I'm used to having plenty of land to step outside in your birthday suit and no one sees you! However.... moving into the Regency Summit shook me to my little country core. I love being in a safe place with a guard on attendance 24/7. I love having a pool, sauna, gym and steam room all within a few steps. I love that I have two balconies to take in the Birmingham sites from. I love that I don't have to fight traffic or even leave my unit to see the fireworks from Vulcan at 4th of July. I love being able to watch storms roll in and I'm safe and secure on my 6th floor. But most of all, I feel so grateful that I get to watch my new city and home wake up with the morning sunshine and go to sleep with all the lights twinkling back at me. Coming from Fairhope, I am often asked when am I returning to my house in the country.... well let's just say I have no plans in the near or far future. This is my home and I'm in love with my new city.

Don't get confused, they all three look the same, but are all very different. What makes this location so great is the Birmingham view, the amenities and the people who live there. Honestly it's a mixed, but most people initially think it's an older crowd.....well....maybe it was at one time. Watch amazing sunrises and sunsets every day. Kind, respectful neighbors. Extremely solid, quality construction. Great soundproofing inside the units. Common areas all recently renovated and updated. Security gate with guard. Salt water pool, tennis courts, gym with new equipment, library, party room, storage, etc. Truly a hidden gem. I'm 35 and may well end up living here for decades. Everyone who visits me for the first time is blown away. For those with allergies, note is a pet free facility.

It happened once, then two weeks later, it happened again, and it took the efforts of the City of Hoover after a couple of weeks after that to actually tell people to stop using their decks. Then Engel finally put up their own notices. This isn't just a case of "poor management" this company now has a history of criminal negligence. When I was apartment hunting, I was recommended Waterford Landings from someone who lived there before, and I tried to contact the people; the main contact I had before had been fired, and I never heard back from anyone else. This was around the time of the massive destructions; of course I hadn't heard of those horrible incidents until recently (I've only been in the area for 2 weeks). Now I'm really glad I didn't try to rent there (cheap or not)...

We have contacted Engel Realty on numerous occasions and left multiple messages to 3 different people that supposedly are the head of Engel Realty and have not received a response from anyone. If you do any business with this company be sure to get payment up front!! Our company certainly will NOT do business with them again!

The building is surrounding a pool, with carpet on the grounds. The units doors and window face the pool;each have an ac unit under the window. This is one reason for mold. The manager claimed the unit was over burdened with stuff. Ok, stuff moved into storage. They painted the unit ; special paint they claimed. The mold is back with a vengeance . I'm moving my daughter out and suggest they renovate for the health of these students.

While I was skeptical about living in a split-level town home, it was the best decision I've made. The community is beautiful, and the staff have been nothing but helpful. Since moving in, I have had issues with my air conditioning and my upstairs bathtub leaking. Both were resolved quickly and professionally. While the apartments aren't brand new, they are well-maintained by management who has an investment in the community. I can't recommend them highly enough. A+++!
