. Marsh wrote up a super-fast Closing Disclosure and mistakes were made because no one read the OTP and it costed his client 2000. Do your research!

As well as the positive reviews, prospective customers would do well to read the following, which…read morerelates to a closing within the last 24 hours (today is June 16, 2021) and as such is a little more relevant than reviews written 12 months or two years ago. There are so many points to make that I will have to bullet them so that each receives consideration: 1) Google Maps takes one to the company's last address. if one relocates a company and does not ensure that Google Maps, Yahoo, etc do not reflect this move, then that should be a warning sign. Strike one. 2) Upon closing, we were encountered by a member of staff who said that he wasn't used to closings, and had been called on to deal with us at short notice. So you're telling me that, having been notified FOUR weeks ago, this is what you call short notice? Literally, how much notice do you need? As a result of this utter unprofessionalism, our purchase wasn't recorded that same day, and an entire afternoon was (for reasons I won't bore you with) in effect, wasted. Strike two. 3) If you're not used to closing, despite working for a company who literally advertises closing as being their area of expertise, then perhaps you have chosen the wrong profession and you can get me someone who is. This isn't work that you're doing pro bono, and I don't expect second best, in much the same way that if I were employing a criminal attorney, I wouldn't expect a public defender. Strike three and that should be it. But wait, there's more... 4) You introduce your female colleague as "your ASSISTANT," despite her knowing more about the whole process than you? Perhaps misogynism should be an area of specialization for you too. If there were such a thing, that would be strike four. 5) An issue with the paperwork was blamed on a third party (when it obviously had nothing to do with them) rather than the staff taking ownership of an issue they could, and should, have cleared up before hand. People's mileage may vary, but speaking personally I don't appreciate someone who blames mistakes on another person (who is not there to defend themselves) rather than being professional and taking ownership. 6) Admittedly, we are getting into nit-picking territory here, but it is still reflective of what should be a professional, paid-for service provided by a professional, paid-for attorney. Papers were out of order, in disarray, and lacking in "sign here" stickers (Employer, please take note. For a small outlay, you can look infinitely more professional even if you insist on employing staff who are "not used to closing"). Also, I have probably been to more closings than the lady and gentleman with whom we dealt, so please don't patronize me. The only reason I didn't voice my utter dissatisfaction at the entire process was out of respect for the fact that my wife and realtor were present. Had they not been, then this meeting would have been a lot shorter - as would this review - because I would have made my point at the time. The fact that a day later I still have the same opinion should be indicative of the fact that this review is no knee-jerk reaction. In closing, I can't tell someone to do business with this company or to look elsewhere. I feel it is my duty to warn others that might potentially endure the same treatment as me though. Having done so, I can in good conscience say "make up your own mind." But remember, when doing so, consider this: the best reviews are also among the shortest. That fact alone should tell you something. Buyer beware. Be very aware.
