The nail tech cut the skin around my big toe nail. As she was doing it I told her several times to stop because it was hurting and she kept pulling until it came off. This didn't need to happen the skin around my big toe was fine not hard. She seems to not understand English when I told her I stop. Now my toe is infected swollen and very painful. I can't put close toe shoes and I can go and exercise or walk too much brood the pain. I am keeping it wrap with ant antibiotics ointment. I hopes it helps and I won't have to go to a de because of this place. I will never go back or ever never recommend this place. Be smart and stay away read more

Have been going to this place for 15 years. The nail tech I had, rushed the service. My pedicure was 12 minutes long from start to finish with regular polish. i'm going to give one star just because I can't do zero. That was the worst pedicure I've ever had. 25 minutes from the time I was called back until I checked out and walked out the front door. The person next to me received a foot massage while I didn't get any foot massage, and in fact, she never touched the bottom of my feet. when I first went to sit down, I had to ask them to drain the water because it was full of hair and other peoples slime and gunk. This place is very dirty and every chair is ripped and full of holes. I am so embarrassed that I gave someone a gift certificate for this establishment a while back. I asked three times for clear polish on my nails but she never applied anything. before I stood up after the "so called" pedicure, she already filled the water and waited for me to stand so the next person could sit. When asked if they could replicate a photo I was told yes then after getting a pedicure with shoddy polish, I was told they could not do the manicure in the photo I originally showed them so now I have a pedicure with shoddy polish and no manicure to match. If they had told me they could not replicate the manicure in the photo when I walked in, I would have spent my time finding a salon that could as opposed to spending over an hour getting a poorly done pedicure. Kevin and Carrie Le own Hannah's Beauty Salon. I found this salon completely by accident after noticing a massage promotion sign. I started off with massage, then nails, on to pedicures and facials. Matter of fact, I do not think they provide a service I have not tried or continue to use. I always call for an appointment because Kevin and Carrie are very busy - a reflection of their exceptional work. I am very picky about my nails, so I stick with Carrie or Kevin. That is not to say no one else is good - they both know exactly what I want. I have acrylic fingernails and toenails. They have an excellent esthetician, Stephanie D., who gives one of the best massages I have ever had. I have neck and shoulder pain and she is a pro at stretching and releasing painful trigger points. You do have to call ahead for an appointment with Stephanie. I did screw up once and had Tara attempt to color my hair. She was way overbooked that day, was rushing and was NOT inclined to "fix" the brass circle in the back of my hair. Even though it was on the BACK of my head, I could still SEE it and she could too. She tried to act like nothing was wrong and blow it off. Oh, I think not. I have been having my hair bleached for YEARS and I know sometimes it doesn't turn out great. I don't have an issue w/ that. I do have an issue w/ a stylist displaying general apathy when my hair looked horrible! She's probably fine trimming bangs and ends, but be advised allowing her to color or do anything too complex. As far as price comparison on services in Springfield, I am not a good judge. I have not had anyone else in Springfield do my nails since college. I personally think their prices are very reasonable and they have never tried to encourage me to tack on extra this or extra that. With the exception of Tara not caring about screwing up my hair color, I highly recommend their services and this salon. read more

My daughter came to Hannah's today for graduation nails. They quoted her one price over the phone but charged her $15 more. The "manager" Carrie did her nails. She was rude to her as well as other customers, wouldn't let her look at her nails & left the table 3 times during the visit having other people jump in to work on her nails. When she saw the atrocious French tips, she asked for them just be painted a solid color since there wasn't time to re do them. Carrie said, "they're going to look bad but ok". My daughter left with very thick, jagged & lumpy nails that weren't even painted on the sides, although she had paint on her fingers. I returned asking for a refund & Carrie was unbelievably rude. She had her voice raised for the whole place to hear and blamed my daughter for her poor work. We have had a few other bad experiences here but decided to give it another try, mainly because it's easy to get in..... now I know why. The poor work, lack of customer service & refusal to take responsibility & make a situation right shows how Carrie runs her business. I've been here before it was okay I waited like 10 minutes even when they were busy. But when I came back today I waited around 40 minutes. They repeatedly told me a few more minutes and I waited. But they weren't even that busy only 2 people waiting, while people ahead of me were getting in with appointments. I called before to make sure they could get me in due to me being in a rush. Today I spent quite a few hours getting services done today. My step daughters both got mani pedis and hair done. They were treated with every single bit of respect you'd expect an adult to relieve and both love the hair Kayla did for them. Katlin did my hair, I've never been more impressed with someone's skill in my life. She's phenomenal and the best my hair came out amazing. That being said the rest of the staff were undescribable in the way the treated other patrons and clients. During my time there there was a constant stream of people getting work done. I am SO infuriated right now. I'm not sure why my luck is so bad with nail salons but here we go again... I've gone into this place only since December 21st. I've been in there about 5-6 times now since. The first set of nails I had were good, came in to get that set filled and the next day the thumbnail snapped in half when I pushed a button to lock a bathroom door. Went in and they fixed it. The next day, my other thumb nail literally fell apart in half. The tip just folded over and fell off...went back in again and they fixed it. A few days later.. more nails popped off. My pointer finger and my middle on the same hand. The entire nail. Went back again and they fixed it and I got a fill, that I PAID FOR. Once again a few popped off and so I just said screw it, I'll just get a new set. I JUST GOT THESE DONE ON SATURDAY. As soon as I left... a rhinestone fell off. All I did was get in my car and leave the parking lot.. so there I go BACK in the salon and they glue it back on except there's glue all over the top of the nail and the rhinestone.. so no longer is it shiny and I just paid $5 per stupid little rhinestone. Yesterday I was at the grocery store and all I did was grab my wallet out of my bag and the pointer finger fell off... this morning im sitting here at my desk and as I'm telling my co-worker AND SOMEONE I REFERRED TO THAT SALON TO GIVE THEM BUSINESS...they just start lifting off... 6 nails are off now so I go back into the salon and I'm pretty fed up at this point because I have had to come in there MULTIPLE times to have them fixed... and I've spent $100 in less then a month. I was completely kind and said to the owner, "Look I really like you guys and I enjoy coming here. But this is completely ridiculous. I just want my money back and that's it. I don't want them fixed or to waste anyone's time." The lady who is apparently the owner immediately started getting rude with me and making all kinds of excuses that make NO sense. First she says that I obviously peeled them off. Well if there's a nail lifted half way off my actual nail... NO I'm not going to leave it till it eventually falls off on its own. I type all day so that's not really something I can work around. Second... you should not be able to peel off a NEW acrylic nail. I shouldn't even be able to lift the corner of the bitch!! Then she said I'm too hard on my hands, I told her I work at a desk in a office typing and answering a phone.. then she said they're too long?? They're not long. Whatsoever. She said they do this all day every day and it's not their fault or anything wrong with their products. Lady, I grew up in a salon. I know exactly what bad work looks like. I just simply wanted my money back and was very polite. Because of your rudeness, ripping me off and horrible customer service, I will NEVER step foot in there or refer anyone else to this place ever again. I HATE BAD SERVICE AND EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I just want nice nails. Made an appointment for myself and a friend for pedicures at 1 PM Sat. When we arrived we were directed to the small room in the back. The larger room was completely full of people sitting elbow to elbow in every chair there so I was glad to be going to the other room because no one was in it. We got settled in and then two more people came in and of course had to sit next to us elbow to elbow. A girl came in and started on the youngest of those two then another worker started on my friend and then another worker started on the other lady. Meanwhile I sit there waiting and the water my feet are in is getting cold. I sat there for an hour and 15 minutes before anyone started on mine. I would have walked out but had to wait for my friend anyway. Very unprofessional!! We will not be going back and we have been going there for 3 years now!! read more

I went here since they were open on a Sunday. They had an entire wall of gel colors and an equal amount of regular polish. The $20 pedicure special was not lacking in any way. My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed it. They had eight massage chairs in a side room with a 50" to watch while getting a pedicure. I've had excellent pedicures here and so-so pedicures. The trick is to catch the name of the person who does my nails and then schedule with that specific person the next time I call. I had my fingernails painted one time and felt like the nail technician did as good of a job as I could do. That disappointed me. What I like best is there are two salons. One on Battlefield and one on Republic Road. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes at either one of them. My visits have always been on a weekend. read more

I had a full set of acrylic nails done, but after 3 days they were lifting. When I went back to get a fill and mentioned the lifting-all the lady said to me was "Oh, it's normal". I've been before and had a good experience but yesterday I went for a pedicure with my sisters wedding party. They consistently pushed us back to take care of walk ins. When I finally went back the foot water was cold and I waited for 20 minutes and they kept telling me to put my feet in the cold water while I waited. Then, she rushed through clipping my toenails and made one bleed and dug at the cuticle on another. Then she poured alcohol on it. The whole pedicure was miserable because my two hurt so bad. I made an appointment at Hannah's (my friend had been gettin her nails done here and loved it!) so i said what the hey, why not. I scheduled my appointment with Shannon....she is so friendly and helpful and awesome!! I feel very blessed to have found my hairdresser, who knows her stuff!! She took her time because i wanted red highlights over my black....which is a hot mess! But it turned out awesome and i love it and i will never ever ever go to another place! At first I was pleased with the service at Hannah's although I was a tad concerned about the cleanliness of the salon. I watched a quick spray and wipe of the foot tubs before the next person. Also, being diabetic I did ask if they sterilized their pedicure tools after each person and was assured they did. During my pedicure the technician poked just the tiniest hole in my foot that barely produced a drop of blood. It got infected and I had to see my doctor and take a regimen of antibiotics. When I told them about it they blew it off as no big deal and did not even offer any compensation. My daughter had a pedicure shorty after that chipped and was ruined the day after it was done. My mom and I went here for pedicures after reading the reviews here. We were very impressed with the pedicures. So, I decided to come back another time for a full set for myself, and boy was I disappointed! First off, I told the lady that I wanted to glitter tips. Instead of using the actual glitter powder like I've always had done, she actually uses glitter polish and paints the tips of the nails! Needless to say, there is now a ridge on each nail where it goes from polish to not. Second the nails are extremely thick, and one nail has several "dimples" in it! Let me start by saying there is a girl named Tara who does nails at this salon and I completely exclude her from this post, she does an amazing job and works very hard. However, the rest of the staff is come and go. The work is average, I've done better. I got a pedicure and the paint chipped the next day, I went back and they offered to fix it, but let a young (14-15) year old girl do it. She didn't remove the previous polish well and the new polish was done horribly leaving excess color on my skin. My mother also had a bad experience and ended up getting an infection, she let them know about it and got nothing more than a "oops". Them waited .5 hrs after appointment time before they began working on my nails. I asked for a specific style of acrylic nails and was told no problem. The nails received were not the style requested. They were thick in places and thin in others. Now 1 week later the nails are cracking and snapping off. To top it all off...they were nasty and rude.
