We came here this Saturday for a tasting. I have a small yorkie I carry in a sling. Since they were bottling inside, we could not bring my dog inside so we sat on the patio. I applaud the owners for rescuing their dogs but I am warning everyone reading this, do not bring your dog here unless you are holding your dog in your arms the entire time. There were 3 wines to taste and we didn't like any of them. The 2016 Malvasia was both sour and sweet and the Reisling was dry and very oaky due the oak chips they use in the barrel. The fourth and last tasting was of their peach bellini sushi mix that you can add your own wine to but they added one of theirs to it. It was sickeningly sweet and I couldn't drink it. I would have been interested to try red sangria slushy. Their dogs seemed normal and calm walking around the backyard. I kept my dog on leash and stood by them at first. After the 2nd taste of wine, I let me dog loose right next to us. Within a couple minutes one of their large dogs attacked my yorkie. We were very lucky that my boyfriend turned around and grabbed her before she was hurt. There was slobber on my dogs back where their dog put its mouth on her. This is why I do not recommend bringing your dog here unless you are holding the dog at all times. Honestly I'm surprised they still charged us for the tasting after this. We were so shook up, we almost got up and left after it happened without finishing the tasting. read more

We were out trying the Sonoita wineries for the first time. Hannah's seemed to get very good reviews and looked homey and quaint in pics so we stopped there as our second tasting destination. I am giving 3 stars only because of the friendliness of the proprietor. She is a fellow dog lover who rescues and has her beautiful pets roaming the winery. Putting that aside, this winery does not make a good first impression. It has the decor of a back patio with lots of clutter, nik naks and only a few tables. It sits lower than many of the sister wineries in the area, so there is no real view. If I were the owner, I'd declutter, redecorate, add some new furniture and give the winery a style makeover. After all, customers are paying for these tastings. Tasting prices are average, but if you don't bring your own glass you will need to purchase theirs for $6 (not optional unlike the previous winery we had been to were purchasing was optional). With two mandatory wine glasses and three very subpar tastings, our tab was $30. Now, onto the wines. There were 3. I'm sorry to say this, but they were not good wines. In fact, the Malvasia Bianca Quartz 2020 was the worst wine we have ever tried. Metallic, mineral, dirt tasting. We were informed that these are grapes that grow up amongst the rocks and that's why it has that name. These grapes must be the bottom feeder rejects of the grape world! Table next to us actually dumped that same wine into the grass. If you want a nice friendly conversation with a dog lover, visit Hannah's. If you want a nice outdoor experience and good wine..... The road is a little bumpy on the way down for a sedan to handle but everyone there was so friendly! The dogs were cute and tips go to a rescue dog fund. We got a cute magnet for tipping. I enjoyed the dry Riesling and the slushee we got to try. The owners were so great. We got to take the wineglass and use it at all of the other venues which was nice to not have to get a new one at each one. They suggested we try their neighbors vineyard and it was also an excellent recommendation. Just a heads up the bathroom is a porta potty, but it was very clean! read more

Place is a disaster. Vines are overgrown with grass and mostly dead. Crap stacked up all over just piles of crap. There is no ambiance and worst tasting wine I've ever tasted. A total waste of a stop. There are some great wineries/vineyards in the area this just isn't one. It's obvious that the owner have given up a while ago there is no pride in even the buildings nor vineyard. 1 is apparently the lowest rating I can give. read more

Absolutely shocking. There is ONE sign to tell you where to go. We followed that sign, thankfully in my 4Runner, and NEVER found the spot. We in fact had to do a 3-point turn in the desert . Safe to say I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They shouldn't call themselves Hannah's hill, rather 'Hannah UNDER the hill'. 10/10 DO NOT recommend.... read more

It's hard to write a review on Hannah's Hill. The woman who did our tastings was so unbelievably nice and so passionate about rescuing dogs that writing anything bad about the experience seems disloyal to her genuine niceness. With all the excellent reviews of this place, I believe many people feel the same way. However, when she plopped down those little wide opening plastic cups, I knew the tasting was not going to be very good. Wine glasses are designed to improve the nose and taste of wine. Plastic cups are for drinking gin and tonic. She had 3 wines and a strange slushy wine for us to try. I skipped the slushy, I can get that at Circle K if I want a slushy. Those wide opening cups lent nothing to the nose nor palate of the wine. I found all 3 wines to be unpalatable. She told us the vineyard produces wines with friends and it's more of a hobby endeavor for the owners. The wines we tried as well as the setting really reflected that. We came because my niece Hannah had graduated college that week and I thought it would be fun to bring our Hannah to Hannah's Hill. Aside from the lovely conversation and niceness of the woman working that day, I would never recommend coming here. I hope they do a little renovating of their tasting area, clean up the grounds a bit and renew their commitment to producing some drinkable wines. Oh, and please get come wine glasses. Plastic is just not acceptable. This place has potential, but unfortunately I feel like we wasted our money and time here. read more

They have a stellar view and a cozy patio. I've even ordered their wines online when I couldn't come in person - they make great gifts for friends and I love to keep a couple bottles at home for when I have company because they are so well liked and easy to drink! We had a great experience at Hannah's Hill! A stop you should make, great view, big beautiful white german shepards, perfect weather for outside seating and of course we really like their wine. Was here on Sunday celebrating my sisters birthday. We were welcomed right away by two friendly giant dogs, who walked us all the way to the tasting room, where we were greeted by the owner. We got 6 samples of delicious wine, a white sangria and peach bellini The bellini and sangria are into the sweater side which I am not much into but I must say they were delicious and super refreshing. My sister loved it!!! She walked out with one to take home with her. For me it was all about the Arizona Grenache. The experience begins when the wine is poured into the glass. The unique copper color of this wine is mesmerizing and attracts anyones curiosity. In flavor it is a beautiful well balanced red with a crisp to it. Once you get over the fascination of the color your palate is presented with one more surprise, smoke!!!! There is a very subtle smokiness but since I love smokey drinks I was able to catch it right away. The owner told us the story behind this flavor but Ill let you hear it from herself if you get to go and try it yourself. Which I absolutely recommend for you to do. read more
