The older man with a mustache flipped me off with both hands when I changed lanes in front of him (Tow trucks drive slower I understand that, which is why I wanted to go around). When he took his exit by Parkway Plaza he stuck his hand out the window to flip me off one last time for as long as he could! I guess I really got to him :/ Be more professional..? When I look back on memories from my youth, I can't say I look back with fondness. Particularly my high school/college years when I first inherited my sister's old silver Nissan Sentra hatchback and later my brother's red 200SX with the pop up headlights that looked like it had a perpetual wink because one of the lights was broken. Both were prone to breaking down and leaving me stranded, so unless a cop or a good samaritan happened to see me on the road freaking out, I was SOL or stuck walking to the nearest exit or on the hunt for a call box because of car trouble. Unlike the youth of today, we weren't blessed with cell phones to get us out of a jam. For that matter, nor did we have time-out as punishment growing up as a kid, elaborate Sweet Sixteen parties, or internet. INTERNET!!! Instead, we were given the option of (in a Filipino household) a belt or slipper for our whoopings when we misbehaved, ghetto garage house parties to ring in our sixteen years of life and huge freaking phonebooks to, let's say, look up a good towing company. Before you call me a dinosaur, let me just say by the time you're my age, I still won't look my age mofo. ;p Hank's Towing proved to be my knight in shining armor when the clutch on my car went out today on the road. I literally could only shift with all my might into 1st and 2nd gear with my hazards on much to the annoyance of my fellow drivers, all the while, lurching violently at every stoplight when I tried to get my car moving again. Embarrassing, yes. When I finally made it home, I called a few towing companies, some giving me outrageous quotes and mileage fees. When I finally called Hank's Towing, Hank himself answered the phone. He was very courteous, answered all my questions and gave me the lowest price plus a flat rate with no additional fees. I need to tell you how GREAT Hanks Towing is. Hank did me a HUGE solid. My car hit some debris in the road on Old Highway 80 in Pine Valley pretty much in the middle of nowhere. The rim was damaged beyond repair and nobody and I mean no one had a rim for a 2012 Cadillac SRX. Even the dealer had to special order something so simple. Well two days later car was still in Pine Valley in nowheres ville. My "autoclub" quoted me an outrageous amount because it was out of my mileage range not to mention that even if I used them the supposed towing company would do it until the next afternoon if they felt like it. " that's a whole other story." Anyway I was referred by another company to call Hank's. Hank didnt hesitate at all. 45 minutes later I received a call from Hank and he was enroute with my vehicle and a very very reasonable price from Pine Valley to Eastlake. I called Roy Wheeler Automotive for a referral on a towing company. They said all the larger companies would charge the same, but referred me to an independent owner--Hanks Towing. Hank was in the middle of another job, but promptly arrived to fix the white Jeep my brother borrowed from our mom. Hank was friendly (if I called him at 11pm I would feel totally safe plus I had my three year old twins with me), professional (on time), knowledgeable (he fixed the problem right away on the spot without towing), honest (he suggested a few possibilities but the problem was simple--a corroded battery cable) and affordable. I was so happy I made sure to tip him. One last note, he is super detailed and came prepared with his own tools and jump start battery electric thingy...(sorry don't know what they are called). He also gave my brother tips on how to take care of the corroded battery cables that Hank cleaned to make sure the problem didn't happen again. I made sure to take a business card and made sure my brother had one too! I've been going to Roy Wheeler Auto for decades because of my in-laws and now I know why they recommended Hank. I needed my infiniti towed to a friends shop. Called tons of different tow companies and they all wanted $110+ to tow from my home in el cajon to national city which is 19 miles according to google maps. Called up hank, he gave me the best price in town without even asking what the competition quoted me. For the price, I was honestly expecting some guy with a old outdated tow truck, but he rolled up in a new flatbed truck (the nicest I've ever seen). I was concerned we would have issues getting my car on the flatbed because she is lowered. He knew exactly what to do without scratching my baby. I called a bigger company for a quote on how much it would be to tow my car 8.2 miles, it was $50 for the hook-up, and $7 per mile, putting it at $106. With my 10% student discount it would have been around $96. I called Hanks Towing, and they did it for $60. The driver called me in the am when he was picking it up, and again after he dropped it off. Everything was easy and the price was right! Plus they were courteous and friendly! read more

My daughter broke down in a bad area, a friend of mine suggested Hanks Towing. I called and told Hank the situation and they responded super fast to the scene, best of all they gave me a flat rate for the tow, Theyt didnt charge hook up or mileage, just one flat rate. It's nice to know upfront what your paying and they were very polite and professional. I would highly recommend them to anybody.
