Was looking for a late night activity after dinner and found Hank's Hatchets right across from the place we're staying! Went in around 8:45, they closed at 10 tonight (Tuesday). Great pricing for an hour of throwing and tons of boards and games to play to better your axe throwing! Also a lovely staff member (didn't quite catch his name!) gave some great tips on how to throw one arm, two arms, and the cool stars which I'd never thrown before! This was our first time trying axe throwing and it was so fun!! The staff was super chill and nice and taught us proper throwing form beforehand. There multiple lanes available and we were the one party there at the time so we had the place all to ourselves! They also have multiple games listed on the walls for you and your friends to try if you're interested with whiteboards hanging on each lane to keep score. My bestie wanted to come here for her birthday and I could only imagine how much fun we were going to have. After a brief expectation and rules presentation we were taught how to throw a big ax, small ax, and ninja star. Being a softball player, I instantly fell in love with the ninja star; way more accurate of a throw. You can bring in your own alcohol and pick a throwing lane. There are several instructional boards around you that explain different games and rules you can use while playing. The staff is super friendly, there is a nice room in the back for food and cocktails and the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for something fun and different to do! read more

Had such a blast here! My friends and I were the only ones there at the time, which was extra fun, but there were plenty of boards and axes to go around, even if they had been busy. Our coach, Josiah, lead us through the basics and rules. He was a great teacher and his pointers led me to a couple of bullseyes! What fun! Have never done Hatchet Tossing before. The staff was very attentive, very concern with safety and not only took time to ensure we learned, but checked in us often and even shared different tossing skills and suggested other games we could play. They were funny, helpful and entertaining. I'd definitely recommend this place. It was clean, the spaces was large and felt safe, the staff was concerned with safety- which to me, makes it an excellent place for first timers. They're were plenty of cages for tossing as well. Customer service was horrible. I own two businesses. I have been competing and throwing for 2+ years. Thrown at 25+ locations. I know how places work. Came in and was told "were full" asked if I could wait for a lane and was told again"we are full". Was told I could maybe throw on their "shitty targets" tomorrow Just horrible service. Just say you are booked up for the night and that you can't get me in. I'll go to the ones in Kalispell from now on. read more

This place is awesome. Super laid back environment. It was hard to tell the difference between the staff and patrons, because everyone is so friendly, full of tips and happy to be there. I didn't expect to like throwing hatchets as much as I did, but it wound up being an amazing time. Our friend, who is a hatchet and axe refurbisher, was allowed to bring a bunch of his own in to throw, so we had a lot to play with. This would be an awesome spot for a party, seems super family friendly and would make for a really fun date spot too. It's BYOB, inexpensive and super fun! Hanks was fun! We had a big group. We brought in some pizza and beer and enjoyed ourselves. I thought we had 2 hrs so we were practicing a lot but actually we only had an hour. Since it wasn't busy our guy let us finish up our game.. the workers are super chill and cool. Beware though, it looks easy but it's not! It's definitely a technique. Went as a group of six and had the best time competing in cornhole and race to 20 games. We all needed a little time to dial our throws in but before too long all of us were able to throw a bullseye!
